Mon-El is back and he has a wife. Let me pretend I care:
...
Okay, that's enough. Moving on!
Reign has awoken! I'm officially terrified. I mean, I don't know shit about her and I have no intention of spoiling the fun by looking it up, but she already seems like she'll be a great villain. I can't wait to see her powers fully develop. She'll wreak so much havoc. Shame about Sam though, I really liked her. Maybe they'll be able to bring her back somehow at the end of the season. And what's going to happen to Ruby? As annoying as she is, she doesn't deserve to be left completely alone. Also, I don't buy that that ship had been in that shed all those years and Sam had never seen it before. Am I really supposed to believe she never went snooping in there as a kid? Not even once?
J'onn and his dad's storyline was very sweet. It's nice to see that J'onn has at least one member of his family back.
Next week, the crossover is coming! And unlike last year, the Supergirl part of it won't be limited to the last 5 minutes of the episode! I am absolutely pumped for this!
lol I love how there's alien pods in sheds all across America, apparently. I'm bummed for Sam; hopefully the arc will end in a good way for her.
haha sucks for all you guys who hate Mon-El and were glad he was gone. I knew he'd be back soon. I don't get all the Mon-El hate, he's like the nicest character on the show. I'm Happy he showed up again.
No lgbt ... thank god. Horrible acting for the "birth" if Reign. Those screams and hand gesture...omfg... where did they find that actress... school of garbage actresses? Glad to see Mon-El back. We need a real man role in here. Jimmy and Winn are ...to effeminate...J'on could dissapear from the show...he has no value. Hope to some villainy from Mon'el ... i dont expect much from Reign... but poor playing
Oh look white bread is back. How am I not surprised that despite him knowing it's only been 7 months for Kara he still proceeds to treat her like shit, be suspicious as fuck, and then kiss his wife in front of her? Well at least they're not back together. Time to move on Kara! Hopefully he'll be gone again soon.
More importantly. Holy shit the Reign stuff was good. That switch at the end when she came to power. Spot on. I've been so impressed with the actress playing Sam. Great casting. Looking forward to this arc!
Alright. Who's "brilliant" idea was it to bring Mon-El back? He's garbage!
Oh WOW! What an episode! Poor Sam, her adoptive mother is the worst. And her fate seems awful, too. Hope she finds her way through this with Kara's help.
Also Mon-El is back and MARRIED?! I kinda don’t feel this storyline. I hope there's no love triangle on the way. Seems like him and Kara are officially over now. Once and for all. I don’t see him getting divorced haha. I just hope Kara is not a mess again about this. I am not interested in more heartbroken girls on this show. Pls move on quickly.
The episode was alright I suppose but I'm not too keen in the decision to bring Mon El back, I mean sure he might add some conflict in later episodes and I did love him when he frequented the show but I just wish that I hadn't returned. Although his exit was sad it was quite fulfilling and his return has ruined that.
I like that we finally got to see what was going on with Samantha although I pretty much had it figured out a few episodes back it was nice to see the show finally uiltilizing this story line. overall the episode was just a bit too much filler for me
At this point, Supergirl is so much better than its three Arrowverse companion shows that the running's not even remotely close. On the other shows, the character arcs and related themes consistently feel like they either take a backseat to the superheroics, or act in service of them. Over time, Supergirl's producers seemed to have turned this formula on its head, making sure that every superhero plot is anchored in character development. Melodrama has always been the strong suit of Greg Berlanti and his collaborators, but it's been a good while since one of their shows has felt as consistently gripping as Arrow's early years. I'm thrilled that Supergirl does, and I sincerely hope that its stablemates are (or were, as I'm two-odd years behind) taking notes.
why is mon-el back ughhh
MonHell is back. Yayyyy! (no)
The birth of reign was... underwhelming but I'm still excited for her.
Damnnnnn...poor Kara can't catch a break!
That ish is just cruel man. I always wondered when they were going to bring Monel back, albeit I didn't care for his character at first.
Bringing him back this was is just wrong but I guess it was needed in order for Supergirl to move on.
Sad to learn the chick is going to be a villain... although I'm sure her daughter will get her back to "good"... it's kind of obvious but we shall see.
I guess I should have known she was going to be a villain. When I first saw she had powers I thought, gee... ANOTHER Supergirl.
Oh well... I'm still loving the show.
The music cues are so beautiful. The directing is aesthetically pleasing. The acting is amazing. I find myself looking forward to this show every week this year.
Welcome to the CW, where relationship drama is required by contract. I didn't like Mon-El last year as Kara's love interest simply because of how he behaved towards her. He was holding her back. It was kinda toxic, if you know what I mean. Silly me for thinking they would bring him back and give Kara a happy relationship despite me not liking it. But they just put him back in the grid and married because "Relationship drama". Honestly, I don't want Kara to be with him but it hurts my heart seeing that spacial puppy sad. Goodness me, Melissa can act.
No matter the show on the CW they always do the same. They spend almost one season building up a happy relationship just to break it up by introducing a love triangle. But a wife? This ends up the "will they, won't they" thingy they always have.
I liked the episode, though. It was a nice 3 part story. The birth of Reign, J'onn reconnecting with his dad and Mon-El being back.
I love Sam. She's the absolute best and the Odette Annable sells the role perfectly. I hate that now she's evil because she was growing on me but I'm sure this isn't the last we've seen of her. She's got annoying Ruby to bring her back. I mean, that has to be her sole purpose.
The build-up of the transformation was fantastic but the actual transformation was underwhelming. I was expecting a bigger transformation of Sam into Reign rather than just someone saying her name and Hocus Pocus you're Reign. I guess the red eyes was done in purpose to show that she's possessed by evil, which would actually make sense because she doesn't really want to be evil. But I was expecting something more CGI-budget like. Like I don't know, stones collapsing and the ground shacking. But let's see how it evolves.
That scene with Sam and Patricia discovering the ship reminded me so much of Superman and Jonathan. I had the goofiest smile on my face.
One of my favourite parts was J'onn with his dad. It warmed me heart to see how he was willing to change because of his dad. I love that relationship and how close they're now and I really hope the writers don't get rid of him.
"I understand the appeal of c'of-fee", lol. I loved it! Couldn't stop laughing.
Next week's the big crossover and I can't be more hyped!
Alright episode glad to meet the villain

Oh great writers, bring back Mon-El so the whole show is about him again. Finally Kara was feeling better after last week’s episode and now she’s fussing over him once more and losing her personality in the process.
