very good movie, Franco did it right this time!
The Arm cutting was horrible and unwatchable.....!
Everything was perfect, the shooting, the acting, the plot were all near perfect to us.

Very Inspiring.
I watched this movie because I couldn't understand how a 90 minute movie about a guy being stuck in a canyon could get such good reviews. To me, it sounded really boring. And honestly, there are some boring bits, but overall they did a really good job making it interesting. Some scenes are incredibly intense, I almost had to look away in agony. The power of this movie lies in the creative portrayal of how a hopeless situation can drive someone crazy and the places an individual can find strength and hope.
Great filmmaking, nice shots of canyons, great actor, great story about hope and the will to survive, but it's just too intense for my taste. I just hope nobody ever gets into a situation like this again, it must be truly terrifying..
Harrowing film, knowing it’s true makes it all the more unnerving! This guy was so brave!
I love good movies that take place in one spot. Phone booth. Buried. This. When done properly with great acting, it's my favourite. The fact that this is a true story (and James Franco actually watched the original tapes nobody else got to see) makes it so much better. What an incredible man this Aron is. I wouldn't be able to do what he did. I would've died there. I can't get over it. It's one of my favourite movies.
Skipped most of the memories and flashbacks, it was mostly pointless filling material, since just seeing him get stuck and then cut off his arm would make only a 20 minute movie.
I cannot recommend 127 Hours enough. The film is harrowingly intense. And the one scene near the end (around 1:14:00) is not for the squeamish.
Great performance by Franco, but the movie is not as powerful as I expected.
James is a hell of an actor. Loved this movie, amazing and intense!
What a torture watch this movie!
Basically, the whole time I was waiting for him to chop off his hand, then when that time came, I couldn't watch.
it shows what a human being could do to survive , I liked it
127 Hours (2010)
Aron Ralston: You know, I've been thinking. Everything is... just comes together. It's me. I chose this. I chose all of this. This rock... this rock has been waiting for me my entire life. In its entire life, ever since it was a bit of meteorite a million, billion years ago up there In space. It's been waiting, to come here. Right, right here. I've been moving towards it my entire life. The minute I was born, every breath I've taken, every action has been leading me to this crack on the earth's surface.

Danny Boyle's 127 Hours does so much with so little. James Franco stars as Aron Ralston and he's so good that you don't mind watching his face for 70 minutes. It even has one of the most unsettling scenes I've ever seen and I love me some gore. The way Danny Boyle filmed the arm cutting scene is horrific. But it might also feel more horrific because we just spent 70 minutes with Franco down in the hole.
127 Hours is a must watch and the best film of James Franco's career.
What a difficult movie this must have been to film. Cheers to Danny Boyle for managing to create a film that feels open and energetic despite being filmed almost entirely in one location with one actor. His hyperkinetic camera style that you see in Trainspotting and 28 Days Later maintains the illusion of movement and dynamism even when the subject of the movie is quite literally pinned to one spot. I recall being impressed by A.R. Rahman’s score as well as the sound production as a whole. When Franco begins to cut and hits that first nerve, the sound effect in the theater just about knocked me out of my seat.
It has a somewhat slow plot that would make more than one flee, but it still has very intense scenes and moments that will make you reflect.
Saw with spoiler. Nothing but the end.
It’s very good, mostly carried by James Franco’s fantastic performance and the tension/horror.
The directing and editing are generally atmospheric and well done, though not all choices have aged as well. It can at times thread the line between being stylish and amateurish.
I also wish there was another interesting character besides Aron, which they could’ve done by fleshing out some of the people in the hallucinations a bit more.
But still, this is good and interesting all throughout, great use of sound during the climax and I love the dry guitar riff that plays throughout the film.
7.5/10
"I'm in pretty deep doodoo here."
I never expected to really like this movie this much, but the Danny Boyle and James Franco combo was fantastic. Being trapped and having to make a hard survival decision is a fear of mine, and it is portrayed in such a sad but beautiful way in this film.

A completely cathartic life-or-death experience.
A completely cathartic life-or-death experience.
great list of soundtrack.the picture editing quite interesting.can't believe didn't make any single Oscars.
great acting by Franco, great cinematography and sounddesign. although I feel as if this would've worked better as a shortfilm..
James Franco did brilliant in this movie, Such an amazing movie and so inspiring. You should truly watch it. I love it!
Intense but blissfully light on the existential angst I was expecting to accompany it all.
absolutely amazing movie. I highly recommend it !
Yet another excellent Danny Boyle movie. Sunshine is still my favorite.
what spoiler, it's a true story, that made major news.
movie was filmed buetifully, Franco did an amazing job of the roll. they portrayed the physical and physcological stress of the whole situation quite well.
got to make sure you take your spot tracker with you always (love to see if it would work in that terrain).
Good movie, very nice images and shots. I watched the HD version.
You might wanna remove the spoiler for those who haven't watched the movie.
Nice images of the canyons.
Overall good movie but with a boring moments, the arm cutting scene was quite intense.

It's interesting the way this movie holds your attention, really hard 127 hours that the real climber faced. Very good acting from James Franco. I recommend watching this movie, I really liked it.
