A miserable Paddy ponders over the previous night's events and confirms to Marlon that the engagement is off. As they contemplate life, Toni masks her sadness with anger and stormily packs her belongings after making the decision to stay with Latisha. When she bumps into Paddy, she is furious to see him in high spirits.

Having learnt from Bob that his confession was intended to protect Jamie, Viv finds it difficult to keep her emotions in check. Confused by her change in behaviour, Jamie is shocked when she finally snaps and demands that he admit the truth about the murder. He furiously protests his innocence. David confides in Del that he wants Eric to trust him, and when he reveals their plans to go into business together, she voices concerns.

Eric succeeds in his plan to intercept the DNA results from the courier, but Val discovers him sat staring at the unopened envelope in his office. Imploring both Eric and a nervous David to open it together, Val runs out of patience and tears open the results herself. When they’re revealed to be positive, David is thrilled and hugs a stunned Eric.

Still stung by Andy’s lies, Katie argues with him over his concern for Jo and he accuses her of inviting Jackie over simply to stir things up. Meanwhile, Jackie continues to pour scorn on Jo’s life, and Andy feels moved to confront her. Jackie springs to her defences and gives him her side of the story, suggesting that Jo has lied. Confused, Andy is torn whether to believe mother or daughter. Over at Edna’s, Len and Pearl’s attempts to coax her out of the house prove difficult. Pearl almost has a breakthrough when she remarks that Tootsie must be missing her walks. Edna agrees, but then suggests that Pearl walk her dog instead. Resignedly, Pearl takes Tootsie out but when distracted by Betty, manages to lose her in the village. Meanwhile, Gray lies to Perdy about a meeting with the Kings’ accountant, but instead burns the midnight oil at the casino with Diane.

Katie is insistent that Jo should leave Butlers Farm, despite Andy’s worries about her mother. As Jo packs her bags she is riled by Jackie’s insults. Mother and daughter have a vicious argument, to the shock of Katie, who orders Jackie to leave. Meanwhile, Zak is alarmed to discover Edna’s dog Tootsie caught in one of his traps. Edna is mortified to discover the extent of her injuries and rushes Tootsie to the vet's. Paddy and Hari are poles apart in their assessment of the dog’s condition with money being the major obstacle. Elsewhere, Perdy rumbles Grayson after finding a matchbox from the casino in his pocket. After a barrage of questions Grayson admits that he was at the casino with the Kings’ accountant. He challenges Perdy to call the accountant for proof but is relieved when she backs off.

Hari spins a web of lies in order to extort more money from Edna. Louise is shocked to hear from Edna that Hari claimed to have cared for Tootsie overnight, knowing that he spent the night with her. When Paddy suggests that they lower Edna's bill, Hari reacts angrily and urges Louise to support him. Meanwhile, Andy is sympathetic after Jo’s bust-up with her mum. He apologises for not believing her and Jo breaks down in his arms.

Matthew plays on Perdy’s insecurities and suggests that she confront Grayson about his infidelity. Unaware that Grayson is secretly going to casinos with Diane, she accuses Paul of sleeping with her husband. After he vehemently denies her accusations, she and Paul have a heart-to-heart about her history with Grayson. Paul confronts Grayson about the toll his double life takes on his wife.

Kelly’s plan to bankrupt Jimmy appears to be working until he turns up with only half of the £30,000. Sensing her disappointment, Jimmy quickly promises he’ll have the rest of the cash tomorrow. Later in The Woolpack, Scott doubts Kelly's ability to pull off the scam.

Kelly gets the rest of the money from Jimmy and prepares to leave the village with his cash. But her plans are foiled when Jimmy turns up and sees her getting into the taxi with her bags. Jimmy is hurt by Kelly's betrayal and he has a go at her. Kelly storms off, but she's wracked by guilt and later turns up at Home Farm and returns the money to him, telling him that she's fallen in love with him. Rosemary finds herself under constant attack by the King brothers who want her out of their home.

Ashley has serious reservations about the content of Jasmine’s article and worries for his niece. Nevertheless, she meets with McNally and offers him her article in exchange for some work experience. He is tempted by her knowledge of the village and agrees to the arrangement. Elsewhere, Kelly is determined to escape the village after Jimmy rejects her. Paul appeals to Jimmy, who says that Kelly is only remorseful because she was caught. Sensing his failure, Paul returns to wave goodbye to Kelly. Also, Lisa reassures a worried Belle that the psychologist's tests will just consist of a few questions. Belle flies through the tests with ease and Zak promises her that whatever happens she will always be a Dingle and Chas is taken in for questioning.

