I Dream of Jeannie

**** Classic escape entertainment.****

For an escape to classic light hearted entertainment, I Dream of Jeannie, is the way to go. Great comedy series for the whole family.
Good way to end... Finally they get married. They picked a good way to end this show on a high not instead of dragging out another season

Mike & Molly

It is a great shame, that this series has been canceled, where even its final chapter was admirable.
Even his actors will end up missing her as is the case of:

"I was very surprised and sad when CBS was canceled #MikeAndMolly," McCarthy, the star of the series, tweeted. “I would have recorded this show for 50 more years. I'm going to miss my second family. ”

Thanks Melissa and Bill for working on this series,
I'm also obese fat and part of the experiences in the series are part of my life at the same time.

Psych

**Love, love LOVE Psych**

Fun, quirky series with a wide variety of characters that provide some interesting plots for super sleuthing. Well acted. Not the average detective series. Scripted for Santa Barbara, California but filmed in Canada. (Both beautiful places). Each person in my family has their favorite episode(s). Love the theme song. Some plots were more serious than others. Psych ran for eight seasons. The final episode was exceptionally well done.

My Score 8/10.

Ally McBeal

*Ally McBeal nostalgia!*

"Ally McBeal" is very interesting and surprising TV-series. The unique and untypical sense of humor is, in my opinion, the greatest advantage of "Ally". The Authors of the series successfully attempted to present everyone's everyday problems in the specific form, often making use of absurd and grotesque.

There are also a lot of fabulous actors in these series, who created some unforgettable and one-of-a-kind characters (especially Peter MacNicol as John Cage).

Ally McBeal series is a great reminder of when tv shows were innovative and hysterical. The show viewers looked forward to seeing for good clean laughter and sometimes tears. If you want real entertainment that's fresh and binge worthy then, revisit this fantastic tv show from the late 1990's.

Rizzoli & Isles

After watching the first episode of Rizzoli & Isles I was more than satisfied .. I've wanted to see Sasha Alexander and Angie Harmon back on my t.v screen ever since Sasha left N.C.I.S and Women's Murder Club got canceled. Sasha is supposed to act the way she acts in the t.v show it is in no way bad acting she's supposed to be a bid like Brennan from Bones who's a bit detached from her emotions to say the least. People are comparing Rizzoli & Isles to Bones and it's because they have a lot in common though Rizzoli & Isles had a much better first episode than Bones did and just because this show isn't one of HBO's productions and doesn't have people fornicating on every corner doesn't make it bad. It's just something you can watch with your kids or maybe even brother or sister without feeling awkward because of what's happening on the screen and actually enjoying a show. I definitely recommend this.

The Sopranos

Not much to say here besides that this is a great show with multiple directors and writers contributing. The show ending is just unfathomable and is still shocking to me years and years later. It still is one of the shows first brought up when worst endings are discussed in a group. Everyone is disappointed and almost anyone could have written a better one.

in short ... After 6 seasons a 10-second finish in black I don't know what to say.
I would have put a 9 on it, but that's why I finally evaluated it.

My score 8/10.

Lethal Weapon

Reminds me of the best of the 1980s.*

This series really surprised me. It has been a long time since I looked forward to watching a show as much as this one every week. It reminds me of many good 80s cop or detective shows. No one has been able to equal the buddy cop or detective show formula of the 80s until now. Very well done indeed.
Last episode of Season 3 is a good finale.

My score 8/10.

Velvet

*Excellent series.*

+The series is well conceived. The acting is convincing and executed properly.

+The cast selection is impeccable.

+The story is easy to identify with and moves along at a nice pace.

+Its very easy to identify with these characters who portray people we have known throughout our lives.

+We love the background music which could be of that era in America. (Amazing songs)

+Even though its Spanish speaking and takes place in Spain the mixture of our music is a perfect blend.

+It fits perfectly because all those emotions common to all people are evoked.

