The finest thing about The Wire is its authenticity. In fact, it’s so authentic and realistic, that it might bore you. It doesn’t feel or entertain like a show—it’s like watching a documentary. I’m just having a hard time to feel excited or interested. The narration is great. But the entertainment aspect is lost. It’s like watching reality. That might be very attractive or very boring. You decide. Watch the first three episodes and you will know the time, pace and feel of this show.
