I expected something totally different when I went in to this movie and it topped everything. This was hilarious. Comedy horror done right! Love the cast, they brought the fun, the kid is great. Netflix seems to rock this genre, great movie!
For me, personally, this couldn't have been written any better. I loved it! I know not everyone will but for me it did the show justice. It was bittersweet and in line with how the show did things in all its seasons. When Hvitserk is given his new name 'Athelstan' I had to push back some tears. It's like the story has come full circle in a way. Ragnar took Athelstan with him on his first quest and now a son of Ragnar has taken place in Wessex as Athelstan, a name given to him by none other than his son.
Ivar's death was more heartbreaking than I could've imagined. I never thought I'd be shedding tears over him. He changed a lot during his time with the Rus and it is beautiful that he essentially gave his life to ensure that of Hvitserk. These two had such a deep bond and I wondered how it would conclude. I always thought one would kill the other but this was beautiful and tragic all at once.
The last scene of Floki and Ubbe on that beach was so well written too. When Floki tells Ubbe he looks like Ragnar, beautiful. Such a pure scene of two men with deep respect and love for each other. Ragnar would be proud of that.
Now if there is one thing I would like to have seen different it would be Ingrid, living her best life as Queen. I never cared for her though I can admit she is a force. She stood her ground against Harald and Erik but I think I never really warmed up to her because she got with Bjorn while he was already married to Gunnhild and I loved Gunnhild like I loved Lagertha.
I'll say goodbye to this epic adventure for now... probably going to re-watch it in the future and appreciate it all over again.
This show manages to f*** with my thoughts. Joe is truly messed up and somehow when he and Candace are talking, I catch myself rooting for him!?
As usual I was so very wrong about the killer. This show keeps surprising me, brilliant episode and yet again a big thumbs up to Viola Davis who brings so much emotion and life to her character. Goosebumps every single time.
This episode was so intens and beautiful. It was everything I hoped it would be! I love how Rick found his humanity again through Carl and that he was able to leave Negan alive even though he would've totally deserved to die like Maggie thinks. I also love how Dwight got a happy ending - sort of -. But the best thing about this whole episode is Eugene, fricking Eugene whom I've hated for weeks because I thought he was actually working for Negan who ended up saving the whole day! Yes, Eugene, yes!
I can't wait to see how the story develops now. What's next for everyone.
Will we see Dwight again? Will Negan escape and plot revenge? Will he die before doing so? What are Maggie, Daryl and Jesus going to do about Rick and Michonne? Will all out war turn to a war amongst themselves?
Damn, that was something! A lot happened in this episode. I really like how Negan played it all out, patiently waiting for Simon to make a mistake and to take Dwight down right after. Poor Dwight, I think he will suffer a great deal.
Also, I think both Negan and Rick are right, it is too late for peace now, too much has happened on both ends. Maybe in a different era.
Alpha and Beta are very interesting characters to watch. I like these flashback episodes that give us more backstory and I'm curious to see where they'll go next in the story. There is a very dark, twisted and powerful bond between the two that makes for great tv.
Surprisingly good movie. The plot quickly took a turn I didn't really expect and Carla Gugino carried this movie to a higher level with her performance. the addition of the Moonlight Man was a bit too much for me though, It was a strong plot on itself without this piece of the storyline, it felt added to bring a bit more gore and horror to the story when truly it was thrilling enough.
I am 100% satisfied with this ending. One of the best series finales I've seen and it truly did the story justice. Okay, so first of all; I love love love Bonnie. Always have, always will. Nobody will ever change my mind about this. To see her die (and I blame Frank for it) was heartbreaking. I always hoped she would have a happy ending because she has been through so much. However, I think the way they wrote it was beautiful and it made sense. To have her die like this, alongside Frank (damn you Frank!), in the arms of Annalise, it brought everything full circle. She did her part and now she rests.
I LOVE the funeral scene, seeing moments of Annalise her life with Tegan, seeing Oliver, Conner and Laurel older and CHRISTOPHER! I know some people hoped it was Wes but I like this way better. And that accent! O my god, YES and that he - of all people - is the new professor for that class, being mentored by Annalise... I cried so much happy tears.
For a moment the writers had me concerned that after all these years they would break up Oliver and Conner, thank God they didn't. This was by far the best couple on the show and I never once gave up on them. I'm also very satisfied with how things ended for Michaela, she was selfish from the start and ended up 'alone' which served her right.