My Score 8/10.

The Big C

*Didn't expect this show to be so life changing!!*

I just finished watching the entire series and have to say I was pulled in from the start and found the show to be incredibly delightful in so many different ways. One minute you're laughing your ass off and the next moment you're fighting back the tears. The character development is phenomenal and the show is so well written as it portrays all sides of life: funny, sad, messy, awkward, raunchy and heart wrenching. Laura Linney's character and her brother were the anchors of the show, they both brilliantly acted their parts and had a strong unbreakable bond you don't fully recognize until the end of the series. It melts your heart. I loved the mix of characters over the course of the series, every character had relevance and depth. I honestly don't have a single bad thing to say about the show. Brilliant and this is an underlooked gem.

I highly recommend this show!:heart::heart:

My Score 9/10.

I absolutely love the show and maybe they can bring it back under another name…since “Ryan Hardy” is still alive. Was very sad when I heard this show was cancelled.

Pushing Daisies

A Beautiful show, but cancelled too soon

The overall story is EXCELLENT. The unique idea of life and death and how one touch from Ned can bring someone back to life for only one minute or someone else dies, is wonderful! The fact that if he touches you again then you are DEAD FOREVER is frustrating for Ned and Chuck. This keeps their childlike romance alive in a sweeping romantic whirlwind. The OUTSTANDING storyboard/comics editing and STORYTELLING NARRATION gives this show a UNIQUE SENSE of FUN and PLAYFULNESS. Krysten Chenoweth steals the show.

Also, the series received critical acclaim and won numerous awards. The series received 17 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, with seven wins, including Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for Barry Sonnenfeld and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Kristin Chenoweth.

My Score: 8/10.

Detective series starring a man with an extraordinary sense of smell who can "sniff" out criminals. It is an interesting premise. Extraordinary cerebral detective show combines the wit, style and humor of Dr. House and Sherlock Holmes. This is not your bloody, car chasing, shoot 'em up sexcapade. It's a high quality production in HD.
Very good acting. Easy to follow. Really liked this show. Looking forward to the next season.

*Update 01/July/2019*
Finishing watching the third season… I can say that is a very uniquely, creatively written series. Having taught forensic science for a number of years, I find the premise of this series fascinating, if a bit unbelievable. Nevertheless, it is totally enjoyable, never predictable. The characters are interesting to say the least and certainly contribute to the fact that this is not your usual whodunit. The actors are extremely talented, especially the lead and his ex-wife. She puts the "b" in that unladylike word. The story lines are terrific.

This show never gets gory or violent and still stays entertaining. Hoping for a Season 4 as it's clearly been an international success.

My Score: 8/10.

CSI: Cyber

I really like Patricia Arquette, however, I did think the first episode was pretty rough (writing and all around acting) but I have been watching every episode thereafter. But I feel they're getting better and better. I look fwd to each new episode as the 'family' grows. As not a very tech savvy kind of person, I do like learning about what's possibly out there. It's quite scary, the cyber world, & how everyday things we use, pass by, etc... can be our truest enemy. My mom won't watch the show because it freaks her out. But I hope the show sticks around awhile.
Ted Danson did offer some more character to the show but am excited to see where they go from here.
I really liked as I finish this series, which unfortunately was canceled due to low ratings.

Like it!!! Really like watching American Crime. Like how cast has different role & look in each season.
i still don't get the rating, it is one of the best series running. no cheap tricks, no "unexpected but seen a million times" turns and twists. each episode is just another brick in the wall for all the characters. and they are not black or white, they are grey. like everyone in real life. when they move to a darker or lighter shade of grey it is just life as it is. highly recommendable!!!

Carol's Second Act

*cute, good clean family fun*

We like this one. Good, clean family fun. She is the old lady on the new doctor crew, making rounds and using that "old people" knowledge to help her fellow doctors out. The show's first season still needs to work on storyline and character development.

