A very unique show. The main character is very unlikable and it challenges the viewer on some big subjects that I have not seen before. Much like the police in this show, the viewer is given the question of "Did he cause this? How much is he to blame?" and in that it brings a reflection on how blame plays into Trauma and why men can find it very hard to come forward. I still don't know what my views are on this. I am not sure we have one in Western Society yet.
This is a very grey show. I cant say I enjoyed it apart from the acting which was extremely good at parts. I can say it has been stuck in my head and comes up a lot in conversation with people.
It has also turned into a news story which always makes things fun as you can understand the narratives being put forward.
It really does feel like I am in the same world as the games. Even the ragdoll effects seem to be in it. Great acting and the characters are starting to get fleshed out. This is so good for an Amazon show. I worried they would mess it up like they normally do.
It looks amazing. Better than I could hope for. It really does feel like it is in the Fallout universe unlike most TV shows from games do. Same humour and the same type of stories.
The episode is very short for something like this. I would have hoped for longer.
Overall it gets a 9 from me because it feels just how I hoped it would. Great acting and for a first episode I think it did a good job of setting up the characters. Very very happy as a old fan of Fallout.
I reall have enjoyed this show. This episode does a really good job of setting up the stage and feeling of the show. Everything feels pretty real and you understand the characters pretty good. The sound and camera work is inspired a lot by films like Midsommar and Hereditary in a major way (imo) with the background sounds playing a major role in keeping you on edge.
It is the best Horror show I have seen in awhile and I cant wait to see how it turns out.
This is a parody of Star Trek.
They ruin everything. Any show you love will eventually be sacrificed in a similar fashion.
Why I watch these I don't know. I must have something wrong with me.
Why are they ruining every franchise like this? Has some cult invaded Hollywood or is it Bodysnatchers? This is awful.
I enjoyed it, but it didn't really feel complete at all. So much missing and glossed over. Maybe it'd be better as a TV show.
Wish MJF was in it more too!
Maybe it was my expectations, but this show is the opposite of everything I expected from this. Slow, not much action, not much dialogue and what there is I find boring and predictable.
I see from the comments it's liked, I must be in the minority. I will give it a shot though and hopefully I'm wrong by the end.
What an awful PPV. When WWE is kicking your ass you know that the goals of AEW are falling apart. I'll keep watching, and hoping, but it's very difficult when I can see similar stuff at my local indie promotion.
One of the better PPVs in a while. Every match I think hit its point. definitely worth watching.
if this deals with the source of the virus I'm good... but it sounds like it's going to be a bit unbelievable. Fingers crossed it's good.
I'm pretty happy with this. I guess was hoping for some shocking twists but the matches were mostly great, especialy the Trio's match at the end. Seeing Miro back and hopefully being pushed is really good to see. hope we see different people on Collision. would like a brand split as don't think many people in AEW get a chance to be on TV.
I was not looking forward to this, but my daughter wanted to see it. The best part of the whole movie was the popcorn and that was pretty generic. Even my daughter who dragged me to this thought it was bad. 2 couples left the cinema during it and didn't come back. They were the lucky ones. :thumbsdown_tone1:
I looked forward to this. It feels like Disney or Netflix made this. The writing is very generic and didn't have the campness and magic of the originals. I'd even put this behind the reboot/remake. The casting just didn't work. The wokeness just pulled me out all the time because it just didn't fit.
Highly disappointed and a wasted opportunity.
I enjoyed this but it did go a bit too far with the homosexual bits. I'm a big fan of the books and i can accept the changes as the acting is done so well and they made it pretty good with a good story.
it's just that the homosexuality parts are way too much.
I'll stick with this but I hope it calms down.
This show sometimes feels more like an Anime and a trailer. So much feels way too perfect and surreal. I am not saying I don't like it because I do, but it's forgettable and I feel Kiefer Sutherland could be making a budget 24 here. He is basically Jack without the badge.
It was a nice ending. I think the standout was The Intern kid and I hope he's in the future episodes.
ok, this was a heavy dosage of nostalgia and in this case I'm ok with it. I hope that the next stage of Star Trek can learn from the mistakes of Season 1 and 2 and especially Discovery and give us something great. I am all out of nostalgia for now but this leaves me with hope for the first time in a very long time. Give this old fan something for me. I'm not the only one!
