the characters used to be quirky and funny, but now they don't even seem people. The whole episode was basically: girlfriend stereotypes (like relationship problems and even the spa thing), boyfriend stereotypes (the not-even-trying thing and the "cluelessness"), nerd/engineer stereotypes (coming up with a complicated solution for a simple problem). Like all stereotypes, some people fit in them but most people don't and to watch a show where every single character has become one it's sad and boring. They don't even have personalities anymore, they're just an empty shell. PS. Bernadette had a tiny strong girl with a slight "evil scientist" side that I loved.... now she's just a mom... nothing more.
