Anybody who spends 8 hours watching something they don't enjoy needs a new hobby
Somehow I love this show and yet this was the longest 24 minutes of my life
Scorpia deserved an apology from Catra and I'll die on that hill.
If I were a culture that scorned everyone born under a certain star sign, and invested a lot of time and money into throwing them into camps, I'd make sure everyone would go out of their way to not procreate nine (or however many) months before that star sign period.
Maybe it's just me.
A lot of the humor on its own just -misses-, but the situation is ridiculous and makes me want to watch more.
God help me I think I've watched the last mirror universe episode in DS9. I MADE IT.
The blood was the best part.
I loved this bonkers two-parter.
+1 star for Werner Herzog
Those wolves were pretty aggressive with no Aurora that night.
They weren't even wearing helmets in that cave. Humans figured that out over a hundred years earlier. :person_facepalming:
I feel like all the R&M superfans will refuse to ever try therapy thanks to this episode - and sadly a lot of them could probably use it.
Please, Archer, stop letting strangers come onto your ship and wander around freely. I get that you want to make friends but ffs learn from your mistakes.
Ensign Sato meets Space Crab Dracula and falls in love while experiencing the last moments of 'A Day in the Life'.
And yet this episode is much, much better than the last few.
Rated this episode higher because they didn't leave Dr. Mid-Nite in the Shadowlands. Also there's no way the Shade is dead. He never dies. He just goes off and sulks.
Damn, I'm glad they replaced original Niles with new and improved Niles. That first guy was a dud.
Well, ep 1, waiting for the Apex to die in a fire, check back in mid-season.
Butcher's backstory falls flat for me. This show isn't art and I am not looking for depth.
What the hell did I just watch
If not for the shittiness of the world, this would be a golden age.
Seeing the pool of blood, then seeing Colin slip in the pool of blood, that was the loudest laugh I've had in ages. What the hell am I supposed to do now??
The writing in the first two seasons, the craft of the story, it was all so good. Did they really decide to change it to keep the audience in the loop? The exposition was just so dumb at times in this episode. I am still interested to see where things go, but the creators need to find some kind of happy medium if they want to save the show.
Something about the storytelling in this season stopped working for me in this episode. Season 3 is an entirely different show. When it works for me, it REALLY works (especially as a cyberpunk thriller); when it doesn't work, stuff just seems to -happen- in a clunky fashion. I wish that I could better express what I dislike about it compared to the first two seasons.
Welcome to the Catra Show, guest-starring She-Ra. It's a little silly how easily Catra wins all the time.
I have a hard time rating these higher. I laughed out loud a few times but the over-the-top gore is distasteful and a lot of the ideas aren't particularly original.
The Fox joke was funny. Foxes are totally liars. Not a strong episode, though - more of a 'we're going from A to B' sort of story.
Cicada is bad and Chris Klein is bad. Flashpoint bad.
My biggest gripe about the finale is that we don't get the satisfaction of finding out WHY the Pride did all of this. In some ways I appreciate that the show gives us more background on the Pride, but I also think that the comic was smart in that you know fairly quickly who the Gibborim are and why the Pride set their plan into motion. I'm still looking forward to the second season but I do hope they adjust the pacing a little.
Surprised that people didn't like this as much as I did. My only gripe is that they gave so much time to the guy who thought the Apollo landings were faked.
