If you're looking for an action and "turn brain off now" film, just don't watch it and spare us the 6-7 hearts review.
I for one, am very tired from 500$m crap like Indi Day and Marvel's poop. So I was very excited to watch this one.
This one is more like Spielberg's Encounters from the Third Kind. It's more about the characters in the film and the amazing journey they go through. It's mostly about the human behavior that will make you think.
While it's not an End of the World aliens movie like Battle: Los Angeles, it still offers great amount of military presence and plenty of stuff that's going on.
So if you actually want to care about an intelligent movie and use your head - go. Otherwise, go watch an X men.
Highly recommended for some audience 10/10.

Watching again at July-2023, excited towards Dune II : Excellent. Excellent film. So called plot-holes listed here are negligible when the overall product is really thoughtful and masterfully crafted.
overall impression: bullshit hollywood movie (i.e same crap like marvel, DC).

This movie will be enjoyed best by 13-16 year old boys. Its a children's movie.
Its 100m$ on CGI and 1000$ on script and story. You can guess the whole movie from the first 5 minutes, it has all the worst used up cliche's in the book.
The first movie made much more sense from the actions the characters took. Here, they're all idiots (humans and aliens).
If you choose to watch it, expect only normal level of GFX and nothing else. If you're looking for gripping storytale - move along sir, nothing to see here.

What, season finale already??? nooo!! this season was (is) so good, man!
This show makes you feel like you're sitting in a theater, watching a play. It feels all warm and cozy, though the characters and dialogs are depressed and disturbed. Its funny in an unfunny way, sophisticated in a layman's way, and plainly unpretentious.
Highly recommended.
I'm sorry but Terenzio should have seen Saw 1 to understand what is determination.

How relevant has this movie has become now eh?? After watching it again now (first time on release date), man this is almost exactly what's going on out there!
They try to mimic the atmosphere of Blade runner and Total recall, so you get action and effects. But i really didn't get the story and the motives of the character, and some things don't really make sense to me.
Watch it once if you have nothing else to watch, but don't get your hopes high.
7/10 for me.
i cant stand watching this ep.. simply nerve wrecking. we just know things will go from worst to hell.
I loved this movie.
It has just the enough amount of action for - not the have the whole movie revolve around it, and still enjoy great guns, gunning, and sniper rifles.
The movie had no "comic" (AKA Idiotic) character, for which i'm thankful. The characters were believable enough and convinced me they acted in a senseable and logical way. Our lead character is the unlike superhero which we're used to see, and has his personal problems, which really made me like him.
The story was nice enough and i really looked forward to see what happens!
I liked Ben here, him being serious and kind'a down spirited. I think the since Good Will Hunting, when his buddy Matt won the raffle of playing the suffering genius, he (Ben) wanted to act this part. So they gave it to him + many guns !
Overall - Not the banal action movie but a good and classy one. I recommend.
P.S Good for Jonny B, who else but TWD's Shane, for acting yet another douchey bad guy.
Spoiler edit: is it just me or that the J K Simmons storyline had hardly anything to do with the main plot?!? OK They had their thing in the 10 years ago past, but since then - only that lame phone call! what gives??

Declared at 2015, Stalled since 2016. Probably this won't see the light of day.
That episode is built like a play on stage, very dark, deep and intense play. You'll see the screen come up, and down again.
Eventually, it's the most beautiful, emotional and intense episode of the entire series until now.
Simply astonishing.
It's actually a spoiler to know it's so great before starting the episode. I had to pause in the middle to think about how amazing it is.
I really wanted this to be good.
But once you see a bunch of teenagers sent to save humanity, and their most important subject to talk about is blogging, you start wondering if it's a joke or you simply misunderstood something.
But then the final moment if the episode comes, and you understand - it's not a joke. It's simply SO BAD.
I really wanted this, but I can't have it. Sorry Katey, they made you wrong.
Kajaki is unique in a way that it takes place in a very short timeframe- only a few hours in one day. There are no bad guys, just guys.
It's gripping and emotional, and at a point very depressing.
If you like war movies, watch this. But note that's It's not an action film, but a drama.
It's up to you to decide if it's anti-war or not . But a good story it is.
I recommend.
Just be prepared for some heavy British and Scottish accent.
I didn't hear anything about this movie prior to watching, didn't knew it even existed, so I got it with no expectations.
It's a sweet sci fi romance movies that reminded me of Gataca and Equilibrium in some aspects (Equals isn't an action movie).
I really related to the characters and actually cared for them and wanted them to succeed. Hoult is one of my favorites and both he and Stewart did a great job creating a calm but intense and very intimate and discreet atmosphere.
I recommend for both sci fi lovers and romantics, men or women.

In order for a show to be good, the audience has to love the characters. For that, the audience has to understand them - even if they are stupid!
Friends, Seinfeld, Big band, New girl, Southpark - all are successful, funny shows, which the audience loves the characters (some or all of them) , and all do some dumb shit!
The characters in this show are acting in a way that is too non-realistic.
obviously this is a comedy, and obviously no one in real life would do whats going on here!
But since its that far fetched - it just throws the watcher right outside of the show and making him (the watcher) realize that this is a very ridiculous show, and thus he is unable to really connect and love the character and the show.
I for one, cannot relate to any HUMAN behavior the characters present.
The writers don't know their craft - this show could never be real good or be a real hit.
