No idea what's going on, sue me for being dumb.
Really enjoying this, looking forward to the finale. Screw Ashley though, she wasn't a teamplayer on the bridge and that's fine but then own it instead of pretending Mai is wrong.
Amazing, intense episode. Knowing Buck was their leader and invincible, it makes a lot of sense Austin Butler seemed to be the lead for the whole series. The uncertainty of not knowing what happened makes it hard to believe he is dead. Can't believe only one plane made it out. Next week's episode seems to feature the death camps so will be intense.
Good opening and Ke Huy Quan is a fun addition but the 2 year wait makes it harder to get fully back into it for now.
I've anticipated this movie since at least 2014 and when COVID hit, I was sure the last chance for Indy V was gone. All this to say I've been EXTREMELY hyped for this movie. It had impossible expectations to fill in but, at least for me, it most definitely did.
The de-aged Harrison Ford looks AMAZING. I loved seeing Indy fight some nazis again and it really made it feel like the original movies.
Mads Mikkelsen is obviously an amazing actor.
I also loved seeing Indy in the '60s, I feel like they acknowledged his age without making too much fun of it.
The story was amazing. I'm a sucker for time-travelling and I didn't dare hoping he would actually travel in time. 2000 years at that. Ofcourse it would have even been cooler if he ended up at a time and location of the original trilogy but that's just me.
I feel kinda bad for Shia! And for the characters in general, losing a son must be the most devestating feeling in the world. Therefore I felt genuinely happy when we saw Marion and that they reconnected.
If rumours are to be believed, the ending was rewritten. So I'm not sure at all but it did feel like Indy really intended to stay in the past. I think he would have died quickly so he wouldn't really change the past. It would have been cool if he was the skeleton buried at Archimede's grave.
I'm not sure what those final moments were about, Indy (?) picking up his hat again?
The score might go down on a rewatch and I have small complaints. I didn't understand why Fleabag would lock Indy in with some stone cold killers.
For me it's a perfect Indiana Jones movie. It had everything I could wish for and I had 2,5 hours of fun!
After Inception, Interstellar, Dunkirk and Tenet, this is the first time coming out of a Nolan movie, not feeling amazed.
I expected a very different movie, maybe I avoided the trailers too much or they gave the wrong impression, but I was expecting a movie about the creation of the bomb and the emotional impact it made.
It would have a been a perfect ending to me, if it ended after the bombs dropped and the war ended. But then the movie continues for about an hour longer and it just didn't keep me interested all that much.
There were also a lot of unnecessary loud scenes that made me feel stressed in a way.
I didn't really care about the spy, if that's what happened then this is a great movie for history buffs but it made it feel like that was the most important thing in the movie and not the bomb itself.
Einstein felt like an MCU cameo and mentioning JFK made me expect a "JFK WILL RETURN" after the credits.
I still give it 4 stars cuz it's beautifully shot, seeing it in IMAX was amazing, the soundtrack is great, acting is good as ever and the story is interesting but it's overshadowed by the final hour that I couldn't really connect with.
One day I'll come back to this show and I'll understand it all but as it is now, I didn't care about the characters and found it very confusing to follow. Some fun scenes though.
I'm confused as to what's going on and a bit bored, but I did love them visiting the 19th century!
First time I watch a Doctor Who Christmas special on (around) Christmas, amazing feeling!
Ncuti's first episode was a lot of fun, the Doctor is living his best life after years of processing the past (following that theory at least) and Millie's first episode promises an interesting companion.
The musical number was a bit odd but I could dig it.
I saw a theory that Mrs. Flood could be River Song, that's too exciting to believe in right now.
I also wonder what the deal is with Ruby's parents, excited to find out. The trailer for the first season looks great and I'm very much looking forward to spring 2024.
The conclusion (for now) of Tennant's return, and I was a very happy fan the past 3 weeks.
Funniest moment must be "Well, that's alright then" when talking about the sorta dead companions hehe.
I have mixed feelings with the bi-generation. Excited to have more Tennant adventures but I also want Gatwa to be able to shine without Tennant popping back every year.
Gatwa's first appearance was promising and I'm excited for the christmas special in 2 weeks!!
ELVIS IS ALIVE F¨CK YEAH!!!! And next week's episode seem to be a little bit prison break!! . Interesting episode, was scared for Bucky's life!
Really gripping movie, eye-opening to see what those boys experienced and what I'm guessing a lot of people have experienced in real life.
I think this is a great addition to the Hunger Games universe. I read the book before the movie so it's hard not to compare them. I think the book did a better job at showing how jealous Snow is of Lucy Gray, it made him a much more interesting character than here. I found the book in general a bit more subtle.
