The animation quality in this episode is subpar and not up to the standard of the previous ones. Let’s hope the next episode improves, but I’m feeling a bit disappointed.
One of the worst shows I have ever watched. It's set in -10,000 BC, yet the characters inexplicably have pristine clothes, flawless makeup, and perfectly styled hair, not to mention the men sporting immaculately trimmed beards. The most amusing part is that whenever the 'main' character speaks, they always seem to have a wind machine conveniently blowing their hair, reminiscent of a L'Oréal ad.
The concept of using poker as a basis for supernatural powers is an interesting and unique idea. However, the execution falls short of expectations. The plot is predictable and riddled with inconsistencies, which can be frustrating for viewers who want to become invested in the story.
The characters, too, can be lacking in depth and development. While Finn's sniping abilities are impressive, it's difficult to suspend disbelief when he suddenly can't hit a target at point-blank range. This inconsistency takes away from the credibility of the characters and the world they inhabit.
Despite these shortcomings, there are some positives to HIGH CARD. The animation is fluid and vibrant, with attention paid to small details that make the world feel alive. The music score is also noteworthy, adding to the overall atmosphere of the show.
While HIGH CARD may not be groundbreaking in terms of its plot or character development, it still manages to be an enjoyable watch for those who appreciate action and supernatural elements. It's not without its flaws, but it has enough positive aspects to make it worth a watch.
In/Spectre is a hidden gem that is not to be missed. This anime is a breath of fresh air with its unique storyline and compelling characters. The main character Kotoko's deductive abilities are a highlight of the show, as her insights and observations keep the audience engaged and on the edge of their seats.
One of the things that sets In/Spectre apart is its ability to blend elements of both the supernatural and the mystery genres in a seamless and organic way. This combination creates a sense of unpredictability and keeps the audience guessing until the very end.
The animation and cinematography are top-notch, with stunning visuals that enhance the story's emotional impact. The music is also noteworthy, perfectly complementing the tone and mood of each scene.
Overall, In/Spectre is a must-watch for fans of the mystery and supernatural genres. The show is a compelling and refreshing addition to the anime world, and it's easy to see why I am already hoping for a second season. With its engaging characters, clever plot twists, and beautiful animation, In/Spectre is a true masterpiece that is not to be missed.
At first glance, Aggretsuko may seem like a show that's geared towards children. After all, its cute and colorful characters wouldn't look out of place on a lunchbox or backpack. But once you start watching, it quickly becomes clear that this is a show for adults. In fact, the themes that Aggretsuko explores are some of the most relatable and universal experiences that we go through as grown-ups.
Work, work relationships, love interests, and everyday life are all given a hilarious and often poignant treatment in this show. Whether you're dealing with a difficult boss, navigating office politics, or just trying to make ends meet, there's something in Aggretsuko that you'll be able to relate to.
But it's not just the relatable themes that make this show so great. It's also the characters themselves. Retsuko, the show's main character, is a charming and relatable protagonist. Her struggles with anger management and her attempts to navigate the complexities of adulthood are both hilarious and heartwarming.
And then there's the humor. Aggretsuko is non-stop laughing from start to finish. The show is packed with witty one-liners, hilarious situations, and relatable jokes that will have you chuckling long after the credits roll.
Of course, it's impossible to talk about Aggretsuko without mentioning the show's design. Despite its seemingly childlike aesthetic, the animation is top-notch, with vibrant colors, expressive character designs, and fluid movement that bring the show's world to life.
Overall, I would say that Aggretsuko is a show that everyone should check out, regardless of age. It's a relatable, hilarious, and heartwarming look at the struggles of adulthood, and it's impossible not to be charmed by its lovable cast of characters. So if you're looking for a show that's equal parts funny and heartwarming, Aggretsuko is definitely worth a watch!
When Shadow and Bone first debuted on Netflix, I have to admit I was a bit underwhelmed. The acting felt lackluster, the plot was predictable, and the cheese factor was off the charts. But with the release of the show's second season, I'm happy to report that things have taken a turn for the better.
