Freaking awesome! Total suspense, great drama; excellent interplay between human beings in apocalyptic circumstances. Watching social norms struggle under the pressure, some surviving, others discarded... the break down of social interaction into an ugly and tense confrontations, with some instances of questionable heroism... brilliant. Brilliant.
So far it has been amazing. Here is hoping they go just as far off the comic to make it not boring for those who read it but still keep it an amazing show.
One of my favorite show , awesome , Absolutely brilliant television show .
can't wait for season 2
One of my favorite show, it's awesome. I love comics and i love the show
The start was stunning then it seemed to peter out a little towards the end. Have high hopes for the second season although I'm a little worried they've got nowhere good to go.
My friend, Goldeneye01 introduced me to this show. Liked it a lot, but found some of the campervan/caravan material a bit slow? Maybe Im just a blood-fiend :) I thought the actress who also played Sarah Tancredi in Prison Break has improved, I think she's better in this than in Prison Break.
Good series!
They started off great and with awesome production values.
Love zombie apocalypse and the end of the world. But last 3 episodes are less amusing, it feels like they are searching what to do or attracting a different audience.
They invest in the cast to get you to like them and then they die or leave or get left behind. Really they are not that likable.
Hope next season is like episode 1. Which is by far the best.
Just my 2 cents
Awesome show! One of my favorites already.
Absolutely brilliant television show, one of the best i have seen in a long time!
And its finished! The first ever show I fell in love with. Its had its major ups and downs but overall it was a solid show filled with emotion, intense scenes and loveable characters.
The earlier seasons were definitely The Walking Dead's "prime" but the show never failed to somewhat deliver. I'll hold this show very fondly and very closely in my heart and remember it as the TV masterpiece it was.
If you've never watched The Walking Dead and you're reading this, give it a chance and join the TWD Family, it'll be rough at times but boy it'll be worth every second.
Thank you, The Walking Dead 2010 - 2022
let me tell you something
I'm not the biggest fan of zombies. But after watching 5 seasons certainly I'm a fan of this tv show. Why? I think it's the atmosphere and the development of the characters. In my opinion the actors do a great job. I don't know the comics, so I'm curious how it goes on.
To be specific 9.7
very nice story line and acting
This show isn't action packed, and though it has some moments of action, it'sually a slow-burner. However it does character development very well, the characters are human and flawed are likable and it raises interesting questions about what is being human, what we live for, etc.
It has some phenomenal seasons(at the prison and s6), great villains, strong women and well rounded characters.
It's not a show for everyone but, if you like character arcs twd is a great choice.
Am I the only person in the world that notices than Lauren Cohan now has a thicker southern accent than ever before?! I went back and checked damn it...I'm not crazy.
The Air Date and Time for upcoming episodes are incorrect. It should show the first broadcast, not the encore showing at 2am the next morning.
just one of my favourites!
wow wow wow wow wow
S P N >>> T W D
One of my favorite show.
Not as good after season 3 but I am still watching whenever a new episode comes out. Still my favorite TV show.
This Show is one of the best Zombie Tv Series!
But the comics and the game, are much better! :)
Took me a while to fall in love with this one, but now I'm always waiting for the next episode to come out.
[2] Freaking awesome! Total suspense, great drama; excellent interplay between human beings in apocalyptic circumstances. Really promising indeed!
Yes, the show get bad and they streched it hard. But, TWD is like being in a toxic relationship. She is bad for you and you know it, but you can't let her go, you're too attached at this point. And the numeros spin-offs are like her kids from another dude.
It started great and ended badly. Same as game of thrones.
Watch till Rick Grimms Ride the hilicopter.
