The ultimate meta joke. An entire episode built around singular concept (what if we did the pilot but better) and it commits to the bit so hard you can't help but respect it. It also helps that every song in this is a banger, particularly the opening and closing numbers which are both all timers for the series (though Whatcha Doin' and Rollercoaster are up there as well).
It's also a great way to see how the show has evolved with time. Phineas' more likable personality past the pilot infuses this remake with a much more energetic feeling, and the faster pace of the show is noticeable here with it's more mile a minute joke telling rather then the slow burn of the original pilot. One of the best episodes of the season.
