Bungle gets an invitation from Matthew Corbett for Sooty's Birthday party, no one else in the house has one. He feels very grown up and special and decides to spend the day in bed being treated like The Queen.
It's a really hot day, so Geoffrey gets out a paddling pool to keep everyone cool. Bungles fills it with water, but ends up soaking Geoffrey. Rod, Jane and Freddy sing "Look At The Rain". Jo reads a story called 'The Hottest Day in History'. Then it starts to rain, so everyone goes inside.
Zippy's cousin Zippo rings him up asking if he can come over, but Zippy's too scared to ask Geoffrey, so he tries to make sure they don't find out. Zippo keeps making mess, but poor Zippy keeps getting blamed for it and everyone gets confused. Rod, Jane and Freddy sing "Zippy's Up To Something". Geoffrey reads a story called 'Shhh! Don't Tell Monkey'. Then he finds out Zippo's come to stay and understands why everyone got confused before.
It's a cold and snowy day and the heating has broken down in the Rainbow House. To keep warm Geoffrey, Bungle, Zippy and George put on lots of wooly jumpers and scarves, do some exercises, and sing "The Hokey Cokey". Bungle and George make a model of a snowman. Rod, Jane and Freddy sing "Mr Snowman". Geoffrey gives Zippy, George and Bungle some lovely hot soup and they're soon warm again as the workmen fix the heating.
George makes a secret wish. Zippy thinks George is wishing for a little Thumbelina and Bungle thinks he is wishing for a flower. They're both very surprised when George's wish comes true. Rod, Jane and Freddy sing a song called "Wishing" Geoffrey reads a story called 'The Three Wishes'. The Great Kovari performs some magic tricks.
