The Office

It's funny in places, I prefer the American one more surprisingly.

Pimp My Ride

It's probably one of my favourite shows, mainly because of Xzibit. Sure, it had its controversial what nots, but Magic Mike and Xzibit make this really fun to watch. Plus the crappy cars, they clearly went after the worst cars they could find. Xzibit needs to be in more stuff

Deep Rising

Cheesy movie that doesn't take itself to seriously. Had the privilege of renting it from Blockbuster in the 90's. Like a fine wine its aged gracefully

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

The CGI is good, but if you're looking for a fulfilling flick look elsewhere. Even Godzilla barely turned up

The Game

Was great.... right up until the end

Alien Apocalypse

It was terrible, but it had Bruce Campbell and his awesome one-liners. "Your stupidity is terminal, and now you're cured"

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

It wasn't terrible, but I'm old, so I remember the originals scaring the crap out of me as a child while making me laugh. Seems like they would rather dust off people like the mayor and use him again than write some really great script, heavily dependent on the old stars than any really good story. The bad guy, though, awesome! He was clearly the best part that would have scared me as a child.

First half is poor mans James Bond, and the second half is poor mans Top Gun. Still, Eastwood makes it fun to watch

Great fun, nice to see vampire movies get a makeover from the standard.

Hardcore Pawn

Being British, I've heard stories of what Detroit is like now. Very intesting and angry customers in almost every episode, they all seem to want to fight and shout. Brother and sister seem to fight and shout a lot, like little kids. It still makes it far more entertaining, and the items they get are somewhat different. You just can't beat those angry customers, though. They are like caricatures, almost parodying a certain stereotype. That does make me wonder if some are paid to act that way to make it more interesting...

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

The perfect 90s sitcom. Jaz was the icing on the cake when he appeared. The first words he speaks to Uncle Phil when walking in the door are damn right hilarious.

3rd Rock from the Sun

Showed this to my wife as she'd never heard of it. Even now, it still holds strong. John Lithgow is a phenomenal actor and really brings the show together. I don't think another TV gem like this will come around too often

South Park

This was hated when it came out in the late 90's, mostly by the 'boomer' as they are called now. But that just made everyone else watch it more. Offensive and relevant, it's managed to stay on topic with current events. There should be at least one thing that offends you, but you know that there are others that will be far more offended.

Zack Snyder's Justice League

When I first heard him say his cut was better, I dismissed it as sour grapes. I was very happy to be proven absolutely wrong. This cut is so much better. It's so good. it's almost a different film.

King Kong

Adventure, mystery, action, and Jack Black. What's not too like

24

It may be plagued with continuity errors and reusing the same old formula over and over, but the acting from the main cast is on point, so many likeable characters and watching Jack kick ass as some kind of one man army is exactly why it's good. You take die hard, inject it with some cocaine and voila, 24. People complaining about it and voting it low seem to be people that would turn up at a Guns and Roses concert and complain it's not Max Richter. If you're looking for elegance, look elsewhere. If you want to watch some terrorists get what's coming to them without too much to think about, then this is it.

Alien

It is a truly brilliant piece of cinema. By todays standard, you may consider it tame, but if you are old enough or have watched enough films to understand it from the perspective of when it was made, it is the best definition of sci-fi horror you can find. Lots of similar angles of shots and perspectives from this were used in Event Horizon if you watch them both enough, many movies owe their existence to this classic.

The Antisocial Network: Memes to Mayhem

I think I know why there are no comments. Having watched this "documentary," it seems quite clear what the intentions are behind it. It's not really honest, I was hoping for a detailed explanation of why 8chan and 4chan started with the makers and people behind it. They seem to pull a few people together who claim various things with no real backing, you see some footage of m00t, but with no interviews with him or anything it's hard to understand how they got their information. The whole thing seems like one giant piece of propaganda, 8chan was how qAnon got started, and where the Jan 6th was first discussed, check out 8chans Wikipedia page. This, however, claims it was 4chan. The guy they interview claims to be some super hacker and uses windows with paint open, vs code with some java script, and then starts an esxi session logging into a virtual machine. A few seconds after that, you actually see htop running behind some guy in a conference call, I guess, so he looks more hacker like or something. It's painful to watch in some areas

A shadowy reflection of what we now have on TV, except this will make you laugh.

Awesome show! The one where they go to the musical is my favourite. "I'm disabled"

Fringe

Very entertaining, I felt an XFiles vibe coming from it, but that could have been just me. Seemed to go a bit far fetched in later seasons, but the cast and the performance of John Noble just kept me coming back to the end.

Stressed Eric

Fantastic show. I remember staying up late in the 90s and watching it in my bedroom so I could join in the convo in the morning at school. If you somehow find this show, I would definitely recommend it. It's still very funny.

The Big Bang Theory

How is this so popular? Some of my friends recommend it to me because I'm a software engineer, and I work in data science, so they think it's made for me. I think it's how your average non-nerd thinks a computer nerd behaves. Them recommending it to me must say something about me. The characters are just stereotypes, annoyingly so. At least everyone in my field thinks it's terrible, others however who are not as nerdy seem to enjoy it so I think it's just a show about nerds that isn't made for nerds which makes it unique in a way. Most shows with nerds in them cater to a nerdy audience.

The Walking Dead

As of writing this, I am 29% in. The first season was good, the second meh, but now it's gone on so long it's just gotten repetitive. I find I hit skip a few times each episode, and it makes no difference at all. I may watch more in the future, but for now, I think I've seen enough.

Halo

Every time I watch this show, I do so thinking, "Maybe this episode will actually be from the game." So far, I've been disappointed. I mean, at least have the people die in the order of the game or mention Noble Team in Reach. It's like weirdly watchable when he puts on his suit and kicks covenant ass, but then suddenly it's not Halo again as he's taken off his helmet and eating dinner with the girl he saved. Still, I watch, hoping that maybe this time with season 3, he will have Cortana in his suit and be making his way to the control room through some snow.

The Expanse

Absolutely brilliant, the story was fantastic, and the whole space saga story was so elegantly told. I loved all the character's, loved the weird way the belters talk, although I hated it at first. It was, without a doubt, the best space saga show I have ever seen. I only wish an MIB mind wipe device existed so I could watch it all over again for the first time.

I enjoyed it, shame it was cancelled. I liked the characters, the ship design I preferred it to Killjoys. I think it deserved a few more seasons but hey, killjoys won I guess

Totally washes away the Tom Cruise version. Action, violence and Reacher is an absolute unit. This human tank lives up to the Reacher of the books

The Sopranos

Pure Kino, not a single show has managed to live up to the class of this over the same time span of seasons. From beginning to end it remains consistent and gripping.
