Was that Edge, from WWE? That guy can't be trusted!

I'm really liking this show (I think I've said it every week/every review). It's just enjoyable easy watching. I'd gladly watch another season of this.

This feels like the most assured and complete episode to date and I think that's largely down to Grover actually being allowed to do something. It's been a while since I read the books so I can't remember if it's the same kind of problem the show's had with them up to this point or not. Also, unlike the last episode, it felt like this one had the room to breathe.

ON THIS DAY, I SEE CLEARLY…

The first few amusement park scenes were so dark ugh

Percy's main quest takes a small detour when they encounter Ares. Grover is left behind as collateral which works in his favor to sway Ares to liking him and opening up about the gods and potential lightening thief. Percy and Annabeth, love their on-screen chemistry together as much as the books, even the way she calls him Seaweed Brain makes their friendship so genuine and I can't get enough of it. It's great to see other Greek figures slowly making their appearances in the show as well.

Finally some Grover time to shine, and he did it brilliatly (though I don't know if he'll crack the case right away). The evolving dynamics between Annabeth and Percy continue to pay off as well, perhaps a little too fast but that's the pacing established from the start.

Too bad we didn't get that much Timothy Omundson but at least Adam Copeland got to have some funny scenes - I think I've only seen those from him back in Haven.

This was a good one. It was fun and had some good action. I enjoyed the theme park, it was a cool set. Percy getting out of it felt like heavy plot armour but thats pretty common with kids shows

were there any real stakes? there was no emotional payoff.

Edit: that whole turning to gold scene is so... it had the same threat level or urgency of being left behind in a metro but don't worry, another metro is coming soon

Leah Sava Jefferies is really an astounding actress. She has a great future in front of her.

Love that Lassiter is in this as well :)

Nice to see Timothy Omundson (Psych) up and walking around. Talking pretty clearly too. Since he had a stroke around when the Psych movies were made.
Also Adam Copeland was pretty solid as Ares.
