Season 10 of The Walking Dead will now end with episode 15 and the real season finale (episode 16) will air later in the year as a special since the coronavirus pandemic prevented post-production from being completed.

Also, AMC will be offering the first eight episodes of Season 10 for free on AMC.com and the AMC app after the April 5 episode through May 1, 2020.

@poncey What crap, someone could've post-produced it from home.

@poncey what I don’t get is how all the other post-production was already done before scheduled air times but not the finale? We should have seen other delays if that was truly the case. Plus, post isn’t like filming; it can all be done remotely. Doubleplus, post should have started as soon as filming ended and most should have been done before US quarantines were even being enacted.

Doubleplusplus, there’s been almost the same amount of time between episode 15 and my post, if not more, than there was between the mid season finale (ep 8) and the mid season premiere (ep 9).

I’m with @paulvincent83 on this. There’s some funky bs going on somewhere here, and they’re using corona as a convenient lie to cover up the real reason. No other shows have seemed to have this unique issue of publishing an unfinished product (re: full season minus finale) with such an excuse. The worst I’ve seen is additional audio languages not being available at release, but the content is still there and able to be consumed.

There might be a bigger uproar if the show was still worth anything lol
