More, more, more. I could watch hours of this stuff. It really shows how much respect all those people have for the source material. They see this not just as something that is there to make them money. And that makes all the difference in the world.
Seeing George on set with Grogu put a HUGE smile on my face.
Just give Dave Filoni free reign to write/produce whatever show or movie in the SW universe he wants. Mans a fucking genius.
Hmm, that ending doesn't make much sense. Why would there be a mile-high statue of his daughter and the company named Amaya when she's clearly alive in this version of reality?
Consider my mind blown! Did I understand the movie? Not always. Was I scared by the movie? Not really, though it did get under my skin. Will I remember this film in months to come? Yes, and you can't say that by all the other cookie cutter horror movies out there. Did I like the movie? Yes, quite definitely, not only for the weird ass story, but for the acting, the camera work, and the deliberately slow pace. I understand how this movie has split people down the middle - as I came out of the film, one woman said "well, that was sh**" - and it clearly isn't for everybody, especially those who favour jump scares and gore over something a little (or a lot) more intelligent. This is a film for those who don't want to be patronised, for those who want to debate a film's merits and plotting, and is for those who want their minds to be stretched, rather than pampered to by lazy directors. Recommended.
Believe all the hype! This is not only the best horror movie of the year, but also of the last years!! It's a masterpiece, and I'm so happy that we have something so unique now in the horror genre, in the time of so many reboots and remakes. This one is special. This movie is sophisticated, it's original, it has some of the best acting I've seen and Toni Collette will be for sure nominated at the Oscar for this iconic performance. Also, the directing.. Wow. Absolutely genious! All the takes and close ups.. Perfection. The soundtrack is also amazing. Everything works and we have here a modern masterpiece that will be talked for years and years!!!
It wouldn't be Westworld if you didn't finish the episode without having more questions then when you started.
It's a solid start to the season. Sets in place a few stories. Bernard seems really messed up. I'm wondering if what he did in the two weeks he blacked out will be the mystery? Did he kill Teddy and all those other hosts? He better not of hurt Hale, Tessa Thompson needs more screen time. Maeve's story is the most interesting to me. William is now looking for "The Door" but what could that be? I'm excited to see the other parks, there are at least 6 and one of them has a tiger.
If you're looking for an action and "turn brain off now" film, just don't watch it and spare us the 6-7 hearts review.
I for one, am very tired from 500$m crap like Indi Day and Marvel's poop. So I was very excited to watch this one.
This one is more like Spielberg's Encounters from the Third Kind. It's more about the characters in the film and the amazing journey they go through. It's mostly about the human behavior that will make you think.
While it's not an End of the World aliens movie like Battle: Los Angeles, it still offers great amount of military presence and plenty of stuff that's going on.
So if you actually want to care about an intelligent movie and use your head - go. Otherwise, go watch an X men.
Highly recommended for some audience 10/10.
2-feb-2017 edit: Just came out on Bluray and I saw it again. Definitely keeping my rating.
Watching again at July-2023, excited towards Dune II : Excellent. Excellent film. So called plot-holes listed here are negligible when the overall product is really thoughtful and masterfully crafted.
My head is literally in pain from this film...I'm left feeling empty. If you asked me what I just witnessed in these past 2 hours, I honestly couldn't describe what took place. The entire thing felt like a bunch of messy jump-cut, foggy action sequences stacked up on top of eachother with NO character substance or plot to hold it together. The writing was terrible and insanely cliche, there was no depth, and absolutley nothing to be taken from watching this. Oh and in addition - the use of that soundtrack - terrible, sad such a good song like Heathens is even a part of the franchise. Wish they had spent more money building the storyline and chracters (WHO HAD PROMISE WITH THE RIGHT WRITING) than promoting the shell it became...
Easily one of my favorite episodes.