Diane is forced to lie to the police to protect Chas. Back at the Dingles’, Chas explains that she was drunk on the wedding day and can’t recall her movements for at least two hours. It quickly becomes clear that Chas doesn’t have a watertight alibi and she is persuaded to escape the village. Back at Home Farm, Carl is furious with Rosemary’s attempts to frame Chas and sets off to find his former fiancée. M

When the murder weapon doesn’t turn up, the police decide to comb Home Farm for clues. Their search proves to be fruitless before Jimmy tells them to check Tom’s cabinets. Various possessions are missing and Pearl frets when Matthew implicates Len. Elsewhere, Chas worries that Eli will attract unwanted attention if he sells the loot from Home Farm. However, he ignores her and offers the goods to Rodney who dismisses him instantly. Things begin to look bleak for the Dingles when Rodney seeks out Rosemary in The Woolpack and spills the beans about Eli having some of the King's possessions. Also, Rodney revels in his success with the Jag sale and decides to canvass interest in his new venture – solar power!

Following Rosemary’s tip-off, the police raid the Dingles’ home. Eli’s stolen goods are found and he is arrested. Carl calls Chas to tell her the news and she dashes to the Dingles’ as Eli is lead away. Carl is suspicious. Later, Rosemary accompanies Vaughan for lunch in The Woolpack and Diane sees the opportunity for Chas to curry favour with the police. Her plan backfires spectacularly when Rosemary mocks Eli's arrest. Chas hurls herself at Rosemary and Vaughan wastes no time in arresting her for assault. Elsewhere, Scott puts Debbie in charge at the garage, but she struggles to service Ashley’s car. Debbie offers to pay Lisa if she will help and as a team they do a much better job. After paying Lisa £10 she charges Ashley £120 for the service.

Chas is interrogated by Barraclough and Dasari over the assault. She tries to dismiss it as a misunderstanding but it isn’t that simple when the horse's head that Eli stole is identified as the murder weapon. The Dingles’ day reaches a shocking conclusion when they are both arrested under suspicion of murder. Meanwhile, the King brothers consult Tom’s solicitor and Rosemary worries about their scheming. Mitchell informs the boys that in the event of Tom's death his will stated that the property development would be sold and any money used to pay debts at Home Farm Estates. The brothers are horrified when it becomes clear that Rosemary benefits from their father's death. Also, Daz is distraught to fail almost all his mock exams. Jack reassures him after Daz worries that he will always be playing catch-up. Daz vows not to fail like his father did and Jack agrees to help him find a job.

Rosemary takes delight in informing Carl of Chas’ arrest. Later, when the family start planning Tom’s funeral, Rosemary voices her relief that the investigation is concluding. Matthew accuses her of wanting to forget about Tom and retire on his riches. Meanwhile, Chas and Eli are questioned further by the police who reveal their fingerprints to be all over the horse's head statue. Chas confesses that Eli stole the loot, before Eli shocks everyone by saying he took the statue before the wedding day. Carl clears them when he informs the police of the existence of another horse statue...currently missing. Angered over the lack of attention paid to the garage, Jack orders Debbie to employ Daz. Elsewhere, Terry quietly returns to the village with TJ in tow. Nobody notices as he slips back into Connelton View, studying the news coverage of Tom's murder.

Bob persuades Terry to give the police his statement, but their aggressive questioning worries him. He is eventually released, but not before they draw attention to his confrontation with Tom prior to the wedding and his subsequent flight from the village. Later, Louise offers to give him an alibi. Elsewhere, David pitches his new cleaning business to the villagers and secures Grayson’s custom. A furious Laurel confronts David and demands an explanation for him stealing her business. Also, Matthew and Carl are disgruntled when Rosemary invites Vaughan to Home Farm for dinner and resolve to scupper her evening. Rosemary isn’t impressed when Matthew returns later on with a hussy on his arm and a drink in his hand.

