As Matt prepares to leave, Dolly has one last surprise for him. While, Phil's getaway plans put him on a collision course with Sandie.

Nick fears that Phil will reveal his guilty secret to the police, as Kate prepares to confess her own secret to Mark and Rachel.

Joe's plan to get Kate's children used to the idea of living at Emmerdale Farm goes badly wrong - while Seth's idea of getting Jackie and Kathy used to living in Demdyke Row doesn't go down well either.

Annie worries about the missing teenager, but it's her own health that ought to cause her concern, while Amos has his own worries about his missing customers.

Annie finds the tension too much for her, as a full-scale search is launched for Mark. Also, instead of a quiet night in, Jackie and Kathy find themselves invited to a party - their own.

As news of Mark brings one crisis to a head, Henry finds himself heading for another with Annie.

The fighting gets dirty in the pub war between Amos and Ernie, but not as dirty as Jackie's battle with Pete. While, Dolly thinks Matt is resorting to dirty tricks in their row over Sam.

Mark discovers that life at Emmerdale Farm is far from dull when he walks into a row between Joe and Jackie over veal calves - while Amos tries to enlist Dolly and Kathy as secret weapons in the pub war.

A big welcome is planned for Kate and the kids at Emmerdale Farm and it's time to bring on the dancing girls at The Woolpack - whatever Amos might think.

Caroline decides to strike while the iron's cold, the meal's not cooked and the house is a mess - while Jackie seems to be doing nothing to celebrate his and Kathy's first wedding anniversary.

Alan knows Caroline knows something he doesn't. He also doesn't know how to make her tell him what she knows. But her secret could be crucial to Jackie's plans for a bright new future.

Alan decides wining and dining is the way to learn Caroline's secret - but he ends up more in the dark than before, while Sandie's blind date is more of a success than Jackie thinks it ought to be.

Alan's chance of buying Whiteley's Farm could depend on voices from beyond the grave - while Amos is happier with serving spirits than hearing them.

Jackie puts a stop to Alan's plans, but can he persuade Joe, Matt and Henry to put their money where their mouth is.

A night out for Dolly and Sandie leaves Sam holding the baby - and nursing a grudge.

Nick is confident of getting off lightly at court - but he's in for two surprises today when an old friend walks back into his life.

It's the day of the auction of Whiteley's Farm, and all Jackie's hopes rest on Joe. Has he got the nerve to beat Alan to the spoils?

Nick decides it's high time he left home - but Caroline is more worried about the presence of Clare.

Denis sets Alan the task of getting the Sugdens off their farm.

A new man in Sandie's life opens up prospects of an exciting future - but it looks like the woman in Nick's life is harbouring a secret from her past.

A stranger visits Beckindale determined to find out about Sandie. Who is she - and why has she come?

The big race day in Beckindale, all Jackie's money is riding on Seth's dog. The trouble is, Seth hasn't got the dog anymore!

Joe and Kate have one last chance to persuade Donald to make their dreams come true by marrying them in church, while Clare helps Nick fulfill a dream of his own.

Joe and Kate are not the only ones with wedding plans. Both Alan and Nick are dreaming of walking their loved ones down the aisle - but they haven't got round to telling them yet.

Alan discovers that all he has to do to win Caroline's heart is look like Robert Redford or Clint Eastwood - while Joe finds himself face to face with a man who's already won Kate's heart - and lost it.

Kate finds herself under threat on two fronts. One man wants to stop her wedding, while another wants to stop her election. Clare, meanwhile, falls in love - and hopes Nick will approve.

Alan's new image doesn't get him very far with either the voters or Caroline, while Kate tries to reassure Joe that her ex-husband won't stop their wedding.

Surprise visitors for both Annie and Sandie - but while Sandie's visitor turns her life upside down, Annie is determined that her unwelcome guest won't do the same to Emmerdale Farm.

Kate is at the church, with no sign of Joe but ex-husband David watching and waiting - and another unexpected guest finds himself with a key role. Nick, meanwhile, discovers why Clare isn't keen to marry him.

Jack has to explain why's he back in Beckindale without Marian but with another old girlfriend for company, while Sandie is offered the chance of a lifetime to leave the village with boyfriend Tony.

Jack is seeing too much of his old flame, Sarah, for Henry's liking. Meanwhile, Nick decides that if he can't marry Clare, she's got to go.

Jackie's illness isn't flu - but the diagnosis could mean tragedy. Meanwhile, Alan is reminded how dangerous it can be to make Jack angry.

Jackie and Kathy's dreams are shattered, while for Amos a whole new universe seems to be opening up - until Eric spies the chance of easy money.

Joe and Kate return from honeymoon and walk into a spectacular argument, while Jack and Jackie both make spur-of-the-moment decisions about their futures.

