After

There are few things I regret as much as I do watching this movie.

Pride & Prejudice

Keira Knightley's a complete delight onscreen, and the soundtrack, cinematography and screenplay work like a charm. A spectacular experience.

Forgotten

One of the best Korean movies I've watched so far- the mystery, thrill, suspense and the twists, oh my god, the twists! Watch it for the leads, the story and just...the whole experience.

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha

The most wholesome story with the most wholesome characters. Highly, highly recommend - not just for the main leads who are brilliant (and those dimples!!!), but for all the side characters who all go through some form of healing of their own throughout the course of the story.

Itaewon Class

Not just your average revenge drama, Itaewon Class has a super diverse set of characters and manages to do each. one. of. them. justice while also delivering a properly satisfying ending. Tackles racism, transphobia & corporate greed among other things and idk this is defo my most favorite Park Seo Joon drama yet. FOR REAL. A socially inept character, autistic-coded, who’s the cutest cinnabon ever? I’m in LOVE. Oh, and Kim Da Mi?? Ahh-mazing. Gotta love how the classic villain types still managed to surprise AND we also got the real grey-shaded ones. Everyone reaped what they sowed and this is one drama I 10/10 would recommend.

Before Sunrise

This was beautiful. It's just about these two people, complete strangers, who randomly meet on a train and decide to explore a city and end up exploring themselves, all in one night. Nothing more, nothing less, and that's the beauty of this story.

Bad Genius

Takes the heist thriller genre and does wonders with it! Highly intelligent and tense plot aptly supported by a superb cast- this couldn't possibly have been any more thrilling. Had me on the edge of my seat waaaay too many times. Also loved how family and friendship sentiments were interwoven, ultimately boiling down to a study on morality as well.

Emergency Declaration

Riddled with all the clichés, but all done so well! A chillingly realistic, nail-biting affair.

Miracle in Cell No. 7

So beautiful, moving and pure. Me being adamant about not crying and movies like this coming along and making me bawl my eyes out is the new norm suddenly and W H Y !!!

Women who know what they want and have no qualms going about getting it? Women who don't don't hesitate to speak their mind and stick up for themselves? Women who are headstrong, and unapologetically so? YES, ALL OF THEM. This drama had some of the best characters ever, and with romance that didn't take away from each of their individual stories, this was pretty darn perfect. Right down to the OST. RECOMMENDED!

Aladdin

Didn't expect to love this one so, so much. Perfect, really! Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott just nailed it (can we have them in a proper romcom together soon, please?) and Will Smith as the genie was glorious! LOVEEEEEEEEE.

Touch Your Heart

Never expected to love this one quite so much- the leads were perfect, I honestly couldn't have asked for better casting. The rest of the actors were great as well. So much fun and entertainment, just so cute overall. Doesn't take itself too seriously and that's where it won. Wouldn't have minded a few more episodes tbh, will sure miss this one big time~

Colette

Loved it, but couldn't help but feel Keira Knightley ended up carrying the film solely on her shoulders. Could've been more~~

What's Wrong With Secretary Kim: 1x16 What's Wrong with You, Kim Mi So?

Perfect story. Perfect episode. PERFECT ending. Gonna miss these characters so, so much! </3

Silenced

This movie rendered me silent...speechless. To think that people actually did this, still do this. To think that kids actually went through this, still go through this. Humans are so freaking disgusting and disappointing, and this movie portrayed that so. damn. well. The leads were terrific, especially the child actors, and the movie portrayed everything so well- albeit heartrendingly so. WATCH!

Never Have I Ever: 3x10 ...lived the dream

That ending was NOT it, I need season 4 already!

Chief Kim

This one reminded me of why I started watching kdramas in the first place. Tons of fun, a very engaging storyline and an amazing cast, Chief Kim had a unique brand of humour that was super addictive, and managed to keep things light even when the story dealt with very serious issues like corrupt companies, embezzling and slush funds. Highly recommended!

On Your Wedding Day

The leads were brilliant, as was the story, but that ending, ugh, whyyyy.

Are You Human?

A brilliantly executed story with a wonderful cast- quite unlike any kdrama I've seen so far. Was doubtful about how exactly they'd make things work, but I need not have worried. Perfect. Makes one wonder about how life would be with AI so closely knit with us in society. Intriguing, to say the least.

Fight for My Way: 1x16 This Is My Way

love the way this drama shows how dreams can be born, stay with you, evolve or even change, but it's never too late to achieve them~~

The finale was almost quite traumatizing, but Snowdrop is the most complete kdrama I’ve watched in a WHILE.

The major selling points for me were the stellar cast (apart from Jisoo and Haein who were amazing, Yoo In Na and Kim Hye Yoon had really interesting characters too), the setting (mostly boarding school), the politics and story (the plot twists!).

The OST was top-notch, magical at times, and cinematography was beautiful too.

I'm obsessed.

A kdrama hasn't made me cry in so long...until this episode. I swear I'm throwing hands if we don't get a happy ending!!!

It’s been a tiring year all around and I was feeling particularly low when I watched this movie and...it gives you hope. The journey may be tedious but it is well worth the blood, sweat and tears. Still can't wrap my head around just how perfectly it was executed. With every last Suriya movie we've been getting closer to THE Suriya we haven't seen onscreen in a while, and safe to say Sudha Kongara extracted the best out of him. Suriya is back and how!

PS: The story hardly revolves around the romance angle, but the dynamics between Maara and Bommi were such a TREAT. Here's finally a Kollywood movie that empowers its women without it being forced or nonsensical.

It's Okay to Not Be Okay

What a beautiful journey with the most memorable characters! They wrapped things up beautifully - I laughed, cried and laughed while crying through it all. Been a while since a k-drama satisfied me as much as this one did.

He Is Psychometric

Ended up being more invested in it than I thought I would. The MC's ability was fascinating and the story kept me hooked with all the suspense and what not. Pretty bummed about how things turned out for a pair I had hope for, but overall pretty satisfactory!

Welcome to Waikiki: Season 1

Such good fun- loved everyone and everything about this. A little nonsensical at times, but it only added to the entertainment. Can't wait to see what they do with season 2 but will miss the rest of the cast BIG TIME.

Mahanati

Factual inconsistencies and minor missteps aside, this was...enthralling. Keerthi and Dulquer effortlessly nailed their parts and the whole story was epic, to say the least; made me nostalgic for a time I knew nothing of.

Familiar Wife

Perfectly portrays how no relationship is healthy when unilateral <33 The protagonists both started out as hardly likable, but they redeemed themselves beautifully throughout the course of the story...so much so that I was really, really rooting for them towards the end. The other characters all had little stories of their own and the story line dealt with everything so well.

Daily Dose of Sunshine

Loved this so much! Daily Dose of Sunshine offers a refreshing and empathetic portrayal of individuals grappling with various mental health challenges in that way only kdramas seem to be able to. A perfect watch at 12 episodes, this drama not only entertains but also educates, offering a nuanced exploration of the complexities surrounding mental well-being and breaking down the stigma associated with mental health in a sensitive and realistic manner. The cinematography and use of visual metaphors in depicting the characters' emotional landscapes is especially commendable. Overall a must-watch for those seeking a well-crafted, socially relevant drama that encourages empathy and understanding towards mental health struggles.

Little Women

Pretty happy with how things ended (except for the Do-Il and In-Joo bit) but I'm preeetty sure this would have worked even better as a 16-episode drama where they could have explored things and tied them up better. Compensation in the form of a second season? I wouldn't complain.