Bob panics when he receives a letter confirming Billy Hopwood has been granted parole. He chooses to hide the evidence from Viv but faces Kelly’s wrath when she finds out. She is furious when it transpires that Bob could have prevented Billy from returning to the village, if he had told Viv, and demands that he comes clean to his family. Meanwhile, Matthew schemes as he warns Barraclough that he will make an official complaint about Vaughan’s personal relationship with Rosemary. Barraclough immediately alerts Vaughan to Matthew’s threat and the chief agrees to back off for the sake of the investigation. Elsewhere, Katie takes the brunt of Andy’s anger over Billy’s release. Jo tries to ease the tension and tells Andy he should convince Billy to stay away. Grateful for her support, Andy thanks Jo and the bond between them grows.

Viv decides to visit Billy in prison to ease her fears over his return. She outlines that his crime was unforgivable but for the sake of moving on with her life she allows him to return to the village. She burst into tears on the way out and Bob consoles his wife. When they get home Kelly rips into Viv for her stupidity. Elsewhere, Andy continues to take out his frustration on Katie and it plays into Jo’s hands. She organises an orienteering day for the three of them but Katie insists that Donna joins them. When the two of them are alone, Andy tells Jo that he wishes it could be only the two of them going. Also, David undercuts Laurel’s prices to win clients for his cleaning business. His actions impress Eric but he warns his son not to pinch workers from the factory to join his staff. David agrees and turns his attention to poaching Betty.

Katie struggles on the orienteering day and admits to Donna that she might be pregnant. Meanwhile, Andy rushes off with Jo and the pair of them flirt in the woods. Andy confesses that he has less in common with Katie than he does with Jo and moves in for a kiss. Jo pulls away insisting that she doesn’t want to be the other woman and that Andy must decide what he wants. Later, Kelly continues to avoid Viv because of Billy so Jimmy tries to comfort her. But when Kelly sees Daz her anger boils over and she threatens to kill Billy if he turns up. Daz is nonplussed and asks Jack for answers. Equally furious, Jack and Kelly both demand that Viv explain her actions but she bluntly tells them that Billy will return whether they want him to or not. Elsewhere, David continues his charm offensive in order to win Betty over. Laurel is fuming when she defects and confronts David in the café. She is shocked when he ignores her protests and offers her a job as well.

Rodney demands that David atone for stealing his workers but instead he finds a loophole in Rodney's tenancy agreement and orders him to leave the antiques barn. Eric is amused by Rodney's downfall and praises his son's actions. However, Del is horrified when she sees how crushed Rodney is and declares that she wants nothing more to do with David. Meanwhile, Jo badgers Andy for a decision about their relationship but his problems are compounded when Katie tells him her period is late. Andy pleads with Jo to give him more time to break the news but she is relentless. Also, Matthew questions Perdy for clues about Tom’s murder and her answers implicate Rosemary. Matthew pushes for Perdy to make a statement but she doesn’t want to cause further problems in her marriage. Later, with Vaughan present, Matthew takes the initiative and accuses Rosemary of murder.

Billy arrives back in the village but his sons react differently to their father. Andy demands that Billy leaves them alone but Daz has divided loyalties. After catching Daz on his own, Billy tries to convince him to meet in secret. Meanwhile, Val feels sympathy for Rodney’s situation but Eric refuses to help. Rodney spends his day drinking in The Woolpack and mocks Val’s attempts at an apology. Desperate to help she convinces David to give Rodney some compensation and infuriates Eric by allowing Rodney to stay at Farrers. Elsewhere, Kelly worries about Billy’s return and refuses to go outside. Jimmy does his best to comfort her and reassures her that he will support her. Kelly determines to do something about Billy.

Andy is shocked when Daz admits that he wants to see Billy. Andy instructs him to stay away but Daz later agrees to meet his dad in secret. Billy hopes that he and Daz can repair the damage of the past, but they fail to see Victoria spying on their meeting. Elsewhere, Jo is frustrated by Andy's failure to make a decision and fumes when Katie asks her to give her and Andy some space for the evening. She agrees and storms off to The Woolpack where an older man flirts with her. As the night progresses she is shocked to learn that her mystery man is Billy. Also, McNally attempts to speak with Daz and Andy about Billy's release but he is sent packing by Jack. Desperate for the scoop he orders Jasmine to question Daz but she feels guilty when her friend tells her everything. McNally demands to know the result of their chat.