*Update... In May 2020, the series was canceled after one season. Too bad.

The Fall

One of the best shows I’ve ever watched!
Paul Spector proves that Dornan can be a respected actor and conquer the sceptics after the trashy 50 shades… . Gillian Anderson is amazing as usual. A true diva!
We need good written plots and characters, and #The Fall is a diamond!

*Easy watch*

People keep saying the characters aren't likable...but neither are a lot of people in real life. When you think about it, we all know a cheater or someone who refuses to grow up. It's easy to watch show, with a few giggles and some tears. I got through it quickly so I must have thought it was decent enough to entertain me for a few hours. I'm even looking forward to another season. Not the best show but I didn't expect it to be.

Chicago Justice

*Sorry, but...*

I'm so sorry this show only ran for one season then was not renewed. It's interesting that the "Chicago" series was created and intertwines and it gets canceled in 2017.

I like the actors, the procedural component, the direction, and the courtroom scenes. It makes perfect sense to tie this show together with Chicago P.D. I suppose it was canceled due to low viewership.

There are two things that could be changed to make this show better...

1) There is no character development beyond the job. My wife and I always look for the romance behind the scenes. We don't want it to be overwhelming or even more than perhaps 5-10% of the content, but we don't want it to be zero.
2) The storylines are good but they fall apart, almost always. The cases are won in court with inadequate evidence and incomplete development. This, of course, is the crux of the show but it fails.

My score 6/10.

*This is a fun show!*

I thoroughly enjoyed this show.

I saw a few episodes and I fell in love with all the characters. My best friends are gay couples and, in spite of the put downs, they do love each other. Well written, charmingly acted - it is a great show!

I have always loved Derek Jacobi and Ian McKellan. I am a great fan of their work.

They work well together and the Frances De La Tour character is a laugh riot.

Enjoyable and sweet!!

Let me start off saying that I know next to nothing about the US military so Im purely looking at this from an enjoyment factor. i started this show having no idea really what it was about (or even that it was a comedy) but I found it really fun. it feels like it could verge on being stupid but I haven't found that yet. I love the relationship between the brothers, it's both sweet and cheeky and there's a lot of love there. I also like how they do cover real issues such as how soldiers can feel returning from a war zone. This issue was treated with respect which I approved of. Overall I love it and will definitely keep watching.

Crisis

This show was pretty good, but I think about halfway through the show started to go in a direction that lost some of it's viewers. In the beginning it was awesome because the guy was always one step ahead and knew what they were planning. Then after awhile it kind of tapered off so I think that's when the show started to go downhill. Crisis takes kids in jeopardy, class conflict and adolescent (and national) insecurity and stirs them into a surprisingly effective thriller.

Back in the Game

The family conflicts are facile and easily resolved on Back in the Game. Little League isn't the most common of sitcom subjects, but Back In The Game still mines from a bunch of established tropes.

Friends With Benefits

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

just finished all 13 episodes and feel its so hilarious ~ personally, I think it is way better than the movie one~ their life is so easy going~ this is what I need in a real world~ few moments to get away from the stress reality ha~ I have to say~ it just makes my dream comes true ~ If I can be as rich as Aaron, as easy going as Ben or Fitz or have those fantastic friends~ that will be awesome, tho they cant really exist in this world I think...

however, the show is for sure a little bit similar to "how I met your mother" but~ the movie "friends with benefits" and "No Strings Attached" are even more alike...no mention these two films are not so funny... I like Riley so much, she is pretty tho I cant endure her sexual attitude as a girlfriend~

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Season 2

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Season 2 Review

Suffice to say, if you enjoyed Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's unhinged characters, mile-a-minute jokes and beaming optimism in Season 1, then you'll feel right at home with this latest offering. While a few dud storylines and longer episode runtimes drag Season 2 down a bit, it has just as many laughs as last time and even more musical numbers. And as always the cast here is delightful, especially Kemper and Burgess.
