The first half of this movie is really strong and then it just feels like a series of deleted scenes that were thrown together. I loved the ending but it's just the second half leading up to it that was meh.
Had fun with this one. No frills, no crazy twist, just a good old fashioned popcorn flick.
Brendan was great. This movie, however, was mid.
I give way too many things an 8. I've played the game and the DLC twice, back to back. I finished the DLC and immediately started a new game. With that said this was a very faithful adaptation that took a risk in the beginning but ultimately stayed very close to the original. I think: too close to the original. I personally would have liked to see more risks taken but that would lead to aNgRy GaMeRs. Overall it was good and I'll continue the series (obviously)
Hit a lot of great notes. Some moments felt a bit out of step, but others were pitch perfect. Recommended!
Classic. Must watch. 4K release is terrific.
One of my favorites. Something different.
What the fuck did I just watch
Wild cast. Zero depth. It's no Fortress. 4/10
Gonna tell my kids that Captain Amazing is Homelander
Not as great as I remembered it being. Novel at the time for sure but the soundtrack and the feel is just...dated. Cruise's lines feel lazy.
A legendary science fiction masterpiece. It does so much world building while also being a mix of comedy and action. It's the best. Saw it this time around in 4K DoVi.
A short film exploring gender politics from the perspective of a film set. It's claustrophobic, stifling, neurotic, and deafening. Definitely a must see, especially given it's runtime. Not as focused as Gaspar's other works but it works regardless.
Sometimes this is the best in the series. It's very straightforward and it's a fun, feel-good watch. It also has some of the funniest writing in the series.
However, the original is also the original. It's legendary. Either way this one is worth a watch.
Look, I really want to love this movie. I can't though... The cast is intolerable and it's just such a shitty view of the future. It's a hard one to sit through.
What can be said about this movie that hasn't been said already. Plenty of neat little details and a fun story that runs through it.
A fantasy about a bunch of zoomers with no internet.
I watched the first half of this season last year. I just tried to watch this again and couldn't make it through. Such a lame start.
It's sad to see that I'm the first reviewer of this film here. This is one of DeVito's greatest performances. This is a 90 minute single-room stage play that is worth the watch.
I love this movie. Holds up on a second viewing. It's absurd, it's all over the place, Alia Shawkat is awesome but her big sequence doesn't really add anything to the long term movie. Regardless of all this it has a Ted Lasso positivity to it. Ziegler may be abrasive but he's honest, which is more you can say for the rest.
What can I say about this that hasn't been said elsewhere? Cage is a legend, it's a fun Disney movie, and has a strong pace throughout.
This movie is dookie, but in a The Room way.
It's a script that we've seen time and time again. This movie doesn't know what it wants to be. it's a bit all over the place for me. But it's a classic, and its instrumental in kicking off the series.
It was fun. Definitely lagged in the middle. The mother in the movie is defined by single trait. Probably the worst character in it
I think this is the weakest episode. I love Coach Beard, but giving him this odyssey? We didn't learn anything.
Probably the weakest episode of the show up to this point. Uninteresting main plot that somehow gets largely ignored at the same time? It's an odd one.
I really liked this. Introduction to a lot of great characters and a pretty awesome ending to the episode.
I was super intrigued by the first episode and the beginning of this episode but wow it throws a lot of weird plot points at you quick and really has made me disinterested in the series.
Still a fun watch to this day
One day, Barbara Streisand, one day...
It was ok.
