I just love those official episode descriptions!
This season has been amazing for me until now, and seeing all the plots coming together is wonderful.
The whole cast gives an extraordinary performance (the stand-in for Josh included), and the writers pulled off another magic trick making so much things from the books come out in new ways, yet still woven in the overarching story. Even the Cozy Horse was there! Such a brilliant adaptation, I loved this episode soooo much.
"This promise that people like me can somehow find an escape... there has to be some power in that."
Hehe, Margo had quite a few cool conversations/scenes in this episode.
And Dean Fogg was very badass <3
Let's hope the next episode will show a lot of cool magic.
This is another show with very nuanced romantic ships. In this way, it reminds me of Shadowhunter's.
Oh, wow! This was one of the best episodes of the season! From Quentin's heartbreaking monologue about his lost love for Fillory and the Monsters Bros. raiding and slaughtering the Library... Woof! The tension, at times, was palpable. This is The Magicians on full throttle!
One of the things I enjoyed the most was Dean Fogg actually getting down to action on his own. He's been nothing but a worthless whiney drunk, lately, so I was glad to see him getting back to his former, more respectful self, even if it was just for this episode (but hopefully not).
The only thing worse about Margo banging Josh is Margo falling for Josh.... Seriously, what were the writers thinking?! No one wants that relationship happening, it makes so little sense. But at least we got to see pirate Margo again, and that look suits her soooo well, since it bumps her already quite high badassery to insane levels.
That scene with Monster Eliot asking Monster Julia what his name was and then justifying the need for it for Starbucks purposes, was a fine example of how Monster Eliot is great with his unintentional deadpan comedy act. I absolutely love that side of him (but hate everything else about the guy, of course).
"Are we screwed because Quentin can't get it up for Fillory?"... Damn! This show still has the best one-liners. Most of them come from Margo, of course, but the show is so good at this that every now and then every other character also chips in with genuine gold.
Quentin & Alice is finally happening again! Rejoice! I ain't gonna lie, I may have jjzzed just a little when they sincerely kissed each other. I honestly can't ship those two any harder than I already do. I can't wait to see them both all juiced up on magic taking down the Monster Bros.! Best power couple on the show!
- ...rabbit pirates.
- Are those pirates who steal rabbits, or pirates who are rabbits?
-
Kind of both(Mind retcon) Yes.
Don't know who's more out of their league Josh or Quentin.
What a fecking cliff hanger that was. Just one more to go. No idea what could happen.

-"Tell me do I have a name?"
-"Why would you need one?"
-"Starbucks mostly"
