Despite the main cast sick in bed during this episode, this is an episode that's all about setups and payoffs. The clever ways this episode builds to it's climax allows for an interesting experience, particularly in how most of the episode is a laid back, almost laisse fair event. We've had episodes like this before, but this one might be my favourite due to how strong the gags are, particularly with Perry and Doof.
And then the end of the episode happens, and pushes it over the edge. "There's A Platypus Controlling Me" is one of the most creative, hilarious, and ingenious songs ever written for the show, and the emotional climax between Vanessa and Doof really sells it. Great stuff.
