They'll just build a new one... and make the White Walkers pay for it.
Solid movie. A perfect balance of levity and psych thriller. I didn’t come away feeling 100% satisfied, but it was very enjoyable nonetheless.
I had not seen the trailer and had absolutely no idea what the premise was. I can definitely imagine that it would be a more enjoyable experience this way, since I was surprised throughout. A fairly inventive movie, clever plot, and strong performances from the leads. The scares all add to the story, too! It's not purely jump scares for no reason.
EDIT: I just read the Trakt synopsis- it gives away a huge bit of the story. I am even more glad I knew nothing about this movie or I probably would have been more judgmental.
EDIT 2: Trakt has changed the synopsis to be more vague, but I still think I enjoyed the movie even more without reading anything about it or even seeing artwork. halfway through the movie I could not imagine how it could be a horror movie, which is exactly why it was such a good horror movie.
Absolute shite. Please don't waste your time. Very predictable with a horrible ending. They don't show you who the killer is and what his intentions were for doing what he did. They explained absolutely nothing. I wasted an hour and a half on this dreadful movie. Don't make the same mistake I made.
The end of this episode was a bit ridiculous, imo. Serena and June having an audible spat by the Lincoln Memorial, where the acoustics would surely help carry their raised voices to the 100s of gathered handmaidens and assorted soldiers/cameramen at the foot of the steps, stretched the level of believability somewhat.
This episode was so dark I figured the Night King was attacking Winterfell
After watching this, I was asking myself:"What the heck did I just watch?".
This movie was really MEH!! Expected way more..
I thought that "Sons" was an excellent episode. The stuff with Asher and his parents was great. Noah Galvin was fantastic as he battled his emotions. I was glad that Shaun and Lea finally got married. But the end? I knew something was happening, but I thought it would involve Glassman. Then, as Dr. Lim left to go get more glasses, I just knew what was going to happen. I'm left to wonder if either of them will survive.
I've ended up liking Reznick and Park, and I never thought I'd end up liking Reznick.
This episode made me ugly cry several times throughout.
I'm cautiously optimistic based on this first episode. It seems faithful to the book and I really like the cast.
I felt like maybe there was too much awkward exposition up front and yet I still feel like I would be pretty lost if I didn't already know the story.
Were there helicopters in the book? I don't remember that and it seemed out of place with the 1920s technology feel of the rest of the world. Also, it felt like only the main characters had daemons with none in the background.
But, there were also moments here where I was completely entranced by the story being told. I'm looking forward to the next episode.
I think the first is fractionally better, mostly because it had surprise on its side. You go into this one expecting more of the same and you get more of the same, but that's not a problem. It's still a delight to experience (especially more of Jim Carrey enjoying himself again, which can never be a bad thing).
Where the heck did Diggle go? Was it Thanos that made Diggle disappear? I didn’t know this was a crossover between Marvel and DC.
Made it through episode 4 and I think I'm done. Well acted, but watching someone be slowly swindled out of their money turns out to be painfully boring. Probably would have fared better as a movie or miniseries.
Well, congratulations, Donna! You fucked over Harvey for a guy you known for less than 2 weeks.
Samantha is starting to grow on me. Katrina just got 2x hotter. I love classy, protective, and slightly aggressive women.
Genuinely bad 'thriller.' In real estate terms, this movie deserves foreclosure.
Worst ending in history. A HUGE WTF. What a waste of time
For someone who has never played or know anything about Fallout lore, after 1 episode I think I'm still in the same boat..
Will update in episode 2.
That was unbearable, couldn't watch to the end.
An interesting, seemingly confused movie.
I Kill Giants is a movie with a fantasy twist, that never really address the crux of the problem. Is it fantasy, or is it real?
The acting in I Kill Giants fells accurate, but leaves the viewer confused in what they should believe.
I loved the storyline, and the mix between modern day and fantasy, but in the end I was left wanting more of a hint on which direction the movie went. At times it felt each of the directions, but never really revealed its true identity.
All in all, I'd rate it a worth watching, but not worth seeking out.
Sorry but you can't just erase two main characters and not even bother to adress it. That's just low and undeserving to two wonderfully diverse and complex characters who carried season 1 in my opinion. You can't just sweep them under the rug.
This was… different. The acting in this is top notch, as to be expected with this cast. But that’s one of the few positives for me. The story is just so depressing. I get that that’s the point of this show, but damn… it’s hard to watch this unfold. It’s interesting, but not fun at all. It gets a 6/10 for me, mostly for the performances.
Clark and Lana are the dumbest people ever. The minute Lex was onto Kara they should've told her the truth
