This is a great first episode to a great show. I remember watching this for the first time and when Lester hits his wife in the head with the hammer I sat up and was just staring at the screen thinking it was all in his head but no it happened. The scene at the end with Billy Bob Thornton and Colin Hanks was great. That was definitely not a road he wanted to go down. Also I loved the white russian special on the wall of the diner, a reference to another great Coen brothers movie The Big Lebowski.
