Just noticed this one on Apple TV+. What’s more to say, I like 1. Apple TV, 2. TV+ and 3. Apple’s TV apps on iOS, iPadOS, tvOS and macOS . . . as for the naming conventions here, I really don’t know what Apple was thinking.
TheLeVie — thank you for a great review.
I like it. Pilot episode needs another look, since there were many names and fast paced cuts.
The finest thing about The Wire is its authenticity. In fact, it’s so authentic and realistic, that it might bore you. It doesn’t feel or entertain like a show—it’s like watching a documentary. I’m just having a hard time to feel excited or interested. The narration is great. But the entertainment aspect is lost. It’s like watching reality. That might be very attractive or very boring. You decide. Watch the first three episodes and you will know the time, pace and feel of this show.
The Walking Dead has become a dead show walking.
I love Stephen King’s body of work and I nearly idolize J.J. Abrams. So, what could go wrong with Castle Rock?
Well, almost everything. Sure — my expectations were (too) high. But still, after watching the last episode, I remain disappointed.
I’m still hungry. Hungry for a show capturing the universe of Stephen King’s short stories and novels — not to mention The Dark Tower (as in the books, not the movie).
TL;DR; Had too high expectations. Love Stephen King as an author and J.J. Abrams as a producer and writer for television.
Castle Rock does not deliver a Stephen King experience, like it promises.
Instead it delivers a good, but rather ordinary, mystery with some time and space warps, portioned in ten episodes.
(And no, there’s no closure or sense of a “real” ending — but what would you expect from King and, even more so, J.J.?)

Beautiful. Hilarious. Smart. And yes, Mr Cumberbatch is perfect for the role.
Mosaic is a gripping, visually beautiful and, yes, slowly paced show. Truly one of the best shows in the “who did it” genre I’ve ever seen. Since it’s created and executed by Steven Soderbergh (“The Knick”), you can rest assured there’s plenty of cinematic quality all the way to the end.
Familyman239 — your list is very accurate in my humble opinion!

Created by Martin Scorsese, Terrence Winter and Mick Jagger. Need I say more?
