Things I loved:

Ash Tyler. I liked him in the first season and I liked his arc here. Plus, bearded, long-haired Shazad Latif is extremely very attractive. Ooof fans self

Terran Georgiou. If there was a laugh to be had, usually she was the one providing it. Plus she was a total badarse.

Tilly. Loved her in the first season, continued to love her in the second season.

Things I didn't love:

Basically everything, and everyone, else. I don't mind Burnham as a protagonist, but everyone is so...moral and righteous. Especially Pike, to the point where he became almost laughably naive for an experienced starship captain.

Most of the ensemble cast was not given any character development, and yet the show tried to pull off these big emotional scenes with them that just ended up falling flat, because I didn't know them from a bar of soap.

The plot made zero sense.

Burnham and Spock kept having all these long, lingering looks that screamed pent up sexual tension, but then would call each other brother and sister and it was weird. Plus, the fact that they hadn't been talking for years despite Burnham reaching out and trying to apologise also made zero sense. That whole dynamic was off to me. Like, she storms off and calls him a freak when she's what, twelve? Are you telling me that they were then raised in the same house for years afterwards and the mother had no idea what was going on? She didn't notice her seven (?) year old not speaking to his adopted to sister? They never worked through it, and Spock remained angry with her right up until now? Wtf?

Season 1 had a rocky start, but I remember enjoying it quite a lot. This was just an incoherent mess. But, at least there was Bearded Ash Tyler. Did I mention how attractive he was?
