I enjoyed it until the love triangle aspect came in the picture... We all know what's gonna happen... Nothing.
It's a cute anime but is pretty predictable due all the characters being super predictable.
The goodie goodie innocent guy being popular is so overdone. In reality a person with that personality doesn't exist.
If I'd watch this first in 2000 I'd give it a 8/10.
But it just falls a bit short in keeping my attention. Nonetheless it has my respect for doing it's own thing.
Definitely worth a watch and I can see why others would rate it higher.
Seen clips...
No respect for the source material. I can't imagine any fan of the game scoring this above 5. (and a non fan above 7)
It's a rather unique anime. There's not much to say. Try 2 or 3 episodes... If it doesn't connect drop it as it's just morz of the same over time.
I'd call this anime a perfect 7/10. You'll rarely be surprised but it delivers on everything you'd expect.
It's interesting that an anime with such a degenerate name manages to be one of the better fantasy anime.
The deaths are brutal. The tits are large, the fan service is plenty... But it never gets in the way of the story. The harem aspect never overlaps in serious moments, it's always more of a tension breaker before or after an adventure.
I can't phatom how anyone can rate this higher than 6.
The opening and ending is pretty good.
This anime is so forgettable I literally didn't recall a single character aside of Mapple at the start of S2.
That said... If your looking for some cute casual oppai loli content in a fantasy setting. It's alright.
Myself I'm looking for something casual and fantasy. Not a fan of oppai fan service but it is what it is.
They not just exceeded expectations (I had none tbh) but they crushed it.
The vibe, the music, the visuals, the costume/set/weapon art is all exactly what you'd expect.
You don't need a full on review... Just watch it.
The entire show isn't a 10...but the overall package deserves as much. It's great and sad to see more lore accuracy in a jap parody series than in the last 3 movies.
I can only imagine anime haters rating thos lower than 6. (which is fine)
I remember liking it as a child. Don't hold this rating as an endorsement for adults.
A worse version of bleach with 100% the same formula and characters types.
That said, it's still enjoyable. If you like bleach... And want more... Just watch this.
A not bad but overrated anime. The music and art carried the plot... Or rather plotholes.
Worth a watch for the music and visuals alone.
A beautiful anime... Just whatever you do...
DO NOT READ THE MANGA.
It will ruin the anime... Trust me.
Funny enough this movie is has a better plot and pacing then most Fantasy Movies.
It's become my comfort movie... Mostly because the CG and effects are so bad it's hilarious.
I recommend anyone to watch this in HDR or Dolby Vision. The experience is simply not the same when I watched it in SDR when it first released.
Review:
- Starts strong... Grows weaker every passing minute
- The pacing becomes a larger mess the longer it goes on... Blending episodes together while cutting away others
- Aang didn't bend a single droplet of water in the season around Waterbending
- The acting all around is a 7...but often goes to a 4/10 in dramatic scenes where acting actually becomes hard
- They treated spirits here as they did in Korra... Good and evil. In the legend of Aang spirits weren't good or evil... They just were.
- The cgi was bad... But acceptable for a show (i suppose)
- Some lines were so badly written... "you found a master didn't you"... While they didn't have a single training session with a master... Or anyone for that matter.
All in all. It wasn't as bad as we all thought... But that's about it... Can't really good it good either... If I'm generous I could call it above mediocre.
I can't help but feel "we didn't really need this mess, why was it madz..."
Too slow for my taste.
I'll rate this show the same rating I ratenevery episode the cross over lead actress has been in... 1 to 3.
Who greenlit this aweful character..
Definitely a must watch for any thriller fan.
Make sure to bell rested as it does tackle both serious psychological on top of complex thought theories.
