Almost the perfect marvel movie. Well worth the watch and many watches after that. Josh Brolin absolutely nails his role as Thanos.
Doesn't matter what happens in this, The Time Stone will fix everything in the second part lol

Just got back from the theater and I really just don't have words to describe how I'm feeling right now. I knew the movie would be amazing and all, but it was so much more. Marvel never ceases to mess with me and I'm pretty sure this movie broke me. Loved it. 10/10.
Wow the Russos actually did it. I can't believe this movie works as well as it does. The movie just breezed by, there is so much going on and it is paced so well. The action is great and the stakes are real. Thanos's plan is a dumb one but they do make him a well rounded character and he is one of the few villains to actually pull it off. There is a ton of humor but it also manages to be really emotional at times. It is going to be a long year but at least we get to see Captain Marvel in between.
EDIT: After seeing it again it still is amazing how well everything works. This is probably the darkest MCU movie so far but still is fun and has a ton of one liners. The humor is still fantastic and on GotG level. I just realized that it is the original Avengers team that is left to start Avengers 4. I expect most everyone that turned to ash to come back but not without sacrificing the original team.

I leave my reality meter at the door. But their does need to be credible story line and the fantasy does need to be believable continuity.
Seeing this Wakonda technology or Tony Stark's suit morphing into any nano-tech he (the script writers) decide to pull out of the backsides leaves me shaking my head now.
This thin superhero movie was probably the 2nd least favourite with Black Panther the clear winner in crappy superhero movies.

The movie is really great I love that unlike most marvel movies doesn’t have a joke every 3 minutes… Also it gets dark at sometimes but mixes well with previous movies like with Guardians…

This movie is the combination of every other MCU movie building up to a single epic masterpiece! Not a single second of wasted screentime, humor, action, tragedy and magnificent actors. Well done Marvel, well done! Insert applause here

I went to the cinema twice for this film and I cried a lot when I first went. Spider man made me very sad. The players were always of a Marvel quality, and we know and love most of the previous films. The film was beautifully tied, although it passed in different places. The Russo brothers made themselves known here. There was no word to say to Thanos. The images and the acting were perfect. Iron man and spiderman were very good at their new armor. The strombreaker was good as well. Some of the characters were few. Some were far ahead, and the movie was good overall. I hope we see more of Captain America

This movie (together with Endgame) killed the superhero movie genre. This movie was just too good. Every superhero movie after Infinity War feels bland, boring, empty. It feels like we've seen it all already. New superheroes show up, but they are more of the same, stuff that we have seen already.
RIP superhero movies. 2008-2018.
rewatched this one today and this movie it's quite well balanced between the storyline and a pinch of humor... although it can be extremely painful to watch (after wandavision) it's a good movie btw. In my opinion, it's better than endgame only bc of some endings that some characters had on the movie... I think ya'll know what I'm talking about
10/10 for sure... it's a good introduction and it's well connected with the previous movies.

So can you guys remind me how it works, just trying to understand the logic behind this:
Iron man throws a 50 story building on Hulk -> Hulk is feeling better then ever
Giant alien caterpillar trying to eat Hulk -> Hulk eats it instead
Some purple dude throws few MMA style punches -> Hulk doesn't feels so good
Isn't he suppose to replenish his energy by injuries? I mean... That is the whole idea behind the Hulk, what changed?

i never use words like masterpiece to describe any movie, let alone a comic book movie, but avengers infinity war is without a doubt, a masterpiece, and the russo brothers should be commended for what they have created here. jaw dropping from beginning to end, and an ending i never saw coming. i expected there to be deaths, but not on the scale we got. where does the MCU go from here? we won,t know that until after avengers 4 next year, and i for one can,t wait
A great job at what could have been a big mess. So many characters, such different tones in the worlds of the different heroes, such a big story arc to be told in one movie (Ok, the rest is to be told 26 April 2019, but they covered a lot of ground in this one). Things that caught my attention: great performances by all the cast, real stories interweaving the larger story, not just 3 minute cameos. Laugh out loud lines. A real threat demanding great cost. Spectacular success for the Russos in a Herculean endeavour. Just really well done! On a rewatch, I bump up my rating from 9 (superb) to 10 (I don't know how it could have been better) out of 10. I sit here wondering how far Strange was able to see as far as the one victory. Could he only see as far as he lived or could he see past his own demise.
It was an alright film
The expected mix of action, adventure and comedy. With a cast of approximately 38 major parts, it can be a whirlwind and frankly, a little nauseating and my main criticism of the film. I can't get into much with out spoiler territory, but I would say to fully enjoy this movie, you should have seen most of the recent Marvel films (including Spider-Man: Homecoming) to get the most out of it. Sit back and enjoy. 8/10

