Look, let's cut to the chase here. This series was good, not fantastic just good. Take away Jason Bateman and put some lesser known actor in his place and it would have been mediocre at best.
It took me about 3 or 4 episodes before I got over his comedic background in Arrested Development, even then I thought some of his acting was very similar, the lingering looks and starring for one.
Some of the episodes were rather disjointed and did not flow well, some of the cinematography was ok but not outstanding. Much better in shows like Fargo, BCS, Quarry etc.
The last episode was good but I think they tried to cram too much in to it without giving any of it the time it deserved.
Ok, they left a few unanswered questions but I'd like to have seen a more complete end to it.
I'm sure it will get a second series, the Netflix hype train will take care of that. Had it been a TV release only, not sure of that.
If you find yourself with an hour and a half spare, do yourself a favour......go for a walk.
When Mark reveals the photo showing him and his outie self, with his wife! Don't you dare say the hairs on the back of your neck didn't stand up! OMFG BEST EPISODE YET!!! Wow. Just wow. That ending.
But but but what about Arthur??
Such a great episode. This series has really grown on me. The characters and writing in this show is really superb. Particularly father and son who are father and son in real life.
Bloody loved the location crossover with Breaking Bad. You did spot that didn't you?
Oh F**ck, shit just got real for sure.
Erm, wow, crazy, mad series! Shit just got real in this episode.
Going to be so sad to see this show end. Let's hope there are more series to come ! Masterpiece of directing, acting, score, story. It has it all.
Probably one of Leonard’s worst films. Bet he regrets getting involved in this.
Absolutely amazing series. People who have not latched on to this yet are missing out.
What the hell! Just wasted 3 hours of my life watching that crock. What was that ending all about? Did a 4 year old write this. Please.
Wow, I almost gave up after episode 2. So glad I didn’t. This turned out to be a great series and a very clever take on this type of plot. Final episode is great.
Eugene and Dan Levy are such awesome actors and writers. They perform best when in a confrontation with each other as seen in the episode a few times. Really good series.
Firstly I must say I rarely watch shows which are not in my native English, ie with subtitles but I am sure glad that I decided to watch Dark. This show is turning out to be outstanding. The atmosphere and music/score is spot on, grading and colour are superb and the acting is excellent.
However the story is becoming very engrossing and at the end of this episode extremely rather chilling, almost making the hairs on the back of your neck stand up!
Really enjoyed this. Sad in many ways but then that’s life. Could squeeze a second series out easily I reckon.
Never mind ABC drug, the writers of this show are on LSD. Yet I continue to watch it. Please send help......
Genius. Cranston has already proved himself as a great actor now he has gone on to prove himself as an awesome director too. There was little to fault in this series. Sometimes it may have been a little slow but the great characters and good acting of said characters more than made up for this. The last 3 episodes were particularly stunning.
Really brilliant camera work, just the right amount of slow motion shots, long, slow paaaans and a terrific score have all contributed to add Sneaky Pete to my "Awesome TV" list on trakt.
More of the same please.
Bloody awesome, epic, superb series. Going to be sad when this is over next episode.
Can't wait! Best series ever.
Oh wow, all that money and a fancy lab, yet still they break ice with the back of a spatula
We find a lot out in this episode, they use a clever way to show us too.
Well that was fun. Really enjoyed season 1. Let’s hope there is a second season. I’d forgot how good an actor Steve Martin is.
Really enjoyed this. Not your typical alien invasion tv. I don’t think you really see much of the actual aliens until last episode 5 or 6? But I think that’s half of the appeal. Leaves you wondering more. Great finale. Wide open for series 2.
Excellent series. Great acting and production, as you would expect from this cast.
I was attracted by the cover art showing the actor wearing a gas mask. That is about as exciting as it got. Don’t bother.
AWESOME show, brilliant actors, great score, superb story, authentic 80's nostalgia, kids on bikes, what more could anybody want.
Bloody awesome! Amazing AMC series. Beautiful cinematography and story line is turning out to be great.
Brilliant ending. Loved the music.
First few episodes were good. However towards the last 3 episodes it kinda went to sh@t