Kelly is thrilled to see that the article about Billy has made the front page of the local rag. However, Viv is far from pleased when she hears it from Billy and a row blows up between her and Kelly. Upset by harsh words from Viv, Kelly visits Vic’s grave but is shocked to be confronted by Billy. Meanwhile, Victoria reveals to Daz that she knows about his meeting with Billy. When her attempts to blackmail him fail, she spitefully tells Jack what's been going on behind his back. At The Woolpack, when Donna and Marlon find out that Luke has been sick during the night after smuggling vodka out of the pub, they realise that having four kids in a pub won’t be as simple as they first thought. When Donna demands exclusive use of the back room, she and Val lock horns.

At the end of her tether, a nicotine-deprived Val storms round to the post office, leaving with a packet of cigarettes. As she takes a long, satisfying drag in the backroom, she's interrupted by Paul and in a panic tosses the cigarette into the bin, leaving it smouldering. Meanwhile, Rodney and Eric continue to chide each other as Rodney keeps his feet very much under the table. Stuck in the middle, Val suggests to Paul that he may want to put his father up for a while. Still upset over her war of words with Kelly, Viv takes on board Bob’s counsel when he points out that although she lost a husband, a father can never be replaced. A remorseful Viv tries to make amends with Kelly.

After the previous day's events, Marlon and Donna wake up after an uncomfortable night at the Dingles’. Desperate to find new accommodation before their meeting with social services, they’re forced to face the fact that the cramped Dingle homestead is their only option. At the meeting, they admit that they plan on staying at the Dingles, but the social worker thinks otherwise and lets the kids stay where they are. Donna storms to the Woolpack and blames Val for the mess they're in. Billy continues to court controversy in the village. He receives a cool reception from Alan, and is sent packing when Katie finds him at Butler's Farm helping Jo to fix her motorbike. Later when Jimmy squares up to him, a confused Daz instinctively steps in. Meanwhile, as Jimmy makes life on the bins hard for Billy, Kelly continues to fret over his presence.

Donna and Marlon spend another uncomfortable night kipping in the Dingle living room and they realise that they need to sort out their accommodation fast. Zak thinks he has the answer to all their problems but the couple are stunned when he cheerfully offers them use of a dilapidated old caravan and Donna starts to seriously regret her decision to leave the pub. Jack is still annoyed that Diane is refusing to bar Billy from the pub, saying that he has a right to be a customer. Daz overhears Jack telling Diane that Billy's not the kind of man she wants to be serving and he jumps in to defend his dad. Jack worries that Billy seems to be having some effect on Daz.

When Diane forgets to pick up Victoria and Kayleigh up from the youth club night, Victoria sees an opportunity to go clubbing. As they queue up outside the venue, Kayleigh bottles out whilst Victoria gets friendly with an 18-year-old. When he suggests they sneak round the back in order to get in quicker, she soon discovers he's got more than a queue-jump in mind.

After the events the night before, Andy is astonished to discover that Jo has used her own special brand of medicine to comfort Billy. Meanwhile, Billy puts two and two together and realises that Jo has used him in order to stir something in Andy. Concerned that his son could be about to make a huge mistake, Billy tries to warn him against getting involved with Jo. Rodney is still desperate to sell on the solar panels that he acquired from Georgina. With the help of Jamie, he manages this but is frustrated to hear that he's still made a loss. Meanwhile, both Jimmy and Billy begin to suspect that Kelly had a hand in the accident.

Jo is set to leave Andy and the village behind until he discovers that Katie’s pregnancy is a false alarm. Andy races after Jo's taxi and manages to prevent the woman he loves from going. Billy admonishes his son for his stupidity, but Andy is enraged and attacks him. Katie is distraught to realise both her husband and supposed friend have deceived her. Meanwhile, Rodney's persistence pays off when Georgina suggests they have a more personal meeting. The homeless entrepreneur is forced to think on his feet and arranges a liaison at Victoria Cottage. But their saucy antics are interrupted by Paul and Emily. Elsewhere, Donna is adamant that Marlon resuming his job at The Woolpack is not the solution to their residential problems. She fumes after visiting the pub, realising that it is business as usual. Meanwhile, Marlon suffers a back injury while working on the eco home.

Rodney continues in his quest to bed Georgina by using Laurel's cleaning keys to gain access to Mill Cottage. With Perdy and Gray out for the day, the randy pair get down to 'business'. However, the Sinclairs arrive back early and an irate Perdy throws them out. Rodney has no choice but to confess everything to Georgina and she storms off. Meanwhile, with Andy and Jo shacked up at the B&B, the villagers offer their support to a heartbroken Katie.