Watched this again and appreciate even more that the filmmakers concluded this in such a dark fashion. I know it's just a "Part One", but still, its ending is a stunner.
Imagine for a moment, a future where Disney experiences financial difficulties and shuts down Marvel Studios, making this the last of the MCU films. This scenario would provide "Avengers: Infinity War" with the single most devastating and shocking ending in cinematic history.
I've been very critical of the lack of danger and consequences in Superhero movies. But not this time. This ending was dark. There was no snatching victory from the jaws of defeat to be had.
People in my theater sat in stunned silence as the credits rolled. I gleefully laughed. Finally, a tent-pole movie with balls.
Unfortunately, it's not really an ending. If it were, I guarantee people would never stop talking about it. But nothing popular ever ends because companies can sell more tickets, toys and ads.
I'm rating this higher than it deserves and pretending for now that this is the last MCU movie.
This was the Marvel movie I was anticipating the most and the one that would either make or break the franchise for me. I wasn't really impressed, to say it friendly, with the last ones.
Leave it to the Russos to put the ship back on course as they already delivered the best movies in the MCU. There are a few things I didn't like. F.e. Spiderman in general and even less so with this new suit and some of the humor is still too much. They even put Banner in a suit now bacuase the Hulk doesn't want to show up. Anyway, that is my personal opinion. It's amazing what they pulled off here giving all those characters some place.
I am a bit concerned about the conclusion of this story because I think it's fair to say that most, if not all, of our heroes will be back. It would be just to many movies, and money, not made. I hope that will be done in a way that is not too, how shall I put it, Hollywood.

OMG this series is played out! Robert Downey played Iron Man well one time, the first iron man movie! This is just sad as to what this has become. OH YEAH, the rest of Hollywood realized that Chris Evans overplays EVERY role he is in and doesn't cast him in anything decent anymore, but Marvel just ignores that apparently. Thank god DC puts more thought into their movies and the only mistake they have made so far is Ben Affleck!

Well that was a traumatizing experience. Do you know how it felt like being punched in the gut by every strangers passing, that’s how that felt. How could they do that to us. Also we still have to wait one whole fucking year to find out what’s going to happen next.

Still love this movie... but the one thing that really bothers me: Wong cuts of the arm of one of Thanos' sycophants by making a portal... why not just do that to Thanos himself? Cut of the arm with the glove and be done with it.

With a slow bellow, I exert a sigh of incredulity.....and I shall be quoted:
"Avengers: Infinity War is the greatest Super Hero movie ever made."
Perfect storytelling guided me into a maze I could master, and with my jaw agape, and I came to know the genius that is Marvel Studios.
The Hulk refuses to appear, Thor is eyeless and Hammerless, The Iron Spider is introduced in the blink of an eye with a finesse only Tony Stark can deliver, Doctor Strange gets beat down, Star Lord let's his emotions get in the way and Thanos......Thanos is humanized, and you like him. Absurd! He is not the anti-hero! But isn't he? His mission is clearly defined and you may have an inkling for him to achieve it. He is the Ultimate Avenger and is virtually unstoppable.
Of all the things I will anticipate in 2019, AIW 2 is number one.

Being a marvel fan, Im speechless. After a while im watching a movie with so much of fun and non stop action! If the movie was 5 hours, it wouldnt have been enough for me! I hardly do this, but this movie is a perfect10 for me! Cant wait for the next! 10/10

Too much brainless action but still a solid movie. Don't expect some kind of complex or engaging story, it's a Marvel movie.
A Guardians of the Galaxy film is not the same style as an Iron Man film which has a different feel than a Doctor Strange film and a different look than a Thor film... In Infinity War when they talk about a clash of super heroes, they mean 'clash' in the sense of a bloke wearing sandals, white socks, black trousers and a plaid sports coat. There's nothing wrong with any of those styles, it's just that they don't necessarily go well together.
My other issue with Infinity War is the conflict... A being who states he wants to create balance in the universe so he has to kill half of every living thing? WTF!? That the plot of a movie of this stature could be based on a logical fallacy of that magnitude borders on the absurd and spills over into the ridiculous.
Apart from those issues, we have a Marvel movie which is better than most. Exposition isn't excessive, there are more than one laugh out loud jokes and the action, while not revolutionary, is entertaining. The Avengers have arrived and they do not disappoint.

What a load of hype over a mediocre film. Bloated, over-wrought and ultimately pointless as you know they’re just going to bring back all the victims of Thanos’ snap in the next film.. So many characters made absolutely moronic decisions that I started to think maybe Thanos was right.
This simply should not have worked.
Avengers: Infinity War is one of the most ambitious films in cinema history. I have so much respect for the Russo brothers for managing to make a film with this many characters and this many plot points feels cohesive and endlessly entertaining. I think the real triumph of Infinity War is how watchable and fun this movie is despite being 2 1/2 hours long, full of characters and constantly hitting you in the face with really depressing stuff. Let’s hope that the Russo brothers can pull of the same trick twice.