Raw is going like it used to be a few years back. It's just paint by numbers and extremely predictable. you can almost guess what will be where and who will be on at certain times.
The constant replays of things you have JUST seen moments before (I'm not talking reply moments from matches). This Bad Bunny stuff and treating him like he's an unstoppable wrestler that needs an army to take him down was just odd. I understand he's big outside of the West but I have no idea who he is outside of wrestling. In wrestling I just see him as a guy who does some jumps that look bad. I am sure any wrestler could run rings around him.
I did enjoy the Miz match. He was unpredictable and turned it into something different for once. Seth felt more like his old self which I do prefer. It was obvious who would win... but it was good.
The Cody and Brock part was a big step down for Cody. Just your generic bodyguards stopping everything and falling like batman extras. Cody is better than this.
I'm not sure I like Riddle with Kevin and Sammi. Riddle needs Randy back.
Trish being heel works for me, even though I think we all saw it coming before WM. She definitely isn't as good on the mic or in the ring as before... but it's good nonetheless. It's entertaining. I loved the line "Trish is nobody's sidekick" which is true. Next to Hayman it was the best promo.
The main event was pretty good. It was obvious who the winners would be due to the PPV already being booked. Rhea getting involved was pretty nice to see. She really is turning into a massive star. I didn't expect that LWO would come out. It makes an interesting angle as now the plan failed and we will see what Roman makes of this.
Overall it was a 6 for me. Trish and the main event standing out. Dominic just gets heat no matter what he does.
I'm currently only 3 episodes in and it's not too bad. Slow, but not in a bad way. My biggest compliment is Juliette Lewis. I was a fan, but she can't act anymore. She looks like she is medicated up and in a constant stare of shock.
Everyone is pretty good. 3 episodes in and I think I'm going to enjoy it. It's basically Lord of the Flies mixed with the IT movies from a few years ago, Lost and the nostalgia of the 90s.
I think it's been pretty obvious that Trish was turning since her return. Two belts and 3 people? Plus it's money. It was kinda lame with the botch hit on the back...
For missing so many people the show was good. I think Raw always does its best when the formula is broken and we see faces we rarely see in main matches.
We got what we asked for, the evolution of the story. Moff Gideon returns and it's a return filled with all the great Moff we have learned to love. Lots has been going on behind the scenes and we finally get some confirmations on what has been going on in the background and what plans they have been working on. We also got the Evolution of our favourite cute guy which I guess was expected with the leaks, but it really did make me smile. I wonder when it gets some upgrades and we see battle mode hit.
we're getting close to the end now and I really want... More. I feel like the story is moving slow and I'd love to get more.
I really like the Bo story. I feel like she has done a lot more this season than Din this season. At least it feels like that at the end of the season. Maybe that changes next episode?
My favourite part was the begging with the conversation between the Order. So much was learned here as they try to build to the new shows coming and the future movies in the timeline. Very nicely done and it also shows the ambition of Moff.
After the last fun episode that let a lot of us down in content. I really enjoyed this and I'm happy. I just wanted more...
I was in denial. I thought it was some cruel prank. Only until I saw his head and chest did I think it might be real, even, even then I was in denial.
A legendary episode of TV in general. Shocking in how raw it was and how you went along with the family. How easy it would have been to show this from Logan's point of view and have the generic death... even if it were dramatic. No, instead we went along with the ride and experienced it like they would have. Brutal. This deserves awards.
Now for the drama between the kids for the money and power. I'll miss Logan... but maybe he has tricks up his sleeve even in death...
I know all the hate this gets in the comments and I'm late to the party, but man I like this show! it's pretty unique in that we watch from the bad side... or at least we see them get evil. We watched a psychopath get born in this show.
I watched the show all in about 2 weeks and yeah, it got slow at times and way too many side storylines... I hated the Coco stuff but I hope that the story with his daughter continues.
This isn't SOA and it seems many people can't get over that hurt. Stop watching I say :unamused:
Excited to see how this ends. I can't see it going much longer.
As much as I've loved this season, I do find it extremely predictable and still falls prey to the issues of the other seasons. It's really odd because it gives so much nostalgia, but fails in doing it correctly and is filled with plot holes.
One new thing I loved was Captain Vadic. One of my favourite bad guys of Star Trek. I know she died but I hope somehow she comes back .
I also hope that this season isn't the end of the show. I didn't think I'd say this after the first few seasons, but I've smiled a lot here.