Jamie is concerned that he and Terry are under police surveillance when a car is parked outside the B&B. Racked with worry he confronts the spy, only to realise that his suspicions are wide of the mark. A paranoid Jamie opens his heart to Jasmine who encourages him to entertain her theory about who the murderer is. Elsewhere, Paul urges Rodney to get his money back from Georgina and he arranges to meet her in The Woolpack. Rodney tries to sweet-talk Georgina but they are interrupted by her angry husband Roy who isn't convinced their meetings are strictly business.

Debbie tries to capitalise on the successful casino scam and she books a hotel room herself. Despite Eli's objections he agrees to go with her and Debbie leads a second gentleman upstairs. The plan works once more but even less smoothly than previously after Eli misses his cue. After they secure the punter's money Eli is convinced that they should stop. Meanwhile, during an argument over Bob's work commitments, Viv starts to experience contractions.

Jasmine tries to ply Jamie for more information and confides her suspicions to McNally. He orders her to get a confession from Jamie so she sets up a meeting with her friend. They meet that afternoon where Jamie believes that Jasmine wants to seduce him. As he makes his move, she confuses him by posing questions about the photograph. Their conversation is interrupted by the click of the tape recorder and Jasmine scarpers. Also, Marlon faces his worst nightmare when he is forced to wait on Viv. His day gets worse during a game of Scrabble when Viv gets cramp and persuades him to give her a foot rub. Bizarrely the tension between them eases and they get on fairly well. Elsewhere, Debbie uses the money from the casino scam to buy a taxi and announces her intention to set-up her own firm. She lies to Daz when he questions her about where she got the money and is buoyed by Len's encouraging words.

Donna and Kelly head off to her passing out parade while Bob, Marlon and Paddy wait for an unwell Viv. However, their car conks out on the moors just as Viv's waters break. Panic ensues as Marlon sets off to find help, leaving Bob and Paddy to deliver the babies. Bob is lost for words as he delivers his daughter and Paddy is equally stunned as he is left with the awkward responsibility of delivering baby number two. Mother and father are overjoyed with the twins and their exhaustion gives way to the promise of a happier future.

Jamie breaks down under the pressure and admits to Jasmine that his alibi for Tom’s murder is weak and worries that the whole village thinks he’s the murderer. Later, Debbie overhears Jasmine filling McNally in on Jamie’s troubles. Debbie realises that the camera Jasmine has lost is the one in her possession. When Jamie receives a letter with the words ‘You’re Nicked’ he worries the camera may have fallen into the wrong hands.

Jamie empties his bank account in an effort to pay off his blackmailer. Jasmine is astonished when he demands £300 to help his cause. Chas convinces Jamie to tell her what is wrong and he asks her for the money instead. Chas tells him to calm down but Jamie ignores her and heads off to the drop-off point with Jasmine. Both are angered, but not surprised when Debbie appears demanding the money from Jamie in half an hour. Elsewhere, Paul and Diane are surprised when they get an invitation to Sharon’s wedding. They worry whether Val has been invited to her own daughter’s wedding. As Val breezes in, blissfully unaware her daughter’s impending marriage,

Blissfully unaware of Sharon’s arrival, Val explains to Diane that the reason she hasn’t spoken to Sharon is because Sharon stole from her when she was younger. Paul regards his half-sister coldly and it is clear there are some issues between them as well. He orders her to leave the village but Diane is more restrained and talks to Sharon about the past and that she should apologise to Val. With Sarah causing friction at the Vet's, Jo talks to Andy and urges him to move out of Paddy’s house. She desperately wants a place of their own and suggests moving back into Butler's Farm at Katie’s expense.

After reading about Sharon’s marriage in a magazine, Val visits the hotel where she's staying and pretends to be Diane. Val drinks herself into oblivion after she learns Sharon has told her husband-to-be that her mother is dead. Sharon's livid when she discovers a drunken Val at the hotel and throws her out in front of the paparazzi after revealing the truth of their argument. Elsewhere, Andy moves back into Butler's Farm with Jo in tow. Katie flips out and the three of them end up arguing before Katie leaves in disgust.

