The tagline 'What a Glorious Feeling' really sums it up for me. This is the movie that got me to realize, as a young teen, that every old movie wasn't boring (something I would continue to experience the more old movies I saw).
My only complaint is that there's a musical number that far overstays its welcome, but even so, they make a joke about it afterwards, so it's not tainted in my mind. It's genuinely funny, the songs are a blast, and the characters and situations they put themselves into are entertaining. Plus, the setting is really interesting.
