would've been an 8, but it is woke. they had to add a white chick rooting for the black dude to kill the white dude. tired of this cuckold sht. a big, fat ONE for you, m. knight shama lame-a ding dung!
very pleasantly surprised by this one. while it wasn't a perfect 10 of a movie, it was still a really nice, simple, touching movie, with good acting. and bonus; it was made in 2015, just before all this woke mess started really kicking in, and it shows, by being a much higher quality film.
God awful. horrible writing, atrocious acting, laughable fight scenes, cheesy, blatant feminism, snoozeville story that I could barely make it all the way though, and to put the Liberal cherry on top; the usual anti-white racism tossed in for good measure. Little Asian girl loves to "rob rich dumb white people". Let that same "joke" be said by a white guy about any other race....
can anyone tell me what Michael's entire motivation to kill is? not just in this movie, but overall.
carnage was cool, the rest was lame. too campy, bad voice actor with an even worse fake accent for venom. the only thing saving this movie was how cool carnage himself is.
Yet another established classic run into the ground by wokeism. :rage: This is just another dime a dozen shows/movies mostly dedicated toward continuing to make black people out to be the perpetual innocent angelic victims of evil white America. i suppose we'll be re-watching this same narrative until the end of time if left up to Liberal directors, writers, producers and streaming services. Or until enough people finally start very vocally putting their foot down and demanding they've had enough with being brow-beaten into oblivion with white guilt.
It gets a big fat 1 rating from me for that, but putting all that (majority of the movie) narrative aside for a moment, the movie would still only garner a 4 or 5 rating. The acting all around was pretty bad, and only a couple of the actors were easily, intuitively recognized to be the characters from the show.
While i am happy that "Hollywood" is displaying some sort of interest in keeping this legendary show alive, THIS ain't it; it should be immediately wiped from the memory of any who were unfortunate enough to see it, Men In Black style, and a strong suggestion to anyone considering making any new Sopranos content; keep the Liberal agenda out of it.
some seriously amateur acting on all parts. zero chemistry between literally any of the actors, over-acting parts that don't require it, a bad pick for the Clark/Superman actor, Lois (the actress) isn't even hot enough to keep me sticking with it (they should've taken the cue from the actress who played Lana in Smallville), and of course the usual cucking thrown in since it's yet another "woke" CW superhero show (black boyfriend for the white girl, attacks white boy for kissing his girlfriend :middle_finger_tone3:).
this movie was insane. brilliantly insane. obviously not for everyone; if you're looking for the usual, simple, hand it all to you on a paper plate and do it quickly, type of movie, look elsewhere. if you like slow burning, thought provoking suspense, with side of "whaaaat the fuuuuu"... enjoy!
now all he has to do up there by himself is starve until he's able to grow some food, try not to get mind numbingly bored with zero entertainment, others, or creatures, try to breed without a mate like him, and build up an entire society just like the one back home.
like Phunkie said, just a straight forward, decent storyline without all the toxic "woke" bs thrown in, which is extremely refreshing to see these days. pleasantly surprised.
i actually ended up liking this movie. is it groundbreaking? no. so what? if you look at it more as a mystery movie with a little bit of gore added rather than a "scary horror movie", you'll like it more.
was it perfect? of course not. you can't cram everything into a 2 hour movie, but as someone who grew up on the original trilogy, as in saw them all when they originally came out in the theaters, i thought it wasn't too bad. i tend to be more into the sith/jedi stuff than all the other "filler" in these movies though, so as always i think there's never enough of that in these movies, and in this case i think there should been a lot more emperor scenes. this is the coolest he's ever looked and acted, and yet they didn't use him enough. even if they had to extend the movie say, another half hour to add a half hour more of the emperor I'd have loved it. would've also loved an emp/kylo fight.
Season 2 has lost me. I find it hard to even stay awake during the episodes this season. Not to mention how nearly every episode has a racist dig toward whites, often white males in particular, with the "white privilege" and "white male fragility" slurs.
So far this season I'm up to episode 8; and 4 episodes out of 8 have had racist digs at white people. BYE.
As soon as I see Liberal writers taking their opportunity at writing for a popular network to hurl racist slurs at me, I'm out, and your show gets shit-rated by me.
I'm usually very selective and frugal with my ratings, and so far I've given all 3 of the currently released episodes a 9. excellent show!
just another of the same, predictable, usual, "poor, persecuted blacks", while making fun of whites, stuff.
even so, the material isn't as funny as his previous 2 Netflix specials. I'm guessing this must be his left over, less funny material that wasn't good enough to fit into the other 2.
