Infuriatingly stupid, way beyond general horror movie character stupidity. its like they wrote a stupid ending and made the characters make stupid decisions to reach that ending. The monster design and kills were good though.

@counterbull9578 come on mannnnnn a 1? A one wouldn't have good monster designs Md kills lol those are the only reasons we all watched in the first place

What started off as a pretty funny adult animated show turned into a flanderized piece of garbage by its 10th season...and its now in its 20th season. The first 4 or 5 seasons are good, but after that it is a slow and painful fall downwards for this series. Great gags in int first few seasons, but by the 10th season it starts trying to be edgy and delivers some despicable messages about spousal abuse, emotional abuse, and womanizing behavior.
(+) A very solid first 5 seasons with memorable gags
(=) No real continuity besides "some" characters deaths, generally due to main voice actor passing away
(=) Not the best looking animation, and many characters are stiff in presentation
(-) Absolutely terrible messages in some episodes
(-) Some very boring material at times, and the show starts to get monotonous and dull
(-) Characters become flanderized versions of themselves very quickly, and the only semi-enjoyable one by Season 10 is Stewie
(-) The show becomes a vessel for Seth Macfarlane to annoyingly brandish his political/religious beliefs nonstopFinal Verdict: 3/10 (Poor)

@mr-sackamano Ha! I was just thinking the same thing about Hunt. Probably been 20 years since I last saw this, but she was rocking that outfit!
SPECTACULAR!!! Spot on casting, authentic setting, faithful to the original book, wonderful acting, moving and joy filled drama. CBC on Sunday nights. I give it a 9 (superb) out of 10, only because I should probably see 2 episodes before granting it the 10 that I very much anticipate it will deserve. I feel as superlative as Anne. YAY!

@mr-sackamano I wouldn't ever want to make Anne cry, sorry. Although the series had superb moments, it didn't weather well. Some of the performances and plot lines were weak. But, 7 is (good), nothing to cry about.

Nostalgia is a strange thing.. I remember loving this as a child. Because it must have been up to 20 years since I last saw this movie, I thought it's about time to revisit Fantasia.. and I deeply regret it.
The characters are dull, the child actors are emotionless (looking scared with open mouths, wide eyes and fake tears) and either whispering, screaming or thinking out loud to explain what's going on, the soundtrack is unbearably cheesy and the story_telling_ is basically non-existent; it jumps from one scene to another until it all ends in a ride on the fluffy white (dog) dragon.
The only thing I still liked were those handmade, mechanical creatures, including the (dog) dragon.loading replies

I saw the 2016 reboot yesterday and decided it was time to return to the original. Many people have slated the new film - it cant' match the original - it can't work with women - blah blah blah - etc. Guess what, the 1984 movie is not perfect. Its very much of its time, the special effects are variable, it isn't as funny as you remember. Return to the film and you might agree - we remember the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, the demon dogs, the library ghost - all with affection. But it is rose-tinted and not as good as remembered. For its time though, it is a good film, but it does not warrant the classic status that the 2016 Ghostbuster haters are making it out to be. There is room in the world for both movies and for the record... I kinda prefer the new film.

This is my favorite review of this film
The opening scene of this movie the "Dawn" when the little girl attacks and the neighborhood erupts in chaos bordered on amazing. Once that's done though the movie predictably turns up the gore and turns down the scares. The next best thing is the home video-like shots of the survivors landing on an island that are mixed in with the closing credits. This movie is better than most current horror fare but it's mostly just a lot of blood and guts.

@whitsbrain a childs review... see it when you're a parent or a husband/wife and review again
It was OK. Overrated, but worth a watch if you're a zombie fan. Not as good as the original. There's still enough Romero present with humour and intense character decisions. It doesn't say anything deeper than just being a basic zombie movie but the ending was some good action.

@moonkodi sooooooo much better than the original...target practice parking lot game alone was better than the entire original lol
