Well... aside from the question if this was possible and there for feasible... I was puzzled by the reactions of all the surrounding characters. Seriously, a woman calls, tells you how to do your job and just her telling you, no there are no cameras makes you trust her?? What kind of cop is that / does that? Yeah, right, then you go and try to take her in and while she seems to turn everyone unconscious, you go: well, it's a hot chick and she does interesting stuff, why not accompany her? Oh, well, yes, please, drive my car, and I have no reason to protest any further while you wreck about two dozen cars and injure who knows how many people in the process.
And the professor? Suuure, while you initially suspect Lucy's call to be a prank, just her wiggling some technical devices turns you into a believer?
Though I don't really see the religious component of which some reviewers were speaking. But the philosophical potential suffers greatly under those poorly developed supporting characters... and being force feed all those bits and pieces ... I mean, all was well, as long as Lucy shut up - her explaining was just too much, while the end felt more as if it was just about visual effects.
PS: the trakt summary is just hilarious. So minimalistic, ignoring the main points and yet right on the spot.
This season made me kinda fall in love with Bobby. His story is so heartbreaking and inspiring. What he brings to every one this season is more than just design. Perspective, understanding, heartfelt advice.
All five are amazing, but Bobby is my hero :purple_heart:
Well, I don't know why everyone is hating this movie so much. In my opinion, this is quite a good sequel, especially since it accounts for the 20 years inbetween the first and the second movie. And they managed to bring a lot of the original cast back.
for a second I thought: facehuggers coming to your Star Wars universe .....
I recommend not to eat while watching :sweat_smile:
oh, I had no idea that Cho and Summer's relationship would touch me like this.
I have a special spot in my heart for Cho. He doesn't show much from his private life, his emotions, but when he does, he really is intense....
Did anyone else think Lucifer was asking Kain to have sex at the end? XD
Plus, badass Lucifer singlehandedly walking into that Korean gang-den was delicious. I like my protagonists to be badasses ;-*
Ok. I Do not agree with other comments that the backstory is lame or unfeasable or what not. But considering that Doc is a manipulative bastard coercing baby into his role as criminal, how likely do you think is the scenario of him becoming an philantropist laying his life on the line just after this brat ruined his good running enterprise? And the only one who had tried to connect with Baby turns out the vengefull wacko who is out to kill him? all toghether, I have more problems with the actuall plot than with the exposition, background and all.
Considering the rating this movie was surprisingly good o.O I'd even go so far as to say it was really good. Sure, some may complain about the language, but quite frankly, I'd say it's appropriate ... Some do resort to strong language and violence when otherwise unable to express themselves. And Hancock has obviously some issues, starting with his amnesia and him being overwhelmingly different than anybody else, his drive to help people but his lack of self restrain which causes numerous problems and makes him very unpopular to the point of being hated by everyone - what would you do if you'd tried to be nice and everyone is shouting and cursing at you??? His innate goodness is the reason he still tries to help people, he could just give up and let things happen, but he doesn't. And Ray... well if I ever meet someone like him, I'd count myself lucky.
they used to be law enforcement... but they act like a bunch of psychos :scream:
Barney was the highlight of the movie. How he treated our girl decently even though he knew she worked a disreputable job.
And his delight every time he sees her thrive
What a powerful episode. So touching! Made me cry. I'd like there were more people like Noah :purple_heart:
I just came to like Sweets. I thought he'd get together with the redhead, Jessica? And all of a sudden Daisy turns up pregnant o.O nope...
A nobody who wants to be somebody so bad, he grabs any occasion to pretend he is something he is not - and successfully! In Dickie's shoes, I don't know, if I had befriended Tom so easily, he seemed awkward, strange, and agenda driven. Anyway as the plot progresses it becomes more and more disturbing up till the very last scene. All together some plot twists came as a surprise, e.g. Dickie's father completely trusting Tom after Dickie's disappearance, and the afore mentioned disturbing end. Things were going so well and then the sociopath awakens...