One of the biggest improvements can be seen in the acting. The cast seems to have found their footing, delivering more nuanced and compelling performances across the board. It's a welcome change that goes a long way in making the show more engaging and enjoyable to watch.
Another area where Shadow and Bone has improved is in its lore. The second season delves deeper into the world-building, introducing new characters and concepts that add depth and complexity to the story. This expanded mythology not only makes the show more interesting but also creates more opportunities for compelling storytelling.
Of course, it's impossible to talk about Shadow and Bone without mentioning the show's LGBTQ+ representation. Despite some unfortunate instances of homophobia in certain comments, I found the queer relationships to be a refreshing addition to the show. In particular, the romance between Jesper and Waylan was a highlight for me, adding a layer of depth and emotion to the story that was missing in the first season.
While the show is still a bit cheesy at times, it's important to note that this is part of the appeal. There's a certain campiness to Shadow and Bone that makes it feel like a guilty pleasure, something to indulge in when you're in the mood for something a little over the top.
Overall, I would say that Shadow and Bone's second season is a vast improvement over its predecessor. With better acting, improved lore, and compelling queer representation, it's a show that's worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of fantasy and adventure.
Boring, was doing my nails while "wathcing this", so really got 1/4 of all the show, still managed to understand every thing. It's a dumb anime... And Vermail got the power to shrink or inflate her breast at will .
Mel Brooks has a talent for blending humor and history, but unfortunately, this time around, it seems like he missed the mark. The lack of a cohesive structure with the out of order sequences seems more like a desperate attempt at humor rather than a clever way to tell a story. It's a shame because the film has so much potential.
The jokes feel stale and often fall flat, leaving the audience with a forced smile instead of a genuine laugh. And while there are a few moments where the humor is on point, they are few and far between.
One of the biggest issues with the film is its lack of direction. It seems like Brooks was trying to cram too many ideas and jokes into the film without a clear idea of how to tie them all together. As a result, the pacing is all over the place, making it difficult to stay engaged.
It's disappointing to see such a talented cast go to waste in this film. The performances are lackluster, and the characters feel underdeveloped. With a little more time and effort, the characters could have been something special.
Overall, "History of the World, Part II" is a missed opportunity. While it has its moments, they are too few and far between to make it worth recommending. It's a shame because there was so much potential for a clever and entertaining film. But, unfortunately, it falls short.
It's a show to watch when you're doing something else... I made dinner at the same time of the 1st episode of season 2, didn't hear and see half the episode still managed too understand everything... The plot is thin as a piece of toilet paper....
Very good storytelling, good actors, and a good story about love. The only negative point is that they depict sex as only fucking, whereas there are many other activities involved in sex ;).
Bad story, bad character background explained, everyone dies and I don't give a f*ck !
This show is poorly written. There are characters that serve no purpose, such as the barber in the woods - a character who is never seen again. The first season was a pain to watch, with nothing really happening and no explanation in the end. The second season is slightly better, with better acting and more developed characters. However, it is not worth watching.
Well, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman (JBC) is not a good actor. He seems fake in all of his performances. Unfortunately, the plot is not bad, but JBC's poor acting ruins the entire movie.
It is always the same, not very innovative. Ichigo meets a powerful enemy, Ichigo loses, Ichigo gains power and becomes stronger, Ichigo wins, Ichigo meets a new and more powerful enemy, and so on. The new season is no different. And of course, it is always a teenager, Ichigo, who saves the day, even though the ancient Shinigami are not at his level. The Worst of this, it's the former Shinigami/Hollow who d'ont ever use their Hollow power. It's like everybody forget the power they have...
The acting is bad, the characters are stupid, the script is very poor, it's like a cartoon. I want to slap Bode's face so hard, this kid is so stupid and if he had died in the first season, none of the bad things would have happened. I can't believe this show is so well-regarded, it's really terrible. I wanted to watch the last season but it's just dumb!