Billy comforts Victoria after finding her having a panic attack and it is clear she is still suffering the after-effects of the accident. After learning from Kelly that Jack had something to do with it as well, Billy confronts him and Jack tells him that he wouldn’t be sorry to see Billy get hurt. Fuming, Billy threatens him, and tries to broker a deal with Jack. He tells him that as long as Jack leaves him alone he won’t tell Victoria the truth about the accident. Elsewhere, a hung-over Val wakes to find her drunken exploits splashed all over the front page of the Hotten Courier. Diane and Paul are furious to discover the truth about Val. Meanwhile, Viv asks Emily to help her out with the twins but Emily is reluctant after what happened with Sarah. Bob returns home with an idea of applying for a sales job at old-haunt Naughty Nylons to raise the money.

The police search the Kings’ landfill site and uncover the murder weapon. It is clear that Barraclough suspects one of the Kings murdered Tom and she reports her findings to Vaughan and states her intention to hold a press conference. Meanwhile, Andy informs Daz about Billy’s attack on Jack and warns him to stay away from their dad. Andy repels Billy and denounces him as nothing more than a murderer. Hurt, Billy announces his intentions to leave the village, but after he and Daz reconnect, he decides to stay.

The King brothers decide to go ahead with the funeral preparations without Rosemary, who is still away. Rosemary however has made her own plans and has meanwhile moved the body to another undertakers, without the brothers' knowledge. It is revealed that Belle scored 98% on her entrance exam and is offered a place at the private school.

Bob cancels his job interview with Naughty Nylons and Viv is secretly delighted. However, the Hopes receive a big surprise when Bob's brother Eddie shows up revealing that he is the sales manager for Naughty Nylons. An impressed Bob accepts a job with him. Rosemary meets with Ashley to reorganise the funeral plans. The King brothers continue to argue with her over every detail, but she is quick to point out that they in fact were originally trying to bury Tom without her. Meanwhile, as Paul and Diane continue to ignore Val over her treatment of Sharon, she spends a lonely birthday as she stews in her own misery. Eric appeals to them for leniency.

Rosemary is left to grieve alone at the funeral as the boys exclude her. As Barraclough and Dasari observe the mourners' reactions with interest, all other attention is soon switched to a mystery mourner. Revealed to be Carrie Nicholls the nurse who looked after a dying Mary King, Tom's late wife and mother to the boys. Viv meanwhile is still smarting at Bob's decision to accept the job at Naughty Nylons. However he's more concerned with Tom's funeral and sees it as an opportunity to draw a line under Dawn's death. However Viv is further incensed to discover that Bob will be leaving with Eddie for a two-week training course and is in no mood for fond farewells. Elsewhere, Tom's many enemies brood on the day their nemesis is sent six feet under. Terry, Zak, Jack, Len, Jamie, Shadrach and Bob gather in The Woolpack to drink a morbid toast to his death. Meanwhile, Barraclough and Dasari keep a watchful eye on the group.

Matthew, Jimmy, Carl and Rosemary gather for Tom's will reading. The group are shocked when Carrie Nicholls joins them claiming that she's been named in the will. As Home Farm and the company are divided between those gathered, everyone is shocked when a Scarlett Nicholls is named as a beneficiary. They are further shocked when Scarlet is revealed to be Carrie's daughter by Tom.

Gossip about Tom's secret daughter soon spreads throughout the village. Matthew is determined to invalidate the inheritance but the brothers squabble over how to handle Carrie. Unbeknownst to Jimmy and Carl, Matthew finds Carrie and offers to buy Scarlett's share for cash, on the understanding that Carrie disappears for good. Debbie finally gets a real client and sends Shadrach out to pick up the fare. Struggling with the controls, he quickly becomes lost. Fumbling with the switches he loses control of the cab, crashing into a farm gate. Terry mocks Rodney after finding the destroyed businessman cleaning windows. However Rodney is full of optimism for his new venture and ignores all taunts.

Carrie visits Matthew at Home Farm and Rosemary uses the opportunity to show her round and probe her about her relationship with Tom. Carrie admits that she's had no contact with Tom over the years apart from a monthly cheque for Scarlett. When Rosemary hears of Matthew's secret proposal, she urges her to fight her corner. Meanwhile, Eric is delighted to be invited on a council excursion to be held in Spain. H

Scheming David spots a chance to manipulate events to his advantage when Val and Delilah hit the town on a night out. After contriving to get tipsy Val alone in the bar, he confronts her about why she's been so cold with him recently. Inebriated, Val doesn't reveal her suspicions about him but also doesn't notice when he takes a debit card and £2,000 cash out of her handbag that was due to go to the bank!

