Katie is one of the most unlikable characters I've ever seen
They're definitely running out of ideas!
About the yellow powder, Aronofsky said in an interview that it makes a reference to a book of Victorian literature called The Yellow Wallpaper.Presented in first person, the story is a woman whose physician husband has rented an old mansion for the summer as a form of treatment from what he calls a "temporary nervous depression – a slight hysterical tendency", a diagnosis common to women in that period. The unnamed woman is forbidden from working and is encouraged to eat well and get plenty of exercise and air, so she can recuperate.
The story depicts the effect of understimulation her mental health and her descent into psychosis. With nothing to stimulate her, she at first hate the yellow wallpaper and ask her husband to move for other room, which he promptly respond her request as being rubbish.
So, as times goes on, she becomes obsessed by the pattern and color of the yellow wallpaper and starts wondering about it’s secrets. "It is the strangest yellow, that wall-paper! It makes me think of all the yellow things I ever saw – not beautiful ones like buttercups, but old foul, bad yellow things. But there is something else about that paper – the smell! ... The only thing I can think of that it is like is the color of the paper! A yellow smell."
This book is classified by many as a horror story, but the intension behind it goes far beyond this. It’s a critic to how women were treated in that time, not being taken seriously, depending aways of their husband.
Or it can be just a reference to animal sacrifices made in the old testament, as one friend of mine told me when we were in a discussion about the movie. Because every time someone "profanates" the house, Mother Earth drinks this powder, but when she gets pregnant, she throws it away because it is not necessary anymore since then she has her child who's the lamb who will be sacrificed to redeem for all the sins of humanity.
(ps: sorry for my poor english.)
How the hell they got out the house without exploding it?
This is a bit of an overreaction to bullying.
Collin should be happy he's not married with that hysterical woman anymore.
James McAvoy acting is the best thing in this movie.
Any movie which ends up playing My Chemical Romance is a good movie!
I love the amazing amount of fun combined with great touching moments.
I can't believe Rachel turned into a prostitute!
I think all of 'em, minus Sheldon, decided to tell him one part of the truth each. Sheldon had already told everyone else the truth, so they decided he would lie to throw Howard off the fact the rest would be basically true. I think it was a letter that wished Howard a Happy Birthday (Raj), congratulated him on graduating high school and told he had been there (Amy). He explained that he had to leave to protect Howard and his mother from other things going on in his life ( Penny). He advises Howard to remember how important family is and how he hopes his son won't make the same mistakes he did (Leonard). There was also a picture of his dad with him as baby, with a message of his love on the back (Bernadette).
Even if the movie ended after the first scene it id still the best X-Men movie ever!
The movement thing was kinda cringey.
Jake's phone has a hell of a battery!
The creepiest thing I've seen in this show so far was Hap sucking his earphones.
I've never been so disturbed by a movie.
It isn't intense, it's plain boring. The twist is obvious since the beginning almost.
The only good thing of this flick is the clear influence it had in Westword.
I like it 'cause everyone dies.
Finn gets shocked when a fellow trooper die in front o him and do not want to kill the people of that village, but it's just fine with blasting dozens of his fellows troopers to escape with Poe.
As atuações são péssimas!
Acho que as vezes a passagem de tempo não fica muito clara.
By the same editors of Catfish, Blair Witch.
The 3D is on point! It was the best 3D movie I've watched in a long time.
The editing is the highlight of this movie.
Travis feet were so messed up that it looks like he was wearing Vans sneakers.
The directing of this episode was definitely the best so far!
The boobs don't worth watching it.
What's up with that scene of Sam saying "mom" in the last episode? What happend after that?
