While I don't like the Opening theme, the actual score in this show is just a straight ten out of ten. The animation is great, and it's highly detailed, especially for a series. Guts' Theme and the battle theme used in this episode are respectively the most hauntingly pathos-evoking, and epically rousing themes in anything. They don't make them like this anymore.