Not my type of episode, I was hoping for more lore and it continuing... but it was a fun episode for kids and light-hearted. Some nice cameos from Clone Wars which I enjoyed.
I understand that it's not for the majority of us older nerds, but it is definitely for the younger ones who also watch this show. I'm excited for the rest of the season.
what a way to end a WrestleMania. I'm sure most are just deflated now. I'm not tired of The Bloodline but seeing Cody win would have made it perfect.
Just feels like Vince is back.
So not hyped for Raw now. meh.
it's odd with the change to this show. it feels more low budget, but more raw. I think I prefer the older style but it's good. This one surprised me because I didn't like all the lineup, but I changed my mind.
Stacey most of all changed my opinion as I didn't think she should be in it. She entertained and boy did she make people stay tuned. Not the best in the ring but that doesn't make a HoF worthy person. Looking back at the Monday Night Wars I can't think of many people who aren't in the HoF that I think of from those times. She still looks amazing and if everything said about her is true she'd be a great person for WWE to keep around in some capacity.
Andy Kaufman is for me the most fantastic person to be in Wrestling. He understood it and is one of the most memorable stories from outside of WWE/WWF there ever had been. That story is probably more remembered today because of the effort and dedication he put into it. Many Celebrities should take a bit out of his dedication because he worked his ass off. Without a doubt he should be in HoF, I just wish he could have been around.
Muta is someone I'm not as big of a fan. I did like him in WCW and the mist always shocked me as a teenager... but he just wasn't someone I enjoyed above many others. I can totally understand why he deserves it, he is idolised by many. Ric being Ric managed as always to make it about him but should we expect anything more from him? I'm also surprised they allowed him on with all the allegations.
Tim White, not going to compare him to others like many have. He is one of the greatest ever and always will be. I just wish he could have been there. he deserved it and it upsets me that WWE are too late too often. I am not sure I agree with The APA being the people to induct him but I don't know too much about who he knew. I'd have expected The Undertaker and The Godfather or Stone Cold. I'm sure they'd have done it.
Rey Mysterio Jr is obviously deserving of being in the HoF. A true legend that has surpassed everything I think anyone would have expected. He truly became an action star and on par with the greatest names in wrestling. I am surprised they put him in now as normally it's on retirement from WWE that it happens, but he's active and in a top storyline with his son.
I can't think of anyone but Hulk Hogan who became a star that kids just automatically like and idolise. He just looked like an action figure in his movements and presence. He has never really been one of my favourites because I'm more of a serious wrestling fan, but I've watched him for so long now that it'd be impossible not to look back and enjoy his career. So many epic storylines that are still relevant today. it's crazy that he's 48 years old and still active and in the top storylines of WWE. He is definitely banged up and can't do what he used to do, but what he can do he does like no other.
Konnan inducting him is perfect and I'm so happy WWE allowed it. I don't think we'd have Rey without Konnan and I wish he was in WWE because he can do so much.
overall it was great. maybe too much backstage stuff at the beginning and way too many adverts for WM... it'd definitely put me off if I were watching live. Luckily I wasn't so all was good. I think I'd prefer the Black and gold stage to this new style though.
enjoyed it and was happy with everyone in this year.
I'm not saying I dislike this show, because I'm hooked... but it's very unbelievable. Written more like a stage play at times. The characters feel like something from an anime with how over-the-top they are. The only person that doesn't seem so over-the-top is Kiefer Sutherland but obviously he has some crazy untold stories going on. maybe this show is using the title more closely and this is some Alice tumbling down some Matrix Rabbit Hole or something? I'm not a fan of this Hailey character as she just seems like a poorly written character there for some comedy and romance, maybe some manipulation too.
a pretty good start. I know everyone will compare it to SoA but it's not SoA. overall this is extremely good with top tier acting and a good cast. It has less character building in this season, but the ones it does have are done great. I love that it's based around an informer as it'll be very different from SoA. My favourite actor is Edward James Olmos who is yet again perfect. His story alone is worth watching for. I am only one season in but very happy and I hope it continues to get better. Definitely recommend!
a really good episode and a fantastic direction for the show. I like the darker tone and deeper lore. lots to unpack here and a season 3 looks like it's going to be a crazy ride.
I did get slightly annoyed with Omega but I did with the whole Squad. overall though, it's a great show. I hope for less filler next season. :thumbsup_tone1:
