I was out. Jogging. Fully clothed.
Well, this was fun! I love seeing all our heroes get together. And I'm probably in the minority, but the first 3/4 of this episode were my favorite. I'm totally here for all the mushy stuff. Girls getting mani-pedis, Joe giving the most heartfelt speech in the history of speeches, Kara singing while Iris walks down the aisle... Sign me up! I was so happy. Everything was perfect. And I don't know how it's possible, but I kind of hate and at the same time kind of dig Sara and Alex hooking up. The way they kicked ass together was awesome. And as always, there were a ton of little references to things that I'd already forgotten about, like the fact that Mick kidnapped Caitlin once. Overall, a very enjoyable episode.
That was so much fun! I loved every minute of it. I love seeing all my heros together fighting toe to toe. I'm glad this year we got our long-time promised 4 part crossover event and not 3 part plus 5 Supergirl minutes.
The episode looked like a movie divided into four parts. I'm glad they didn't do single handed episodes based on each show. This was Supergirl's episode but it could've been any other.
I felt like a 5 year old kid watching the episode. Never have 42 minutes gone by that fast. So much was my enjoyment that I didn't even realize it was almost over.
James at the beginning, lol. He got wasted in like 5 minutes. I wasn't expecting this episode to be the best one because they needed to build up the story but, cheesiness aside, I really enjoyed everything previous to the "wedding". It was lovely to see the girls getting a mani-pedi and talking about cheesy wedding thingies. Not every episode can be 100% fight, but I enjoyed those little moments.
The final fight, however, was simply perfect. Sara and Alex being badasses together was something that I could finally cross out of my list. I've been waiting for that moment for a very long time and it delivered. It was blatantly obvious they were gonna hook up, but predictable as it was, I loved it. It was so much fun to see them together.
Joe's speech was so sweet and tender. Really lovely. So lovely that anyone who had missed it should've been locked up in Iron Heights, lol. It was so warming and heartfelt. Lovely scene.
I loved the little interaction between characters such as Caitlin and Rory acknowledging he kidnapped her. That was gold. Not to mention the look on his face when he saw that Caitlin had cold powers. He misses Snart so damn much. I'll never get tired of listening to the things Mick loves and hates. And today's list got upgraded. The way he shook Captain Singh's hand and said "I hate cops" cracked me up. And he wearing one of Stein's robes because Lily was upset he was wandering around the house naked was a gold. Mick lives for bar fights, free buffets and open bars. At this point I'm sure he always has a beer literally glued to his hand, lol.
Jax and Stein's bond is something that words can't describe. They're father and son and seeing Stein go is going to be hard to cope with. Jax broke my heart this episode and he crashed and stomped on it in the Arrow one. They made me laugh and they made me cry. The only certainty is that I'm gonna miss Stein so damn much. Btw, Stein's relationship with Caitlin is so sweet and tender. And they even talk about Ronnie and Caitlin's marriage which has to be a foreshadowing of the fact that once the invasion ends, he's gonna be the one to marry Barry and Iris, which would be lovely.
Seeing Cisco breaching Oliver was one of those things that I can't stop watching. It was so badass.
And that bartender at the wedding? She's gotta be from the future right? Barry and Iris' daughter? Grand-daughter? She really seemed concerned about the wedding, like trying to make sure they get married. Plus, she seemed a little Barry-like in her clumsiness. Let's see what this leads to.
What's up with the Marvel superheros name-dropping this season? "You're trying to turn me into Spider-Man?" The universe is exploding and we haven't even figured it out. Jax cracked me up in that scene.
Kara singing "Running home to you" was so sweet. I didn't expect that scene to be so emotional. Her voice is so smooth.
The Nazi plot was heavy. I mean, Nazis? Wow. There was one part of dialogue that bothered the hell out of me. There are certain words that don't belong in a sentence together and that's the case of the "ethnic cleansing" and the "hashtag 'melting pot'". And can we please stop the hashtag thingy? No one talks like that, at least as far as I'm aware.
Barry: "What happened to Mon-El?"
Kara: "The end of the world"
Barry: "Faced that three times"
Kara: "Time travel"
Barry: "I've been there, a lot"
Kara: "He's married to someone else"
Barry: "Uh-oh"
That was so funny.
I particularly loved the music this episode. It was on point, especially the mixture between the soundtrack from the four shows.
I'm still not watching Arrow or Legends!
