The storm tightens its grip on the village and Marlon and Tricia's hopes and dreams are snatched away as their world comes crashing down around them.

The cleanup operation gets underway, but the aftermath worsens at the hospital when Tricia flatlines and is declared brain dead - but Marlon refuses to accept she has gone.

Louise is discharged from hospital and thrilled when Ashley allows her to stay with him. Meanwhile, Laurel tries to get over her crush before her friendship with Ashley is ruined. Also, Marlon ignores the doctor's opinion, convinced Tricia will come back to him.

Alan and Steph come to terms with the reality that Tricia's gone - something Marlon refuses to accept. Meanwhile, Zoe upsets Jack and Scott which leaves her without a workforce. Also, Louise and Ashley realise their romantic relationship may be coming to an end.

Scott is still furious towards Zoe and teaches her a lesson by taking Jean without Zoe's knowledge. Meanwhile, Marlon keeps up the fight to bring Tricia back, and Andy feels stifled by Jack's presence on the farm.

Zoe finally realises how her decision about Jean has affected Scott and allows him visiting rights. Meanwhile, Marlon realises it's the machines keeping Tricia alive and comes to terms with reality. Also, Terry is discharged from hospital.

Marlon’s faced with making the biggest decision of his life after doctors advise him on Tricia’s condition. Utterly heartbroken, Marlon stares lovingly at his wife, as her fate lies in his hands.

Marlon is distraught following Tricia’s death, just wanting to be left alone. The Dingles pull together to support their grieving family member, but worry about how Marlon is dealing with his loss.

Keen to get his life back on track, Terry arranges a meeting with Zoe to discuss when he can start back at work and is disappointed when the visit ends in frustration. He can’t help but feel put out when he arrives to see Scott has taken over many of his daily duties.

Terry has been kept awake all night with thoughts of Chris. He becomes more and more convinced that there may be some truth in Charity’s plea that Chris set her up. His discussions with Rachel the lawyer leave him none the wiser, but he decides to clear his conscience by talking to the police.

Zoe is careful to ensure that key people in Charity’s trial are kept firmly on her side. Terry feels awkward when Zoe gives him an old watch of Chris’s as a gift.

With Charity and Debbie depressed about the court case, Cain’s determined to help clear Charity's name.

Charity is desperate to rectify the damage caused by Cain the previous day at Home Farm but her pleas fall on deaf ears when Zoe blatantly refuses to listen to her sister-in-law.

Charity tries to console Debbie about worries over the trial but is up front with her daughter, warning her that there is a high chance she will be found guilty of murder.

Marlon is manic ensuring Tricia's send-off to be perfect, from her favourite quiche to the choir singing Take That. Steph, however, can't lose herself in organising and is distraught about the funeral.

All eyes are on Charity as she prepares to meet her fate in court. Several witnesses are called to be questioned on the first day of the trial. Charity and Debbie are on tenterhooks as Cain is called to the stand. Having originally made a statement condemning his cousin, Cain shocks the court by protesting her innocence, backing up Charity's story that Chris killed himself.

Tension is mounting in the court as the second day of the trial unfolds. In the dock, Scott is taken apart by the defence lawyer, much to Zoe’s horror as she was relying on her new lackey to strengthen the case against Charity.

Charity can't disguise her optimism; even Viv's comments about 'breakfast for a condemned woman' pass her by. To explain her buoyant mood to Debbie, she says Zoe may still feel for her.

Charity prepares to take her future into her own hands as she is called to the dock. Aware that this is her last stab at freedom she tries to remain composed. Sticking firmly to her statement, Charity is cross-examined but pleads not guilty once more.

Everyone expects Zoe to be happy, but she isn't. Although the trial went her way, and it's Jean's birthday, she still doesn't have Chris back. An awkward visit from Terry doesn't help.

It's the day the panel meet to discuss Daz's future - will he have to go back to Manchester? Daz is understandably terrified, but Andy is sure he can protect his brother.

Having been caught in the act with Katie and trapped in a burning garage, Robert is on the warpath as far as Daz is concerned and is determined to silence him before he blabs to Andy about the affair.

Andy's 18th starts with him in a foul mood - he still wants the truth about Daz and the fire. Robert reluctantly agrees to come to the farm to talk things through.

Daz can't understand why Andy is standing by Katie rather than believing him. Katie's proving ably manipulative, but still feels she's ruining Daz's life just for the sake of her and Robert

Jack and Diane both feel odd after last night's marriage proposal. Andy isn't interested in talking about it, so Jack has to reluctantly turn to, of all people, Diane's ex-husband Rodney. Rodney confirms that Diane loves Jack, but says the ultimatum may have been a bad move.

Diane and Jack both wake up very happy, though the 5:30am start isn't popular. Marlon and Louise are equally joyous on hearing the news, and break out the champagne for breakfast.

Diane is up early in preparation for her engagement party but her excitement is dampened when she sees the last of the scaffolding being removed from The Woolpack and her thoughts turn to Tricia.