So this is the end, bittersweet and I will need a moment - like days - to process this. Fantastic show, always in my heart.
I think I was just as scared as James was when Alyssa left the police station to go to Clive's house.
The emotions were so high this season and I'm glad they went this way even though I wouldn't have minded it to have ended with Bonnie shooting them both (it was shocking and unexpected) but this happy ending made me tear up. It was beautiful and a nice message that things can work out in the end, even though of course both of these characters are scarred for life and in need of serious therapy (I love that Alyssa pointed that last one out herself).
I think that anyone who has endured trauma or felt depressed to the point of being numb could relate to Alyssa, the things she thought will hit home. They did for me and it's good, it's good that we see her struggle and in the end survive and able to 'ask' for help (when she says to James that she'll probably need therapy). It's a good message to put out there.
I'm glad they decided to leave it as this, there is no need for more seasons to drag a story out that it perfectly wrapped up now. It could've gone without the second season but I love that they did this season.
This was absolutely the best crossover so far and nobody can make me see that otherwise. I loved seeing all the characters work together and what is especially great is that for each episode they maintained the tone of the show. This part brought some of that Legends goofiness that I love so much. I mean; BEEBO!!!?? Yes!
It's hard giving every character enough screentime on a crossover this big and yes, some characters could have had a bigger arc but they wrote it best they could have in my opinion. You know, without dragging the story forward too slow.
The only thing I missed; Reverse Flash. Where was my man Thawne? I mean, since the beginning of The Flash they have dangled this story in front of our eyes. The newspaper clipping said a face-off between Flash and Reverse was about to happen. Thawne even said to Barry last season 'see you in our next Crisis' and they completely left it out. Maybe they mean to use it elsewhere, which is fine by me but I hope we will see Thawne appear in the rest of the season.
That part with Alfred was some next level crazy, and the ending, O God, I am so hyped for the season finale!
Holy sh*t... One of the best openings for a new season ever. Thrilling, not giving everything away at once, constantly on the edge of my seat and finally crying my eyes out. Awesome and man... I know it's wrong after what he did but I do love Negan... brilliant character already.
One of the most touching and beautiful shows I've ever watched. It's exciting, mysterious, keeps you on edge till the final episode. Brilliant casting and beautiful filming with some of the best soundtracks create for a perfect show that you should watch!
Another great episode in this season. I know some people complain that there isn't enough action but I feel like the story doesn't always need the blood and gore to maintain a strong story, in fact, these in depth episodes make me bond with characters more and they make them more relatable. I think a lot of people (including myself) suspected that Dante wasn't a good guy. He appeared somewhat out of the blue in this season and they focused a lot on him, now finally we have confirmation and I gotta say, it makes him cooler in my opinion. At first he was just an annoying character that got too much screentime but now we know he is there for a reason. Poor Siddiq, I believe he could've gotten out of there alive if he had kept him cool, he didn't. I like that Dante felt somewhat bad for killing him. He kind of lulled him to sleep. I like that they went full circle with this episode. From 'open your eyes' to 'close your eyes'.
Even though I suspected Dante to be a whisperer spy, the clicking of the tongue followed by Siddiq's flashbacks still got to me. I actually think the way his story was told, the trauma, him dealing with it and his ultimate death was told very beautifully. tragic of course but again without the gore. They could have shown a lot there, with all the head chopping being done in that shed, but they didn't. Good choice.
The tension in this episode was so high! I honestly thought that Bonnie shot and killed James and Alyssa, that scene had me gasping for air!
Great movie! Didn't expect it to be so thrilling but it was. As a parent you watch this thinking 'Dear Lord this is the worst kind of nightmare!' and as the movie progresses and you get an idea of what happened it still remains as scary. You get a hunch of what is going on in this movie very early on but there is left enough room to speculate other twists. I like how they ended the movie it was the best way to end it and I'm glad it didn't play out as a 'scary hospital human organ trafficking' kind of plot but went for a psychotic break down of epic proportions.
If you expect over the top blood, bodies and other horror stuff, pass this movie. If you want to watch a psychological thriller with a dark theme, go for it!
The pilot was very promising and this second episode is at the same level. I really like this story so far.