Much to David's disappointment, Eric is appeased by Val's offer to pay back the £2K. However, relentless in his desire for revenge, David lies to Del telling her that Val made a pass at him in the taxi. Incensed, she confronts a bewildered Val.

Faced with the prospect of losing her business, Katie reluctantly takes up Andy's offer and decides to move out. Meanwhile, Rosemary's on a mission to destroy Perdy's business, and unperturbed by her initial failure to steal their clients, she orders Andy to close the stables after discovering that he's illegally subletting them to Katie. Andy's torn, but Jo is determined to get Katie out of their lives once and for all.

After Andy reveals to a furious Katie that she can no longer let the stables at Butler's Farm, she and Perdy confront Rosemary, who shrewdly offers the use of Home Farm in exchange for a cut of the profits. Perdy's furious at her mother-in-law's attempt to undermine her but Katie is tempted by the offer and they finally agree to the deal.

Matthew is shocked when Perdy reveals that Rosemary's first husband died in a mysterious shooting accident leaving her with a small fortune. Convinced that it's more than a coincidence that both of Rosemary's wealthy husbands died, he urges Perdy to tell the police. Over at Home Farm, Katie and Perdy are wary of Rosemary when she demands to see their books. When Rosemary threatens to pull out of the deal, Katie backs down but Perdy is furious, realising that her interfering has already begun. Meanwhile, Edna's concerned about Tootsie's health and reluctantly lets Billy examine her. However, she gets a shock when he reveals that the dog is about to give birth! Fraught Edna watches in astonishment as Billy delivers the puppies, and Hari informs her that the puppies were conceived when Pearl lost Tootsie.

The detectives arrive to question Rosemary, much to the King brothers' delight. Rosemary admits that she was due to meet Tom just before he died and is rattled when she's asked about her first husband's death. She immediately assumes that Perdy has betrayed her. Elsewhere, Jimmy arrives at Carrie's house and demands answers about her relationship with Tom. When he insists that she stay away from them, Carrie retorts telling him that she refuses to see her daughter denied her inheritance. Tempers rise as they quarrel about the situation and Carrie finally slaps Jimmy. As he gets into his car to leave, he's troubled when he finally sees his sister Scarlett outside the house. Back in the village, Edna blames Pearl for Tootsie's unexpected litter and ignores her in the street. She's still no closer to discovering who the father of the puppies is and is horrified when she realises there's a possibility that the father could be a Dingle dog!

Rosemary warns Perdy against working with Matthew and tells Grayson to control his wife. He manages to extract a confession from Perdy that Matthew made her submit the information about Rosemary's first husband to the police. Later, Matthew gets a shock when Barraclough arrests the brothers instead of Rosemary. Meanwhile, an impromptu business meeting with Eddie stops Bob from seeing the twins.

The King brothers face individual interrogations as the police seek to split the group. Jimmy can’t believe it when Barraclough tells him that new forensic evidence can prove one of the brothers killed Tom. Kelly worries about the false alibi when she too is called for questioning but all concerned are dumbfounded when the brothers are released without charge.

Del and David finally make it to the bedroom, relieved to be getting some alone time. When David leaves to get some food, Del comes across Val’s stolen money and David has some explaining to do. With no other explanation available, David tells her the truth that he wants to destroy Eric. But this isn’t enough for Del and she leaves heartbroken.

Viv feels overexerted as the twins continue to cry. Emily offers to take them for a walk but this causes problems with Bob who fears she has stolen the twins. When Emily returns she is upset by their lack of trust and takes off with Sam in tow. Viv voices her annoyance at Bob's actions so he announces that he's becoming a full-time father for the twins.

Emily enjoys spending more time with Sam and is grateful when he leaves Samson in her care. Sam is forced to defend her when Zak berates his decision but is mortified when he calls her 'Alice' accidentally.

Pearl is torn when she overhears Kelly and Jimmy talking about his false alibi. When Kelly discovers that Pearl knows the truth she warns the cleaner not to go to the police but Pearl is unconvinced. Her mind is made up when Jimmy tries to offer her a 'bonus' to stay quiet. Elsewhere, Len worries for Edna's safety while Billy is lodging with her. However, she takes no notice and decides to arrange a Sunday meal as a chance for Billy and Daz to bond. Len warns Billy not to do anything to hurt Edna, but he doesn't want to know. Edna's meal goes down a storm and Billy is happy to find life is good for the first time in a long time. Meanwhile, Marlon resents Donna for allowing Eli to help with the building work.