Season 8,9,10,11 is dead to me
First few seasons are fresh and fun to watch...after that it feels like a real chore to keep up soooooooooooooo bye bye
I'm only watching TWD on obligation and because I crossed a line with no turning back, dammit I had the chance to give up on season 4. I should feel bad for saying it, but FUCK NO, every season finale I hope to be the last bloody episode I have to watch
Please ... does the investment on this show still worth for AMC, FOX, or whatever company holds the rights of exibition? cmooooooooon, stop being profitable, I'm tired
This used to be such an incredible show, so sad to see it go downhill like it has. Thankfully it is finally ending, I wish they would have gone out on top quite a few seasons ago like Breaking Bad did.
Used to be my favorite show, then it kept going, and going, and going, but unlike the energizer bunny this has run out of batteries and needs to set an end destination before it walks itself dead without any viewers left.
Would have been best if it had ended when they showed up at Alexandria and Rick heard the kids playing, ya know, before they all got murdered too.
Problem with this show is too many episodes they cant keep the peace aftter one or two good episodes there is few bad. There will be a lot of action in Negan story. If they dont split this story for 2 seasons, 7 season should be amazing.
last episodes are back in the same amazingness from s01
As much as I loved The Walking Dead, it sadly got less interesting near the end. I think I lost big interest after the Whisperers ended. Despite that it’s a show I’ve always loved and will no doubt watch again! So glad I got to grow up watching this show when it was released season after season!
This is a weird one that bucks the trends of most of my other show reviews and recommendations. The first 4ish seasons of this show were some of the best seasons to ever appear on television. THEN there is periods of lulls...then greatness...then lulls. Does the greatness come from the lulls and world building? Could the lulls be called fluff and cut out? I don't have the answer to that. I wholeheartedly love this show, but also cannot recommend to anyone to watch it start to finish. My average season review below includes everything (including the lackluster single season spin off). My recommendation is that this is a must see show that you have to get through "Bad Negan".
Average Season Review: 7.96/10 (Includes Tales of the Walking Dead Spin-Off)
Recommendation: Must See (For Post Apocalyptic Drama Fans)
EDIT (After Dead City, Daryl Dixon, & The Ones Who Live)
All three spin-offs were quite solid, progressively better with each one. While The Ones Who Live was never as good as peak Walking Dead, it was darn close. That mini series is a must see for any Walking Dead fan as it hits all things wonderful about this world in essentially self contained episodes!
Average Season Review: 8/10
The show from seasons 1-7 has to be one of the best shows ever on television. After Rick left and they killed off his son, it hasn’t been the same.
Decent enough episode glad to see Negan finally getting some more screen time!
La mejor en su género.
Oh Shet , fantastic season 7 episode 1
One Of Few TV Shows That You wish they make more seasons and you'll never get bored
THEY COULD HAVE GIVEN US THE HORSE
Its getting very unbareable. The first ep of the season was one of the best TV shows ever...since then, it has been really hard to keep watching. The action is getting incredibly sparce. Michone, the best character in the entire show is being forgotten. I think she had three lines and only one scene the last ep and I dont remember much from her at all in any of the others. I dont even know who some of the people are that are getting alll the screen time, thats how boring this thing is getting. The red haired dude...the fat smart guy... those two girls with them, I have no idea what there names are, and dont care, lets hurry up and kill them off so we can get some more of Michone!!!! More Action, less blank staring and pausing for lines. This is getting so horrible, Ive started watching Z Nation!!!!
There are many boring films about zombie, but TWD is a thrill.
best series
good worth watching
This storyline is about as dysfunctional as my Christmas Family dinners.
But Zombies are cool.
be scared and stay alert
Love it but didn't like the whole Governor story line.
From what I seem so far I like this show
Thank FUCK Shane is dead. He was one irritating motherfucker.
RIP Dale, we'll miss you!
first season: awesome
second: utter crap
Season 2 opener was pretty slow. Starting out how the last season ended... sucky!
Too repetitive, should have ended in three seasons.
Just bumped my original "10" rating down to a 7, seems like they have lost the essence that made this show great. still gonna ride this till the end and enjoy the excellent action along the way.