I wanted to like it a lot. There was nifty interplay between the Marvel storylines, but no emotional hooks whatsoever, and the consequences are still to be seen.

Somehow this one blew all of the other Marvel movies out of the water. They gave nearly every character meaningful parts while still crafting a compelling story. It's 2.5 hours long but I wanted to watch it again immediately after it finished.
Not as fun as the first Avengers, the first Guardians of the Galaxy or even Thor: Ragnarok. The action is not as good as in Winter Soldier or Civil War. Despite that, I think Infinity War is a really good movie, after ten years in the making, it did not disappoint. Time went really fast! I think they could hardly do better. The fact that there are so many important characters and the movie is so fast going from scene to scene. It is one of Marvel's best for sure and a must watch for any movie goer, even more if you are a Marvel fan.
My only cons are the acting that sometimes is not the best, and the unnecessary comedy that is there for no reason in certain scenes. I really liked how the villain was portrayed though.

Predictable Storie. Stupid sayings. A whiny spiderman. The Deaths will be undone. Thanos motivations to destroy the half Universe are implausible.

Loved this movie. This was one of the first Marvel movies where I felt that there were actual stakes. The performances were top notch as always. If nothing else, you have to atleast appreciate the unprecedented scale of this movie.

I suspect we won't know much on those until the releases of Captain Marvel and Avengers 4.

damn. that was a riot, Jesus. I didn't expect this movie to be the way that it is. It was a long movie but it felt so short (especially because of the ending). This film was more serious but it was still light hearted in a way. I really enjoyed seeing all the characters come together and fight. I really liked the movie because I got to see all my favourite heroes be badasses( haha ya boi Thor killed it). But anyways, this was 7/8 on my marvel movie binge, and damnnn... I don't know what to expect for end game. Finished this one at 10:15PM boissss.
Ok, now I see the problem with giving a 10 to everything I really enjoy. I need at least an 11 for this.. :D Time to start giving more 9s, otherwise it won't be possible to rate movies like Infinity War.
What should I say.. A giant collaboration of almost every single character we saw until now. And in the end almost nothing is left. The good thing is: I never watched the Marvel movies until about 2 months earlier with bigger pauses – so I'm in a position where I know that Endgame is released. So hopefully something with Thanos' plan went wrong or at least not the way he wanted. :D

I guess there isn’t really much point in reviewing an Avengers movie, any plot details could be considered spoilers and as a reviewer you have to walk to egg shells so that you don’t give anything anything away. That being said I do want to give a strong recommendation to Infinity War for any fans of this franchise, it’s funny it’s heartfelt and it go’s to some unexpected places. Despite a couple of moments when a character says or does something a little out of character for them and some hard to follow moments of action this is a great movie.
Also Edinburgh looks beautiful in it.
Another overrated comic book movie
EXCELLENT movie. I give almost zero movies/shows a 10; this one got it out of me. Well, technically it'd be a 9.5 (I mean, you had years, and 2.5 hrs. and couldn't come up with a better ending? The movie ended exactly like all the heroes; just vanished. It's like they just ran out of production money and poof, movies over!) but it was close enough so I gave up the last 0.5 anyway.
The best movie ever if you're a marvels fanatic !!! Week every time I saw a new villain or superhero that are my faves I was excited and giddy. My boyfriend is a marvels junkie too. Lol he smiled at me every time I shrieked, until this his arch enemy Thor came onscreen

I may change my mind about this on subsequent viewings, but I can't help but be incredibly impressed. The film's an amazing culmination of years of work, and any minor complaints I may have feel insignificant next to everything it does so phenomenally well.
This movies was full of fun scenes, a lot of drama and suspense. This was an amazing movie. I'm still shock of how things ended for everyone but hey, there is a second part to fix what Thanos did.
Gamora broke my heart. She did an amazing job. Thor crying was so hard to watch!! Dr. Strange saving Iron man was incredible.
All of those amazing heros fighting together in Wakanda was one of the coolest thing I ever saw.
I'm so excited to see the other part. Marvel did good with this movie.
I can't believe 10 years has pass since the beginning. Let's keep enjoying all of those incredible histories.

Wow! I saw it in IMAX 3D and it was definitely worth the money.
It is really amazing! It started with a lot of action right off the bat. It has all the emotions. It will make you laugh. It will make you cry. It will even make you proud after certain scenes. And lots of good placed jokes.
What surprised me the most is the story behind Thanos and his reasoning for doing what he's doing. Strangely there were moments when I sympathized with his character. There was depth to this character, not just a bad ass who kills left or right and you have no idea why.
Holy jebebus! ... that can't be the end of the movie.

this is a masterpiece throughout. its every frame will leave you in awe.
each of the massive number of characters is NEVER underused.
the comedy is outstanding.
and for any comic book movie lover or action lover there are moments that will be stamped in your head forever.
The doctor strange action moments truly outshine everyone (im a dr. strange fanboy but still i believe so)