Amos sets out on a spot of stargazing, while Bill has other heavenly bodies in his sights. Amos decides that two would be company in Caroline's cottage, but with Archie around, three's definitely a crowd.

This could be Alan's big moment - getting rid of Archie and beating Kate in the council election but Caroline makes sure that any success he has will taste far from sweet.

Alan has to find somewhere new to live. Matt's found Dolly somewhere, but she's not happy about it and while Mark wants to bring a stray to Emmerdale Farm, Kate worries that Rachel is using the farm as more of a hotel than a home.

Sandie sets off for a new life, while Kathy worries that the new life Jackie has in mind might not be such a good idea.

Alan stands up to Denis for the first - and the last time - and it looks like ruining Kathy's plan to get Jackie back into farming, as well as Alan's own prospects of wooing Caroline.

Kathy has a surprise for Jackie, but Jackie has one for her too. Caroline and Alan, meanwhile, are both convinced their friendship is over...but, oh, how wrong can you be?

Changing times force Donald to lock the church at night, but ends up on the wrong side of the door!

A night of passion should have brought Alan and Caroline together, but it seems to be driving them further and further apart.

Eric takes a keen interest in Dolly and it looks like there's more on his mind than friendly advice.

Denis decides that the Sugdens must learn they're playing with fire by turning down his last bid to get them out. Alan, meanwhile, thinks he's being subtle about his plans for a game farm, but he can't fool Eric - or Seth.

Joe decides that expanding the farm is the best answer they could give to Denis's dirty tricks and Alan discovers that Seth is as wily a businessman as he is a gamekeeper.

Kate's journey home from market with Joe's new bull turns into a nightmare, while Jackie and Kathy decide that Archie could do with a nanny - but not the kind Archie has in mind.

Joe and Alan are both looking for Denis, but while Alan wants a favour, Joe seems to want Denis's blood. Meanwhile, the Bishop's words of sympathy for Donald hide a disturbing message for the vicar.

Dolly is disturbed by Ted's plans for the future, while Kathy's plan backfires when she asks Lynn to help her prepare for her job interview.

Annie worries what Denis will do to the farm. Lynn offers to pay for Kathy's hair treatment as an apology for messing her hair up. Denis uses Henry to try to persuade the Sugdens to give up Emmerdale. Henry tells him to go away. Denis is taken away in an ambulance.

The death of Denis raises awkward questions for Joe, but around Beckindale life goes on, with a surprise for Caroline - and an awful shock for Dolly.

Dolly tries to talk her way out of trouble, while Archie and Nick find the language barrier no problem in their pursuit of l'amour.

Dolly promises Ted she'll keep his secret in return for freedom - but will Dolly's promise be enough. Seth discovers that being a company director is hard work.

Dolly won't tell anyone what happened - but when Ted tries to contact her, the pressure mounts. Meanwhile, Rachel is growing up - a bit too fast for her mum's liking.

Dolly is upset by Matt's attitude to her ordeal, while Caroline tells Alan that as she wants to see less of him, he'll have to move in with her!

Two's company, three's a crowd, they say. Henry's would certainly agree and so would Nick, who decides to take drastic action when he discovers that Alan is planning to move back in with his mother.

Henry ponders his partnership with Amos.

Dolly is under suspicion from all sides - including Matt.

Amos is determined to be involved in Henry's retirement plans, while Henry is equally determined he won't be. Alan's hunger pains force him to do a desperate deal with Seth for a diet-busting meal.

Two surprises for the vicar today - including a full house! Henry is off to Italy to find out the truth while at the farm, Joe and Jack start to bicker.

Amos is looking to the pleasure of his own company - but a visit to his cellar reveals a plague of unwelcome guests!

It's decision time for Jack - Italy or England? Marian or Sarah?

A dream comes true for Seth, and Henry wonders what is keeping Marian in Italy while Jack checks up on Sarah.

Rachel's eighteenth birthday party marks the end of her childhood in more ways than one, while Amos catches a different sort of rat.

While Annie is pleased to see an unexpected guest; Amos fears that Beckindale's attracting visits of a rather more alien kind!

As Kathy braces herself for the inquest into Jackie's death; Joe is alarmed to find Mark out with a gun.

Henry is miffed to discover that Annie is dancing the night away, with another man, while the rest of the village decide it's time to take the law - and Home Farm - into their own hands!

Alan is caught with his trousers down, while Amos's strange investigations take him into the unknown!

Amos, Henry and Annie anxiously wait for news of Jack and Marian. Caroline packs to return to Scarborough with Alice. Rachel bumps into Pete as she leaves for school. He offers her a lift to school but she refuses. David is worried to find out that Rachel may be involved with somebody from Kate. Jack arrives at Emmerdale and tells Henry that Marian won't be returning. He explains that he gave Marian an ultimatum, having borrowed money from his landlord and booked tickets for the day before and told her that if she didn't turn up he was returning home without her.