Any one in to zombies should watch, you'll love the first couple of seasons
It's almost easy to forget what a huge sensation The Walking Dead was in the early 2010s. It changed the television landscape and supercharged the zombie phenomenon that had started almost a whole decade before, with a great cast and perfect balance between psychological drama and post-apocalypse horror. Well, the first few seasons at least. The show lost its way at season 4 in my opinion, and I had to stop watching after the season 7 premiere along with millions of other viewers due to the cheap writing and stretched out storylines that were clearly going nowhere. Had a really good run while it lasted though! But the show should've been 5 seasons max in my opinion.
Season 1 is perfect for what it is, 2 also aside from dragging a bit in places, 3 is very solid but doesn't really climax until the mid-season-4 finale. AMC just kept it going for the $ but the viewership keeps going down, so it's fiiiinally ending this year I think? Or next? Who knows or cares, all the original characters aren't even in it anymore I'm pretty sure. But despite all the up and down quality of this series, there are some truly fantastic episodes to be found. You can probably just watch season 1 and call it a day, or anywhere after the best episode of the series, What Happened & What's Going On. I’d say it’s pretty good until season 6 where it starts going downhill, especially after The Same Boat.
My favorite eps: Days Gone Bye, Vatos, What Lies Ahead, Pretty Much Dead Already, Nebraska, 18 Miles Out, Judge Jury & Executioner, Beside the Dying Fire, Seed, Killer Within, Live Bait, Dead Weight, Too Far Gone, No Sanctuary, The Grove, A, What Happened & What's Going On, The Distance, Remember, Conquer, No Way Out, and The Same Boat.
I really enjoyed the first season and stuck with it through the second, despite it feeling repetitive. I gave up in the third because it was too samey and the interpersonal dynamics I enjoyed in the first season were lost. I would recommend first season and maybe second but no more.
I'm a big zombie fan and a lot of people I admire are involved in this show. A Breaking Bad director and a Lost director each directed one episode.
That being said, the characters and the writing for this show are pretty poor. They're doing a good job with making the zombies seem realistic, but the characters seem fake and shallow. A lot of the plot devices are equally predictable.
I'm hoping they can do more with the second season. I'll still be watching, but it's been a disappointment so far.
3 Thoughts After Completing ‘The Walking Dead’:
It is a TRAVESTY that I have to rate this series a 7, because it’s had so many level-10 moments throughout its long run. It was a global sensation for a reason. But some seasons were stronger than others, and later storytelling didn’t seem to come as naturally, and effectively, as it once did. Still, nobody can deny this show’s epic impact on pop culture.
The best part of this show? THE CAST. The barrage of faces that’ve come and gone have been immense, and never lacked quality. Every single one of these actors nailed it, even when the writing failed them. They are the heart and soul of this story. And I’ve gotta throw Greg Nicotero in there too. So. Much. Talent.
Yeah, it should’ve ended earlier. I feel like that’s a general consensus amongst everyone. Story and proper closure were seemingly sacrificed for cash. But it IS worth the ride. Even tho it can occasionally be a challenging one.
Finally over! A good show overall with its ups and downs.
Can't wait to see Daryl visiting Paris tho /s
The first five or six seasons were amazing! Some of the most engaging, awe-inducing TV I've seen. If they had the sense to quit while they were ahead, this would've gone down as a truly phenomenal show. But, as it all too often happens with shows of this caliber, they didn't, and unsurprisingly the quality of the show dropped precipitously. Seasons 7 and 8 were poor, 9 was decent enough, and 10 was genuinely awful. The covid-era "bonus episodes" were truly the icing on the cake, as all but one of them were absolute garbage (chasing a mouse for 40 minutes?!?! GTFO.) and really underscored the destitution in the writer's room at this point. But the show runners don't even have the decency to hobble across the finish line with dignity. Instead they announce the introduction of multiple spin-offs for multiple characters after the show supposedly ends. They ALREADY have Fear and the World Beyond, so this makes how many spin-offs? 6? 7? 8? I've actually lost count. Just do TWDverse and its audience a huge favor and put us both out of our misery...please...