Die Amis wieder, Hauptsache die bösen nazis irgendwie untergebracht. Schon schlecht
It's the day before Barry and Iris get married and no one among the core group has RSVP'ed yet because that's what good friends do to each other. Alex and Sara meet and get drunk at the rehearsal dinner and have a one-night stand, but it's all okay because Kara says so the next day. Those crazy kids. Bad guys show up at the wedding with a plan that starts with killing the minister because it always makes sense to take out the least dangerous person in a room first. So much for the element of surprise. Then a bunch of the bad guys with automatic weapons fail to injure anyone, let alone kill anyone. Probably because most of them think that just standing around or fighting hand-to-hand makes more sense than, you know, putting many, many bullets into people. Meanwhile, Barry fails to incapacitate even a single bad guy even though he could have neutralized every human attacker in seconds or less. Seriously, he should have said, "Kara, go after the flying person while I take out the humans and I'll join you in five seconds to tag-team the flying person so that this whole thing is over within 60 seconds." Then Thawne would have been left alone with plenty of time to be annoyed by the fact that he'd surrounded himself with stupid people.
A solid start to the crossover!
Nice scene setting and callbacks.
Also James getting killed in first few mins. Class.
Nazi Supergirl looks badass tho. Kara needs to take some tips on the suit from her.
Great start of this year's crossover and this one seems better than last year's. More action! Applause to the writers!!
Best. FanFic. Ever!! The first half of the episode was absolutely fantastic and hilarious. Except for the Olicity fight. Why do my babies insist on breaking my heart? I just want them to live happily ever after and have a gaggle of little superhero babies.
Sara asking Alex about her butt had me laughing so hard! I ship it! And Barry's tears as he watched Iris walk down the aisle? I'm a firm Snowbarry shipper, but that was beyond sweet! Also that convo between Barry and Kara? They'd make great BFF's
OMG I'm beyond excited about this crossover!
I was ready to hate this episode after last year’s terrible crossover, but I was pleasantly surprised. Great first part. Not too messy and really well done and put together. Kara and Alex’s scene outside the church was the highlight for me.
Although the episode started a little bit boring it turned out to be really great in the end! Way better than last year‘s crossover. And can we talk about the scenes between Alex and Sara? They were so funny. Naturally they had to hook up (that wasn‘t a surprise for anyone, there can‘t be two lesbians in a show without hooking up) but at least it was well written and in-character.
this was horrible... it was like torture having to sit through this hot mess
I did not need to see that. Yuk. Can't trust CW to make a good show.
Episode starts about a wedding. Then it switched quickly to vomiting lgbt action. We can't have a show where we are not intoxicated with this nonsense. To finish this off...we get an (armed) army entering a church, starts firing and we have absolute 0 casualty. So we had it all folks... vomit action, moron action, food for retards action. I am starting to realise that writting a script for a tv show is the most incredible hard thing one being can do on this planet.
Wow, even in a crossover episode the writers manage to mention Mon-El like a hundred times.
Crisis on Earth-X means to watch the following episodes as part of the crossover or a.k.a. "Arrowverse":
Supergirl S03E08 Crisis on Earth X (I)
Arrow S06E08 Crisis on Earth-X (II)
The Flash S04E08 Crisis on Earth-X (III)
DC's Legends of Tomorrow S03E08 Crisis on Earth X (IV)
I agree with Mr. Rory: ...Best wedding ever!
I was a little scared of this year's crossover because the last one wasn't that good, but this one has already proven to be waaaaaay better! It was an amazing episode, and the fighting sequence at the church was so awesome!! Can't wait for the rest of "Crisis on Earth-X".
Saving all the action for the next episodes I guess. Despite there being some good action the last 10 minutes. Still, this one was entertaining. Mick gets drunk and wears a dress, just so he doesn't have to walk around naked, logically.
Alex and Sarah goes where you would expect but even that was funny. All the marriage stuff, I don't know I just find corny. But hey it's CW. Olicity heads will climax at the thought of Oliver and Felicity even talking about marriage though.
Sorry, climax is the only word I could think of lol.
“I hate Nazis.” -Kara and Oliver at the same time:sob::joy:
Ok this was super boring and confusing for me as I have not seen Arrow, The Flash or any of those shows… Also what is it with Americans and Nazis?! My God.
Where did Oliver get the arrows from?
Part 1 - Supergirl - S03E08
Part 2 - Arrow - S06E08
Part 3 - The Flash - S04E08
Part 4 - DC's Legends of Tomorrow - S03E08
I think this is one of the best crossovers yet it helped people's different character arcs from across the four Arrowverse shows. It wasn't too action packed which was a bit of a shame but seen as though it is the beginning of the crossover that's not too much of an issue.
American heros fighting against the german socialist regime.
We already know how this ends, just like in WW2.
American patriots: 1
German socialists: 0
Yay. Soap Opera with Nazis!
Loved this one. way better than the crossover last year. it's so great seeing all the characters interacting with each other. lots of fun!
'The Ray' should be 'The Atom' in the episode description.

That was fun. Guardian getting wasted in the first 5 min was so gratifying.
