The show originally even featured one-hour edits of such then-recent Disney films as Alice in Wonderland, and in other cases, telecasts of complete Disney films split into two or more one-hour episodes.Occasionally, a more educational segment, such as The Story of the Animated Drawing, would be featured.

In the opening episode of TV's longest running prime-time series, we're treated to a whirlwind tour of the Walt Disney Studios, and introduced to Walt Disney's newest venture -- a theme park called Disneyland. Future episodes are also previewed, as well as a little history on Disney's first sucess, Mickey Mouse. Three cartoons are featured: The ""Laughing Place"" segment from Song of the South (1946), Lonesome Ghosts (1937), and ""The Sorcerer's Apprentice"" from Fantasia (1940). This episode is featured on the ""Disneyland USA"" 2-disc DVD.

Alice, a young daydreaming girl, follows The White Rabbit down a long into an upside-down world known as Wonderland. Based on the works of Lewis Carroll, and first released theatrically in 1951.

It depicts the annual migration of fur seals from Alaska to their birthplace on the Pribilof Islands. Rex Allen is the narrator.

Along the way, Donald invades Walt's office to remind him ""...who the star really is"", and faces-off with his alter ego, Clarence ""Ducky"" Nash. (Or is that the other way around?)

Disney's first all live-action feature, based on the classic by Robert Louis Stevenson, is featured in this two-part episode. In part 1, young Jim Hawkins is given a treasure map by the dying Captain Billy Bones. The map details the location of the famed 'treasure island', named so for a mountain of treasure put there by the priate Flint. Hawkins sets sail aboard the Hispaniola as a cabin boy in search of the island. Also on board is a one-legged ship's cook, Long John Silver, who in reality, is the pirate who betrayed and murdered Flint in the first place.