Having said that, I still think it's a very interesting movie, I wasn't the biggest fan of part 3 in the book since it takes the pace down, but here I felt they went through that part quite fast.
Tom Blyth does an amazing job, especially towards the end when we see Snow going crazy. Jason Schwartzman as Flickerman was also a lot of fun. Josh Andrés Rivera as Sejanus was also great.
I also loved the music and the hanging tree segment.
All in all I really liked it and I'll rewatch it everytime I go back to the Hunger Games franchise!
This was fun! A great introduction for new fans, weird plot but that's very Doctor Who, big budget and interesting mystery about Ruby! So fun to follow this from the start and look back at this one day, like The Bad Wolf Arc from 2005.
Crazy and trippy episode, happy we got to see Wilf again.
I preferred last week's episode but I especially had fun with The Doctor and Donna trying to figure out who's the real one. I was convinced they'd let Donna die for a second there.
One more until we have to say goodbye to Tennant again (?) :(
A satisfactory ending, I'm happy we saw some of Walter White, Marie and Chuck. Saul left a legacy as seen amongst the prisoners and now he wants to pay the price.
An unexpected winner for me for Barbenheimer.
There is so much I loved about this movie. It's mainly much more emotional than I was expecting, making it a perfect balance with the comedy.
For me this movie is about growing up and seeing your children grow up. It reminded me of Boyhood at some point. Ofcourse it's mainly about womanhood and the idea of what it means to be a woman and the struggles along the way. As a guy I can't know what that feels like but the things this movie showed were very similar to things I've heard from my sisters and girlfriend.
So many great actors, seeing Ncuti Gatwa made me so excited for Doctor Who (also funny to see 3 actors from Sex Education) and Will Ferrell was hilarious. Mattel making fun of themselves was also fun.
The music was great, especially "I'm just Ken" with that amazing scene. Billie Eilish's song is very emotional, and it made me almost cry at the end.
And I loved the fourth wall breaking and the movie references!
The music was so annoying, and the Maestro wasn't an interesting villain :/
What a fun movie, I thought the story was original and I always love seeing movies being made inside a movie. Lots of funny moments, good music and great actors.
Jean-Claude is too cute :weary::weary::weary:
Also, I feel like it happens more that the actor and director say something to the audience before the movie starts in cinemas, I like that! Makes it feel like a lil event.
This movie hits perfect scores on all the technical aspects, I can only think in terms of superlatives when trying to describe the looks, sounds, acting, soundtrack,... in this movie.
But on a personal level, it's not completely my cup of tea. It was a bit overwhelming and complex to follow at times. I think I'll enjoy Part One more knowing what it leads up to, I'll probably enjoy Part Two more now that I know where the movie is going and after the third movie, I might love this franchise.
But for now it's not something I could easily rewatch, and that's a shame because I really wanted to love this movie. On the other hand, I always think in terms of rewatchability and maybe I shouldn't do that.
But I'll end positive, I think it's a highly interesting world, the final 30 orso minutes were epic and even though I found the movie a bit slow at times, I was never bored.
Horrible to see, very interesting.
Some scenes were too rushed but still loving this show! Is D-Day coming up? Horrible about the bait!
I can't believe Elvis is dead, I hope he isn't. I liked experiencing the disbelieve and uncertainty, never felt that way before. Beautiful music and so excited for the next episode.
RIP Lt. Curtis. Also in Flanders we speak Flemish and not French but in the preview for next episode I saw a Flemish actor so I'll assume this was a French speaking family.
Amazing battle scenes, intense and excited to see the story of escaping back to England.
What a fun movie, I'm sure I would have loved this as a kid. Catchy songs, visually pleasing, lots of funny and some beautiful emotional moments.
So weird to not advertise this as a musical though (at least not in the trailer I saw). Gives different expectations or might not encourage the right audience to watch this in cinemas.
Beautiful movie, love the intertwining storylines. Quite amazing how they fit so many stories and kept it interesting.
The scene with Emma Thompson breaks my heart everytime, and the soundtrack throughout the whole movie makes the experience 10 times more emotional.
I love love love the ending with Colin Firth.
Only little thing I noticed was so many fat jokes. It doesn't bother me per se but after 20 jokes it got a bit old.
Apart from that one little, obvious, tiny, little baby hiccup, I think this is a perfect movie, 4th year in a row I'm watching this one!
Expected a bit more from the finale and wanted to see more of the reunion but good show overall! I wonder if they can keep it up for a second season.
Amazing episode, great to see Tennant, loved the twist, the non binary was laughable (talking about the word, loved the transgender actor although she is playing a 15 year old).
This was beautiful! Seeing all those 2D and 3D characters together was like seeing my whole childhood nostalgia mixed with more recent classics.
Better than last week, loved the 70s setting, not as amazing as the first season just yet.
