The A-plot with Jake is stupid. I like that you see him again doing whatever writers do, but that muse milf story is bad. It runs in the family. Second sight was also extraordinarily bad. The genre of mystery-romances (of you'd call this a romance) is difficult. Look no further than TNG's worst episode Sub Rosa. The A-plot is an 4/10 max.
The B-plot with Lwxana is much better although it's also a story about love. Some hate her; some like her. But you must admit that she isn't annoyingly flamboyant or loquacious in this episode. Her interactions with Odo are actually quite sweet. There's even a feminist/ children's rights core to it. That's certainly not the main part of this story but it makes sense that a justice living man like Odo takes this issue very seriously. I like the wedding. Alien wedding ceremonies are often great in Star Trek. And Odo's speech is awesome.
PS: why didn't Worf do his job? He's the one who is supposed to deliver every baby in DS9.
