Seth Rogen is horribly miscast here. Aside from that, this is excellent.
There's a fine line between profound and silly which is very tricky to pull off, and KFP does it nearly perfectly. It's funny and action-packed, with beautiful animation and dynamic camerawork (despite some occasionally dated CGI). The voice cast is impeccable (aside from Mantis), and the score really helps ground the movie in its setting. Add to that a simple, heartwarming story and you've got all the ingredients for my secret ingredient movie!