Good acting by all, good 'period' film in the sense of the atmosphere, scenery, costumes, vernacular, etc., but the actual story itself was for me, just "meh". I'm still trying to really figure out the ending, though I'm not trying to hard at it.
jeesh that was bad. felt like I was watching Spinal Tap 2. bad wigs, bad acting, bad story telling, poorly stitching it all together, you name it. and this is coming from a huge fan who grew up on the crue back in the day. I really hope the kids who didn't get to experience it all back then like I did don't watch this pile of crap and think this is really what it was like back then. the band was a million percent better and less cheesy than this "movie" makes them appear.
meh ... REALLY boring. looked like a bad anime import from Japan with all the usual abstract flashing, quickly moving shapes. it's meant to be more of a political statement than quality movie.
interesting change of pace with the interaction, but the movie itself was pretty boring.
have people lost their minds? this movie is a 2/10 at BEST. talk about WAYYYYY overhyped ....
wow, he bombed.
the good:
the clarity of UHD this was recorded with.
bout it.
the bad:
the clarity of UHD this was recorded with. Chris Rock is NOT someone who should be seen with such detail, close-up.
it's just your run of the mill "Whitey is bad; blacky is the poor persecuted" played out racial propaganda. none of it even particularly funny.
the audience never even laughs above the standard volume of a school cafeteria.
at times you can visually see some audience members sigh out of boredom.
I had to actually pause the show to see how much time was left and audibly groaned when I saw 27 minutes still left.
have you ever heard how comedians try out material on crowds in order to polish the act up for "the big show?" that's what this felt like; like he was filmed during one of those shows where he was trying out (bad) material.
definitely not the quality I've come to expect out of Chris Rock. if this is the best he can come up with at this point, I guess he blew his load on the previous shows, and should just retire.
EXCELLENT movie. I give almost zero movies/shows a 10; this one got it out of me. Well, technically it'd be a 9.5 (I mean, you had years, and 2.5 hrs. and couldn't come up with a better ending? The movie ended exactly like all the heroes; just vanished. It's like they just ran out of production money and poof, movies over!) but it was close enough so I gave up the last 0.5 anyway.
Yet ANOTHER movie with potential ruined by Liberal agenda.
Pretty close to bailing on this show. It's turned into more of an attempt at being an aloof romcom. WAY too much romance going on. Every single character has to have a romantic side-plot? 95% of the show is bad, boring romance scene, briefly interrupted buy something of a superhero plot for half a minute, then back to another long, boring romance scene.
People watch superhero shows/movies for the superhero ACTION.
VERY "meh*. the first and last of the 4 had a semi-interesting concept, but like the entire anthology, went nowhere and just left you confused, without any apparent real ending.
I'd skip this one if you haven't seen it yet.
the fug did i just watch?
remove the cat abuse and add a real plot and it could've been a good movie. the stereotypical "white trash" was humorous, it just went nowhere, and I was too busy being butthurt over the animal abuse to really enjoy it.
This is the show American Horror Story was trying to be, but failed horribly.
Top notch acting by ALL the actors, top notch writing, top notch direction, scenery and costumes, and only minor amounts of Liberal propaganda; the only bad thing about this series is that it's already over after season 3!
As much as I love superhero shows/movies, and really wanted to like this; it's unwatchable.
It's yet another Liberal indoctrination, PC propaganda piece, aimed squarely at young, white, easily manipulated, impressionable, teen females.
0/10 rating.
I don't understand how this show has anything over a 4/10 rating. The acting is E-grade, it's cheesy, predictable, and it falls all over itself to be so beyond politically-correct in every aspect of the writing, production, and characters, that it's actually unrealistic. It's essentially just more Liberal propaganda designed to indoctrinate teens into the Liberal-Borg collective.
i.e. An Asian lesbian girl who was adopted by 2 white, gay men, to be "Dad & Dad". The series is boiling over with examples such as that.
The (far) underlying plot line, where a girl who committed suicide is leading the people who led her to her decision around with a carrot on a stick, and the PSA of not bullying people, and basically, talking bad about them, is the only thing rescuing the series.
Other than that, it's very slow to develop, and watches exactly like one of those cheesy after-school shows I used to watch as a kid. Think, Saved by the Bell, but about suicide, and Liberal indoctrination.