The new face at The Woolpack has caused quite a stir as the locals gossip about Val. Val leads Diane to believe she has been beaten up by an old boyfriend and is clearly in a bit of trouble.

Val comforts Diane as she sheds a tear over Tricia. Thinking her bruised sibling is obviously in trouble, Diane is glad to have Val stay and has got used to the idea of having her younger sister around again.

Louise isn't happy that Val's staying for a few weeks, but Val is livid when told she'll be paying her way in The Woolpack kitchen. Marlon's not looking forward to it either.

Katie gets home to find Andy at home and making tea for her. She's unsettled, both by his unexpected presence and her situation, but manages to pass it off as wedding nerves.

Andy is bracing himself for a humiliating stag night at the hands of his brother, not knowing Robert is livid about being dumped by Katie to stop herself falling further in love.

Andy is worried that Robert's going to ruin the wedding whether he's best man or not. His fears look justified when Robert turns up so late that Ethan nearly cancels the rehearsal.

Sam's worried: he can't face jail again. Debbie says that like Charity, he'll go down for something he didn't do. Zak decides they need a cunning plan to keep Scott in line.

After a turbulent couple of months, Alan takes Shelley aside and thanks her for her support. They agree they have been through a lot with Tricia’s death and the devastation from the storm.

Eric has put new minority business partner Steph up for the night, but once the deal is official he finds her ordering him around and a turf war over desks breaks out.

Eric's infuriated that Steph is taking over his house. He can't get into his own bathroom and when he arrives at work late, Steph tells him off in front of the staff.

Debbie doesn't want to go to school and be bullied again, but Lisa persuades her she needs to make something of herself, and also asks Donna to keep an eye on her.

It is Saint Valentine's Day in the village and Donna is delighted to receive a mystery Valentine's card, hand-delivered by step-dad Bob, and immediately assumes that her secret admirer must be Robert.

It's the night before Katie and Andy’s big day and instead of a night on the tiles Katie opts for a quiet night in and a cosy chat with best friend Donna.

It's the morning after the night before and Katie wakes up with the best man on her wedding day.

At Andy and Katie’s wedding reception best man Robert hits the sauce and turns nasty as he comes to terms with the fact that his brother has married the girl he loves.

Scott is under pressure from Zoe to stop the Dingles disrupting business for the Tate empire, but things go from bad to worse when a Tate truck is run off the road.

Full of remorse after belting her son Aaron, Chas decides to take an impromptu day-off from The Woolpack. When she bumps into Louise in the street, the landlady is less than impressed.

When Laurel calls round at the vicarage, to say goodbye to Ashley, it looks as if he's finally going to ask her to stay when there's an inconvenient knock at the door.

Ashley finally reveals his feelings for Laurel to everyone at her leaving party but when he finds her at the airport he finds it almost impossible to tell her how he feels.

With Eric away his workforce enjoy a pub lunch in The Woolpack and his worst fears soon become reality when Steph threatens to start docking wages if they’re late back from lunch.

Laurel is on cloud nine after sharing a romantic taxi ride and a goodnight kiss with Ashley. Ashley pops round to see her in the morning and they decide to make their first date dinner at Ashley's.

After storming out Dawn doesn’t want to see Terry. Terry is less than happy when he goes round to Bob’s to speak to Dawn and learns that she's been out with Scott.

Marlon is at the graveyard, laying flowers on Tricia's grave. A man also arrives with flowers and the pair strike up a conversation about their late wives.

Things go from bad to even worse for Charity. Not only is she pregnant and doing life for a murder she didn’t commit, she hears some more bad news from her solicitor.

Charity’s baby seems to be responding to treatment and Debbie is delighted she has a brother at last. Her happiness is short-lived as Charity tells her she won’t be keeping the baby.

Zak decides to visit Cain and tell him about the baby's arrival. He is convinced the baby is his grandson and Cain must have his say in its future whatever Charity says. When Zak visits Charity she remains determined to give the baby up and it is only Debbie’s arrival that convinces her to agree to a paternity test on the baby, so they will know once and for all who the baby’s father is.

Carl’s photocopying of Zoe’s bid for the council contract has done the trick as Tom King and his sons celebrate winning the tender. But grabbing the refuse business is just for starters.

When Matthew King, of King & Sons, turns up at Home Farm offering to buy the Tate Trash wagons, Zoe soon realises that this could be a chance to make some money.

With the weight of the world on his shoulders, Marlon’s culinary skills begin to slip and he can’t concentrate at work. Having suffered the wrath of several unhappy punters, Diane suggests he take some time off.

When Robert turns up, Katie quickly makes her excuses and leaves. The very thought of him is driving her to distraction, so she's not happy when Donna wants to talk about him.

Still avoiding Robert, Katie makes her excuses when he offers her and Donna a lift to Hotten. When he turns up later with beers and Donna in tow Katie is not impressed.
