They got the look and costumes right. The cast is also perfect. So where did they go wrong ? Despite some fine looking action none of it is involving. Plus the video games pulls you into the 13th Century more than this movie does.
When Callum (Michael Fassbender) gets transported into the life of his ancestor, we mostly get all action and no character development. There's the making of a good video game based movie for once.
Except there's just not enough to the story to make you care about what's going on or the characters.
Worth checking out if you liked shows like Pushing Daisies or Dead Like Me. Kristen Bell is great in this too. So good at playing a bitch lol. Yet she's a likeable one.
Mind blown. Everyone needs to watch this. I definitely want a season 2 after that ending.
Perfect that a scary movie for Wednesday Addams is Legally Blonde.
I was really surprised by this movie. Nothing was entirely original. It was like ZombieLand meets Fall-Out. However the movie was ambitious, fun, sweet and exciting at times.
It was nice to see a dog used properly in a movie as well. I mean in most movies with monsters, the dog is predictably a goner. So that definitely was a nice change that he was utilized.
It’s strange to get a monster movie that I actually want to give a big hug.
My only complaint is that after making us ship Steve and Robin. They made her like girls.
Another great show people rated bad here before they even saw it... There's some Legends of Tomorrow similarities where it's about chasing a bad guy through time.
However, I'm hooked anyway due to good cast and performances. The show is fun as well.
Nice to see Timothy Olyphant in anything StarWars. I never realized I needed that. Then again Olyphant, should be in everything.

Occasionally goofy but cute and fun. DC still can’t do CGI for monsters though. The Seven Deadly Sins look like something from a Scooby-Doo movie.
So they need to work on CGI still. Since Doomsday and Stephanwolf. Either way the charm and heart is what makes Shazam good. It was perfectly cast as well.
I love the Wednesday Addams dance.
Fun but it starts out better than it ends. The cast is perfect through-out though. Samara Weaving gives a fine wtf is going on performance while being pretty badass at the same time.
You might be disappointed if you were hoping for family members killed one by one sort of movie though. I expected the movie to be more like You’re Next for example.
Quite entertaining despite all the bad reviews. Critics are just tired of Jack Sparrow I think. They are not tired of Fast and Furious movies though ?
The movie is fun and better than the 4th one. Kaya Scodelario makes a good addition as Carina Smyth. Who gets either confused as a witch or...a whore because she's a horologist lol. There's plenty of humor like that throughout that makes this one of the better Pirates movies.
While Javier Bardem once again makes a great villain as Captain Salazar. Who from the trailers you probably figured out, is a spirit wants vengeance on Jack Sparrow.
Otherwise stuff, like the search for Poseidon's Trident is as silly as the search for the fountain of youth in the last film. Also don't expect too much Orlando Bloom but it's nice to see him back nevertheless.
If this is the last one I wouldn't complain since it's a fitting ending.

Mostly a character driven season. If you think of it, so was the first season. So maybe all the "boo hoo season 2 wasn't what I wanted from the show" comments. Are from fans who don't get the show.
The season beautifully built up relationships more. Even if Mike and Eleven didn't have much screen time together. When they finally had scenes, they were what fans were waiting for.
As for being slow at times, so was season 1. I think they have about as much build up.
One boring critic on rottentomatoes said Chris Carter clearly forgot how to do the X-Files. No season 8-9 and I Want to Believe is him forgetting how to do the X-Files.
Episodes like this is definitely the X-Files. Mulder trying to figure out technology of today like how to take pics on his phone of the monster; is good stuff.
Were-Monster reminds me of classic episodes like Bad Blood.
I hate projectile puke scenes, they cheapen shows and movies. Other than that it was a good episode.
Despite being a very long movie Avatar: The Way of the Water at times is a superior sequel. That is more beautiful to look at “especially in IMAX 3D.” With some better action and adventure.
The movie might even manage to make the Avatar haters fans. Even if James Cameron doesn’t have something so good on his hands. That he can drag it out to seven movies.
The very end is a little disappointing. Nancy didn't wind up with who wanted her with. While the kids got over 11's sacrifice a little too quickly.
The show is like a book I couldn't put down. But I think the end could have been better. Hopefully there's a season 2 to give answers about what we were left with.
11 some how communicating with Mike is what I expected but
instead we got left with it being teased that I guess Will has monster slugs in him. Which could have even taken over his body.
That was haunting and creepy. So hopefully we do get some answers and maybe even 11 brought back some how. Either way if Mike wasn't going to wind up with 11.
Nancy not with Jonathan in the end was pretty annoying. "Oh cool, she got me another camera, I will just be alone taking pictures of stuff."
Why is a kid in it though ? This isn't Jurassic Park lol.
This show is about as engaging as the trailers for Super 8 made it appear to be. In other words Stranger Things is everything JJ Abrahams wanted Super 8 to be. It's a love note to Spielberg but also Stephen King, done right.

This episode more than ever has me annoyed that they even killed off Laurel. Amell has so much better chemistry with her than Felicity.
Rick, Daryl and Michonne weren't at the town to protect people from an attack. But Carol kicks some major ass; so you knew "she got this." She is so bad ass.
Monster High but with Wednesday Addams. Jenna Ortega is perfect though as is the dark humor. It’s also engaging.
Just 25 minutes in and I think Westworld could be the next Battlestar Galactica. It's more dark than the movie from the 70's. Just not sure why the engineers don't see all the crazy shit Ed Harris has been up to though. If they are always watching the robots.
Still, as a fan of the original movie, this show is pretty kick ass and I can't wait for more. The movie is pretty outdated and this show makes a great insanely awesome update. Even if all of it doesn't make complete sense so far.
