That trial was a joke. There is too much that doesn't make sense and would raise some flags. If DeVoe had a restraining order against Barry, why would he send him a wedding gift that later would be used as convenient murder weapon? If Barry's skin was found under DeVoe's fingernails, then why wasn't there any sign of struggle on Barry's body? Or the apartment? He was found over the dead body, was he examined for any of that? Not a scratch. Everything seemed circumstantial. Which leads me to call bullshit on that verdict and that judge. Ceceil was a joke, too. "Best lawyer in town" my ass. She seemed like she was winging it the whole time with no strategy whatsoever, especially when Ralph handed her that photo that actually could've helped Barry if she wasn't in a rush to use it. I honestly felt so bad for Barry in this episode because I thought he was left in that courtroom with no one is his corner but himself. Even his "wife" couldn't support him when he had faith that he'd get out of this (despite being actually innocent) or when he decided to not reveal himself as The Flash, and nearly told everyone like it would magically solve everything. THAT and Iris' resting bitch face and her looking like being there for Barry was an inconvenience to her is why I never was and I will never be a fan of Westallen. #SorryNotSorry
[SCREAMS FOR 10 LIFETIMES STRAIGHT] MY HEART IS EXPLODING OH MY GOD. EIGHT EPISODES ARE NOT ENOUGH.
I NEED to know how he got out of that hole right now, holy shit. I mean it's crazy to be worried about Matt knowing noway in hell they'd kill him off, but I still was affected? And his supposed "death" was really sad? I mean that scene of Karen and Foggy waiting for him to walk through the door and then realizing he wasn't broke my heart. I nearly clawed my eyes out waiting for the scene where they show his face again, because I don't think I could've taken the season being over before we see him very well. And I hope I'm right in this but if he, a mortal, made it out alive then for sure it was thanks to Elektra and she is alive too. I choose to believe this and no fact will change my mind. Still, this is the worst cliffhanger in the history of ever. I can't wait a year or two to see more of this. And Maggie? His mother? Oh my god, give me season 3 now. My opinion may be biased thanks the amount of Matt and Elektra we got in this episode, but I think it was the best written one on the season, as it should be. The finale did not disappoint. God, so much shit went down in it but somehow all I care about right now is Matt and Elektra. I've said this before and I'll say it again, Charlie and Elodie have INSANELY good chemistry, like that shit with them was tragic. I really really really hope she will be a part of Season 3. Even if as the main villain. I don't care. I just hope this wasn't the end of Elektra.
Kept postponing watching the finale because I didn't hear a lot of good things about it, but honestly I was pleasantly surprised. Considering the disappointing and weak season, the finale was pretty decent, IMHO. Anyways, I love Caitlin. She is Queen. There she was offering to deliver a baby whilst everyone is freaking out in the middle of a crisis. Barry and Ralph team up was hilarious (the part where he turned into a cape when Barry carried him and ran had me rolling), wouldn't mind to see more of that next season. Though more of Barry taking action before someone tells him what to do specifically will be greatly appreciated. I will seriously miss Mrs and Mr DeVoe, they were the highlight of the season. The actors were bringing their A game every damn time they were on screen and they were always captivating.
And I don't know what the writers were thinking when they said no one guessed the mystery girl's identity. From the first minute she showed up fans were like that's Barry and Iris' daughter, no reveal there. I guess the mistake she made is helping Barry because probably the super sonic punch killed him or something. Cautiously looking forward to next season. The last few episodes restored a tiny bit of faith in the writing. Hopefully the next season will be and maintain to be better.
Kind of disappointed we never saw a confrontation between C&D about their past aggressions. Or some kind of character development outside of their scenes with E&H. But then again, this is why their relationship works I guess. They ignore their issues and carry on loving each other and spending ridiculous amount of money left and right. LOL Honestly, I found their dynamic the most compelling and thought provoking. (Maybe followed by the 3 generations of the Di Grassos.) While everything else is fairly entertaining, it's nothing we haven't already seen before. Anyways, it's like C&D found themselves stuck in this vicious cycle of mind games and trust issues and for all we know most of it could've been based on nothing. I mean it takes D but 2 seconds after E tells her something MIGHT have happened between C&H for her to proceed with her revenge plan so she wouldn't feel like a victim. What I'm saying is, YES, Cameron is a liar and a cheat, but Daphne should at least make sure some of these accusations are true before getting back at him, say, by bringing a CHILD into this world OUT OF SPITE. Obviously this child is loved and cared for, but what if that wasn't the case? IT IS WILD, I TELL YOU! They are CRAZY and I low key want a whole show on them.
Welllll... At least Esther and Babington got their happy and well deserved ending. I know I'm glad about that. They're two of the best and most compelling characters on the show. Also, this is probably the first and only episode where I wasn't slightly irritated by the music score. It was actually quite beautiful and very fitting for every scene. Unlike the rest of the episodes.
Sigh... I wish we could've seen Sidney's time in London with Eliza. I HATE that it happened off screen. I need to know more about the what and how and why. Because for now it kinda doesn't make sense. It feels like a rushed and incomplete ending. Probably it was done to ensure a second season. I mean it was OBVIOUS to her that Sidney no longer wanted to be with her. Any self respecting lady would lend or give him the money. Especially if she truly loves him like she claims. She'd want to help save his family. I guess she really meant it when she said she'd waited 10 years for them to be together. Come what may. Even if it means trapping him in a marriage he no longer wants to be in. Ugh. Poor Sidney. AND POOR CHARLOTTE. They almost got their happy ending.