The Purge: Anarchy delves into the concept of a night where all crime is legal and the government's role in allowing such a night to occur. The plot of the movie may be considered as mediocre, but the movie's commentary on the darker side of society and the depiction of the corrupt morality and perversion of the United States is thought-provoking and adds depth to the story. Despite the plot being formulaic, the movie's exploration of these themes make it an engaging watch.
The TV show "The Purge" is a mediocre attempt at exploring the concept of a night where all crime is legal. The story is not well-developed and the themes explored in the show are not original. It simply depicts the current state of the United States, with white men committing mass shootings, leaders being protected by any means necessary and the ultimate solution being to make war to boost the economy. However, the acting is good, but overall the show is not very good.
Boo, Bitch is a fast-paced and enjoyable show that will make you laugh a lot. Although it may not be a show that you will remember for years, it's definitely worth watching for a good time.
The Batman movie is a forgettable experience. Despite watching it, I don't remember much about the story, characters, or themes, which is a clear indication that it was not very good. Ultimately, the movie left no lasting impression, which is a sign of a subpar film.
Everything Everywhere All at Once is an epic film that is now my top favorite of all time. The movie's storytelling is masterful and the characters are so rich and complex that it keeps the audience engaged throughout the entire film. The film's themes, visuals and sound are all top-notch, making it a true cinematic experience. The film also explores the idea that ultimately nothing really matters, which is thought-provoking and adds depth to the story. Overall, this film is a masterpiece that should not be missed.
And remember: NOTHING MATTER!
I found Resident Evil TV show to be an enjoyable watch, although it may not be the greatest show of the year. I did not pay attention to the comments of the critics who said the show "destroyed the games etc." I liked it because it's a metagaming experience, it's not about the game but the story happening in between and after. My only regret is the casting, the actors are not bad but 14-year-old Jade and Billie and adult Jade and Billie do not look alike at all. Like for example, Jade's eyes are clearer and Billie became Asian.
This anime is understandable... Maybe I found one not well subbed, but all the awakening system, nebula, stars are not explained and you have to figure it out more or less...
"Stalker" is a movie that unfortunately failed to keep my attention. I found myself having to pause the film 11 times, as I fell asleep 15 minutes after starting to watch it. The only thing that I can remember about the movie is that the photography is good. However, the lack of engagement in the story, characters and pacing made it difficult for me to stay awake and interested. It may be appreciated by those who enjoy slow-paced, contemplative films that focus on atmosphere and visuals over action and plot, but for me, it was a boring experience. The only positive thing I can say about the movie is that it could be better than a sleeping pill, if you're looking for something to help you fall asleep.
"Ms. Marvel" is a TV show that is not bad, but not particularly good either. I appreciate that the main protagonist is not your typical cis white male, but it is very clear that the target audience is children. The writing is simplistic and not particularly intelligent. As it is a Disney show, it is to be expected that it would be geared towards a younger audience. However, for someone looking for a more complex and mature story, it may fall short.
The only Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) TV show that stood out to me in terms of its refreshing approach was WandaVision. The rest of the shows in the franchise, including Ms. Marvel, are mediocre in comparison.
It's not heartstopper, the plot is very simple but I liked it anyway. The only regret I have : I find the character not very well developped. hope too see more in season 2.
PS : At least a TV show where teenager have pimples...
The only good thing about this movie is Tom Holland shirtless.
I Can't say more than @fzirit already say. I didn't know who was La Veneno before this show, I cried, I laugh. It's well played, very emotional. Watching the show make me want to read the book.
I didn't read the graphic novel so can't really compare the two but the show is Well acted, well directed, I really love this show.
It's not a great show, but still watchable. I didn't like the Anime, too long for me and I didn't finish it. I like this show because, all the character are not all white as in the anime, the main cast is acting good. The only character not well played is vicious, he remind me Anakin Skywalker played by Hayden Christiansen : BAD OVERACTING !
Still shitty on season 3. Too much drama and full of non sense
