Marvel's Iron Fist: 1x02 Shadow Hawk Takes Flight

"Ward Meachum sends his regards."

Silly show, Danny Rand is Loras Tyrell not Robb Stark.

Marvel's Iron Fist: 1x01 Snow Gives Way

Pretty good first episode if a little slow and a bit all over the place. Sets up the world and introduces what seems like will be a lot of the big players in this series. Finn Jones is good as Danny and I already really like Jessica Henwick as Colleen. She could easily end up being my favorite! I think the only weak part so far are the childhood friends of Danny who are being setup as the minor villains. Perhaps it's just a case of weak writing in the first episode and they'll get better as it goes on. And although we only saw a bit, the fight choreography wasn't too bad but I think it could be better. This was only the first episode though so hopefully once we see Danny go up against some more formidable baddies it will look better! Overall, I enjoyed it and I can't wait to continue.

Haikyu!!

This is such an unbelievably feel-good anime that you just can't help but smile and cheer through every episode! The characters, the animation, the story-telling... everything about this anime is fantastic. You could go into this show knowing nothing about volleyball and after watching just a few episodes, want to pick it up yourself. It's just that good.

Game of Thrones: 4x10 The Children

The fight between the Hound and Brienne was really hard to watch. I didn't even know who to root for; I loved both of those characters so much. And then I ended up tearing up when the Hound was dying and begging for Arya to kill him. He grew as a character and I think he really did end up wanting to protect Arya, and not just for money, and seeing him dying was heartbreaking. It will be cool to see Arya on her own. I do hope she meets up with Gendry again, wherever that boy is.

Overall though, this was a fantastic season finale!

Nooooo! Jon and Bran were so close to reuniting! :( I just want the few remaining Starks to be together, is that too much to ask? But at least we got to see a cute reunion between Jon and Ghost.

This show is a blessing. It deals with anxiety, depression, failing and having to pick yourself back up again, and the need and want to be the best that you can be. You really feel for all of these characters and their failures and their triumphs. First anime I watched and I am forever in love. Can't wait for season 2!!

I'm not even embarrassed to admit that I cried my eyes out at the end of this episode. What a phenomenal show.

Black Mirror: 3x01 Nosedive

Out of all of the episodes of Black Mirror that I've seen, this one seemed to have the happiest ending. Which is weird because her life is pretty much ruined as far as her score goes and who knows what happens to people who have that low of a rating, but seeing Lacie finally be able to let loose and say what she wants and just be herself was amazing. Great start to the new season!

I wasn't always fond of Lincoln as a character, but damn if I didn't tear up during his final scenes with Hive. Beautiful writing and acting from both Luke Mitchell and Brett Dalton. Sad to see them off the show.

Hive: "I only wanted to make it better."
Lincoln: "I know."
Hive: "To feel a connection. But you must feel that already... to sacrifice for them... with all their flaws."
Lincoln: "They're only human."

Wow, what a first episode! Dark, engaging, and leaving me immediately wanting more. This could be the next big thing and I can't wait to see where the show goes from here.

Marvel's Luke Cage: 1x05 Just to Get a Rep

Ha! Claire Temple beating up the guy who stole her bag was awesome! Glad to see her back and kicking ass. They set some great ground work in this episode as well for future storylines for Claire and Luke. Claire becoming the Night Nurse and Luke becoming a Hero for Hire. Great stuff!

Marvel's Luke Cage: 1x04 Step in the Arena

I agree with Izsák, this is the best episode of the season thus far! I like how they incorporated his original costume from the comics into this episode. He's right, it does look ridiculous on screen. But it's a really great moment for fans of the character! Also, the ending of this episode could provide for a really interesting story going forward since now the public knows about him and his powers.

Marvel's Luke Cage: 1x01 Moment of Truth

Great first episode! Really establishes the mood and setting for this installment of the Marvel shows on Netflix. Also, I love the idea of people selling copies of camera footage of "The Incident" on the streets. One of my favorite things about these Marvel shows is how they expand the Marvel universe on a more street level and we can see how civilians are living in a world of superheroes.

Can't wait to see how the rest of the season goes!

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: 2x21 S.O.S. (1)

Wow, the fact that Jiayang actually drains the life out of others in order to heal herself makes the story of that entire town dying much, much darker. Cal pieced her together again and she drained the life out of all of the townspeople in order to rejuvenate herself. Also, what a great redemption for Raina. "The thorn protecting the daisy". She knew Jiayang was going to kill her, but she let herself die so that Skye could see the truth.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: 2x18 The Frenemy of My Enemy

Damn this episode really makes you feel for Cal. From what we know now, he was a great doctor who volunteered his time in other countries and he ended up falling in love with a girl and having a child with her and everything in his life just went downhill from there. He really does love his daughter, and still loves his wife, and it was actually kind of heartbreaking seeing him talk about what could have been. Kyle Maclachlan is such a great actor and he's playing this character brilliantly.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: 2x15 One Door Closes

The special effects for this episode were amazing! Skye's powers looked badass and I really like the look of Gordon's teleportation "bamfs". I'm glad he was able to get some more screen time as well and we could get to know the character a bit more. He seems to work as a kind of replacement for Lockjaw on the show, which I'm more than okay with. He seems like a cool character and it would probably be a bit hard to get a giant five foot tall dog on the show and not make it cheesy.

Excited to see where Hunter, Coulson and the rest of the team go from here! This show really did turn into something incredible.

Star Trek: The Next Generation: 1x19 Heart of Glory

I feel like it was a bit of an oversight to use regular glass instead of transparent aluminum on the interiors of the ship, especially right next to the dilithium crystal chamber! OSHA would have a field day!

Star Trek: The Next Generation: 1x18 Coming of Age

I was wrong in my previous comment, this episode provides the most important contribution to the series--the Riker maneuver. Also, I really liked the small scene between Worf and Wes, and the later scene between Wes and Picard. Great writing and acting in both.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: 2x03 Making Friends and Influencing People

Iain De Caestecker as Fitz is phenomenal. I've loved him since the beginning but with the new direction his character has taken, you can really see him shine as an actor. He had the best acting this episode by far!

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: 1x20 Nothing Personal

This episode was so, so good! There are always some really great humourous lines in this show but I thought this episode in particular had some great ones.

Coulson: Say hello to Stark for-- Oh, yeah. Never Mind. He thinks I'm dead.
...
Hill: I can't believe he shot Lola.
Coulson: I can't talk about it.
...
Coulson: Finally some good news.
Computer: Perimeter defenses activated.
Coulson: I should have knocked on wood just then.
...
Coulson: If I come out, will you shoot me? 'cause then I won't come out."

Also, I loved when Deathlok threw the words that Ward used on Skye back at him. This show has great writing. Looking forward to seeing them work off the grid in the upcoming episodes.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: 1x12 Seeds

I am so glad Coulson told Skye about her origins instead of withholding that information from her. It's too often that shows rely on miscommunication in order to create drama and conflict and I am glad they didn't go that route because Skye for sure would have been angry at Coulson if he hid the info from her. Great episode.
