That dude's reaction to his dick exploding seemed severely understated.
I found my favourite ship on this show: Jordan x Marie.
I thought it was a visual metaphor of being inside her mind, until his dick exploded.. oh snap!
Interesting episodes and pairing and wow it's wild the places it goes.
So many holes in this world. So little time to fill them all
I love that they finally have Tek Knight fucking things, it always made me laugh in the comics
The guy who played “Dick exploding guy” Rufus played Jack on Supernatural. I knew I recognized him.
Weird jump at the end, but I thought it was funny. Especially with the background track.
Wow, cricket has grown to new heights! Another good episode (so like The Boys style of blood and Mayhem. " :thumbsup_tone1:
So if Marie can do that to a dick she technically make any parts explode. Also loved giant Cricket! Helluva ending to jump cut like that!
Damn, Wolf's power ups are out of control.
Cate's looking pretty suspicious. I think she's got something to do with the woods and might've been pulling strings on Luke and now Andre.
Ngl, I thought this series is gonna be like teen drama with the Boys fade.
The 2&3 Episodes feels streched, but the fourth one seems it's going somewhere.
Wanted to like this show more than I do. Having trouble caring about the characters, aside from Emma.
Watched this only a day after the real-life death of Chance who plays Andre. Such a tragic loss, he was magnificent in both Sabrina and in Gen V. He will be missed :(
A bit confusing and less interesting episode than usual.
I don't really get the Marie x Jordan romance, but Emma and Sam are so cute together, and my favorite characters so far.
The thing keeps getting better, that puppets, that blood. Emma is still the best character
So far, it slightly less cynical, a bit more hopeful version of the Boys. And they probably all gonna die in the end anyway
Is Cate part of it? I actually loved that so far she didn't abused by the Boys standard her pretty easily corruptible power. I hope it stays that way. I don't want her turning out to be manipulative or insincere at the very least.
Kinda confused with what they doing with Jordan. Am I supposed to see them turning into a guy before going for a kiss as a bad thing? Like hiding true self in a way. Cause I think those two mostly interacted when they're represented as a girl. Or am I overthinking this?
First episode I've really liked.
This is in The BoysEU, but at its core it's a teen drama, and I'm not a teenage girl so therefore this isn't made for me. I'm not sure who this is made for. It's not for old people, it's not for young people, it's not for liberals, it's not for conservatives, it's not for people who like superheroes, or comedy, or good dialogue, or action scenes, storytelling, or character development.
I get it, all the characters have PTSD they haven't worked through and they all want to be the most famous superhero. And they're thirsty.
I'm a little confused by this choice in the portrayal of Tek Knight. I was looking forward to his appearance in The Boys, but now I don't think I care. The comics made him out to be more like Batman, and having a billionaire crime fighter without powers and a bunch of gadgets is arguably more entertaining than this guy. This guy isn't funny at all, but probably a lot cheaper to produce. The part they're keeping the same about him doesn't make sense when you change his relationship with technology. I know they changed some stuff around for The Boys, but they probably should have just made up a new character and given him a fetish that makes sense in this instance instead of appropriating Tek Knight. This is lazy writing and the writers' loose definition of the word "adaptation" ventures into Wheel of Time territory. Actually it gets worse the more I think about it (just like GenV!) because The Deep said something about convincing Tek Knight to go green in an episode of The Boys. Go green with what? He looks like he drives a Tesla to his job in middle management every day.
I don't understand the motivation behind the corporate entities. Like, why are they doing all of this besides "Because Vought"? I also don't understand why it's okay to show several dudes' junk but not topless women.
This episode is a slight improvement on the last one because it's not trying to be one of those shows/movies about high schoolers trying to win a dance contest or whatever, but it's not much of a- STEP UP. Get it?
GenV is pretty bad and I can't say I recommend it to anyone.
Teenage drama in a world of The Boys. This episode emphasizes that in a sense Gen V is still that teenage drama focusing on youngsters involved in a bigger problem that they can handle. But as a part of The Boys world those youngsters, as supes with impunity, come with their own selfishness, indifference, and cruelty - as shown with the scene of exploding dick (and the attempted assault that preceded it).
I think it's quite an interesting angle. Albeit the episode moves a little bit slowly with the teenage drama sequences, it still delivers The Boys typical uncertainty, anxiety, and... strange sex fetish. The ending is a very abrupt cliffhanger/jumphanger(?) though.
Most boring episode so far, despite that explosion.
Have they realized yet that Emma is the real star and Marie is so unlikable?
Emma's comedy reactions and acting are so much better.
man i freakin love this show!

This episode didn't captivate me as much as the other ones but damn that ending was unexpected
