Star Trek: Discovery 2017

@genetai I don't know. Did you see the CGI in the teaser trailer? I think they hired some people from Syfy to make that.

@myndflyte32 I'm not too worried about that, in my opinion it didn't look that bad. If I can live with the CGI in The Flash then I'm sure I can live with this :)

I'm more worried about them making this into a "freak of the week" show where they just stumble through space and encounter random things without a proper main story line. Hardcore fanboys will hate it no matter what because the old format won't work in today's market and "regular" people will expect the near constant action from the movies because of the name (which it will definitely not have because it's a TV show) so it has to be a good thrilling space action adventure that just happens to be in the Star Trek universe instead of being THE STAR TREK SHOW.

But we'll see, not much proper footage available just yet so I'm still hopeful for now ;)

@genetai It's what fans of Trek in general have been thinking since the dark days of pre-Manny Coto Enterprise. I'd kill for DS9 levels of storytelling but I'll settle for TNG S01 quality. As long as it nukes the whole Kelvin-timeline fiasco I'm a happy bunny. :)

@genetai When I first heard they are doing a new Trek show I was over the moon. When I read about it in the month following my enthusiasm somewhat deminished. It won´t be the Trek of old of that I´m certain. It still can be good.

@genetai Finally got round to actually watching it all. It doesn't not suck Season two is off to a great start.