This show should have ended after S5 or even before that - it would’ve been a 9/10 at least. The rest is just not worth it tbh. Shame really…
But Negan is still funny
This is my favorite show of all times...
Season 2 and 3 was very slow. Got very repetitive after Season 4.
I had a feeling that this show would be something great from season one. I love the introduction of Negan. I love to hate that guy. He definitely brings new excitement to the series, but it has me questioning what is season 8 going to be about? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Season 7 episode 1 is one of the best episodes I have seen; all series included. Really shows how you don't need very expensive effects and actors to keep us on the edge of our seats.
Really awesome
It was good, until it went bad. Season 5 was already mediocre and heard season 6 is just downhill.
Like it but still prefer the comics!
Mediocre acting, poor writing, and bad story lines, if 95% of the characters got killed off it would be for the better. The first season and a half were decent, after that they started to sit too long and the writers + actors just aren't good enough to carry it.
started nice and tenseful.... but gets boring and boring...
Zombileri severim.Sizde beni sevin (:
Finally, season 2 has ZOMBIES! :)
Easy recommendation for zombie-survival fans or fans of the original comic books.
I really wanted to like this series, but it just doesn't make sense imho.
One day Zombies are smelling humans, the other day they are able to hide in plain sight. One day there are no zombies at all while they do shooting practice, the next day they get overrun because of one gunshot (a little kid doing a headshot with shaky hands right past his dad) while they have to conserve ammo. Not mentioning Zombies breaking through cars but other zombies not able to trespass a simple fence or headshots with a shotgun out of a driving car. The first episode was so promising :|
Lemme tell you how this series is:
The starting episodes and the ending episodes are goddamn epic no doubt about it, but why do you feel it that way?
That's because the rest of the episodes are complete big pile of dried up horseshit that has been dragging along a concrete road, so when you see something satisfying even if it's by a small degree, it feels epic. And that is the successful formula of this show.
It's gonna keep dragging and continue like that because it's nowhere near the ending
And that's what it is.
I'm going to stop watching after the 7th season. it's too dragging now. the first few seasons were great, but lately it feels like it's all going downhill. the plot is getting cyclical. I'll only watch once they start finding out how this zombification started, until then, ciao.
awesome show, but I have only watched season 1 so far. But I am really excited for the rest :)
boooring as f*ck
As of writing this, I am 29% in. The first season was good, the second meh, but now it's gone on so long it's just gotten repetitive. I find I hit skip a few times each episode, and it makes no difference at all. I may watch more in the future, but for now, I think I've seen enough.
Started out alright but by season four I was done. Can’t believe it lasted as long as it did.
Kind of a disappointing show considering the source material. About half of seasons are good, I'd recommend watching the spin off show instead (Skip the first 3 seasons though).

Thrilling, appalling, interminable. Squeamish need not apply.
Overall: engaging but unrewarding.
OMG... Season 7 premiere was hard core! The most intense TV I've seen to date, and be aware there is a lot of gore in this episode, even for TWD. I know why they put ads in episodes now, for the views to catch their breath! Enjoy all!
When can I watch them
I think 3 stars is enough for me right now, i did really enjoy the show season 1 and 2 and half way through season 3 but after that i just kinda got bored and after they killed the governor i just got even more bored as i loved to hate that man, but i will continue to watch as i have watched the past seasons, maybe season 5 will have me excited for it to be on.
First season of this series was amazing and showed great potential. I highly recommend fans to pick up the comic, even more so, if you're disappointed with the second season. The TV series' storyline differs from the original found in the comics.
The first season was just too short to be anything other than "meh", the second season however, is just plain [gono]horrific.
The acting is absolutely disgusting, and the story is total crap.
Ends on cliff hanger. Starts new ep. 5 minutes in its good. next 40 minutes its quite disappointing. Ends on cliff hanger. Repeat.