I can't help but think, that Troi is a changeling, like a plan B or maybe even the actual Plan A all along to bring Jack to open that damn red door .
WTF? Just because a woman does online dating, searching for companionship that doesn't make her a slut. Sure I be pissed if someone had broken my trust like that and publicly embarrassed me like that. But that only makes the idiots who did the deed make look more shady
Well, I recently watched the Next Generation episode where Riker was temporarily joined with a Trill. of Course, that was the first mention ever of that race and look nothing like the Trill we know from DS9. However, there was human joined with a Trill. not quite successful, meaning permanent, but it is not unheard of that a non Trill ever became a host.
What was that about the computer?! The interface changing, the voice changing, and then it gave advice?! I mean, Saru asked for it, but that was bit of a leap.
And given the short episode "Calypso", I am not quite sure, if Saru isn't a bit naive in his interpretation that the sphere DATA is protecting / helping them. It hasn't shown any signs of consciousness yet, just subroutines to protect it's integrity
Space Cowboy :joy::joy::joy: small bow to firefly :purple_heart:
Does Joel get a bonus for every time he has a scene with his shirt off? XD
That sounded suspiciously like Rose's theme.... this woman wordlessly singing (not quite humming).... that was kind of irritating.
And when that glas chick promised he could talk to her one last time, I sort of expected River Song instead of Bill.
But I applaude how they have handled the integration of the first Doctor. His sexist atitude and how embarassed 12th was, just hilarious.
I was confused, because Netflix broke this episode into two parts. This played marry hell with my trakt tracking...
We knew about Tom. Hell, who would be this cool and collected after such an attack... just sayin' ...
well, I'm only a few minutes in and I (as a German native speaker) am pleasantly surprised that the Nazis are actually speaking quite well German.
Movie Nazis usually speak with an horribly broken accent. This much effort to detail grants at least an open mind on my part.
Okay, that psycho of a father put the girl in his head but where did Ian get his fighting skills from, all of a sudden?? Also, who have thought, that Adriana herself would have been victim to a loop? That ending is a open... Seems that they are angling for a sequel.
Fells more like an extended pilot for a show.
As a stand alone film it feels to open, not enough closure...
They have a murder victim on the 8th floor, and on the 3rd floor they are already winded? God forbid they have to chase a perp on foot :see_no_evil:
First of all people have teased the Borgs have been involved. But it still feels like season 2 is been retconned. Hope they pull it off to tidy that up in the last episode.
Second, they could've handled the whole affair better, the choice of villains feels a bit hap hazardly in this episode's light.
And Jack just seems totally unlucky. Makeing the wrong choice at every turn.
Edit:
And Thirdly, I can't forgive them for killing off Shaw. The internet was teasing me with possible spin offs.
And again, two cast members that have worked together in the past get a witty dialogue pertaining to said past engagement  "Lost" vibes anyone?
Max recognizing the Others customs officer. That ist a serious innuendo to their tenure together at the series "Heroes". And Ando Bad a guest appearance a while back
Seriously clever to bring back a convict from the original series. Not only that, but they brought back the original actor.
"This transponder chip is completely untraceable. It transmits your location to a satellite, which can be read only by this computer. We can then track you within 3 feet, anywhere."
Doesn't anyone else think this is maybe a bit misleadingly phrased? A tracking device that is untraceable? :person_facepalming_tone2:♀
I liked how this movie tied into the Bourne universe. How the events in Bourne ultimatum had repercussions, how there were hearings.... And then it just stopped. What is the outcome of the hearings? Byers doesn't seem to be the type to let something slide, so were they trying to set up a new series of movies?
That's the part of the movie, that didn't deliver for me. Otherwise I considered it pretty solid. I can't say it was lacking in action scenes. And I wouldn't say it was dialogue heavy. What are people expecting these days?!