Joe is a very interesting character to follow because already I find myself being totally creeped out by him while at the same time rooting for him to get the girl. He has a warmth and kindness over him, like when he interacts with Paco, that can shift in a split second. Also like that from the voice over we can somewhat tell that he himself doesn't see it as creepy, the way he stalks Beck.
Can't wait to see how this develops further now that he got the girl, and the mention of Candace, what happened there.
That ending, seriously, edge of my seat, I can't wait to see how this unfolds.
Oh man... this finale had me bawling start to finish. I know a lot of people will have stuff to say but I loved it. I think they did the show justice. I hoped Pamela would die but a life in prison seems just as Negan said... it's worse for her than death. Walker Lance had me shook! I hoped they'd show him as a walker but I didn't think it would happen.
Rosita has never been a fave of mine but her death had me feeling A LOT. It was beautifully serene in the cruelest way. I had a feeling than when she fell and returned that they'd pull a Glenn again... having her survive but die later on. It was heartbreaking. That said I can't let Luke's death go. We didn't get much of Luke but the way his group reacted, the way he had to watch the woman he loved die gruesomely in front of him to then losing his leg and dying of that... it broke me!
The little moment between Maggie and Negan was so powerful. I'm so glad Maggie doesn't forgive him and in return I love that Negan now fully realizes what he's done to her.
Rick and Michonne's story is going to be interesting. I'm really hyped for the spin-off now that we've seen a glimpse of what that will look like. Seeing them brought back a lot of memories. Adding the montage of literal memories too it... My god... again; I cried.
Daryl saying 'I love you' to Carol meant the world to me. They really are soulmates. Platonic soulmates. I have so much love for the both of them.
I truly enjoyed the finale. It wrapped up a season that for me was bringing some of the OG magic back. I'll definitely revisit the show and I'm actually looking forward to the spin-offs now... which I didn't before but having our TWD end makes me ache for more.
How did the FBI let Betty run this entire investigation alone for that amount of time? How are all these kids now teachers at their old highschool without a teaching degree? Why aren't all parents pulling their kids from that school like Lemure's parents did? I have so many questions every time I watch Riverdale and yet here I am... still watching.
I have so much respect for Gunnhild. I never imagined I'd love her character this much when she came onto the show.
I haven't watched Batwoman (yet) but I have to say that Kate Kane seems like a cool character, even though I hear there is a lot of backlash for this show. I like that even in the midst of the crisis there is room for humor. Bringing Mick Rory in for the crisis is always a good idea and my heart skipped a beat when I heard Leonard as the AI for the Waverider. I'm diggin' all these guest roles so far and the story is developing at a good and steady pace. Next up, the Flash... my favorite in the DC series so that's going to be a treat, no doubt!
This was a great episode!
I am so curious what will happen next for Negan. Jadis will hopefully play a bigger part in the show now.
This was a great season! The conclusion was so fitting. I don't get why some people are upset that Love is dead - and yes she really is dead, they're not going to play the Candace card again -. Didn't we all know Love's fate the moment Joe laid eyes on her? The only thing that got her this far is her own insanity plus little baby Henry.
One thing this show is really good at is giving us a bunch of new characters each season that we somehow end up rooting for. I mean Dante, love that guy! Marienne, hope to see her again! And even f*cking Sherry and Cary! who proved to be in such a weird but strong relationship!
Can't wait to see what Joe is up to next season!
This might just have been the best episode of the entire series. There was a lot of tension, a lot of guessing and an incredible twist that I for one did not see coming. I have a lot of new theories already which will keep me busy until the comeback in April. I want to dive into my theories a bit for whoever is reading this. I think Gabriel opened the door for Wes (or Laurel, not Asher as is implied) and that they left together somewhere (it wouldn't surprise me if the two of them are somehow working together in bringing AK down). I think Asher talked to Bonnie and left her place, once he did Bonnie called Frank and sent him after Asher to 'deal with him'. Bonnie loved Asher once but she loves AK more, she always has and she wouldn't throw her under the bus, she made that clear to Nate, so as much as it would probably pain her, she would use Frank to silence Asher. Tegan, okay we saw her in the 'flash forward' asking about the body and her client. No way in hell she would represent Frank but she would represent Ollie (who we also saw in one of those flashes confessing to as he stated it 'being the murderer' which he would believe himself to be, considering that the victim is Asher and he did hit him over the head). This all makes sense in my head but I'm sure the writers have some major twist for us in store.
Everything in this episode was intens and crazy! This might even be my favorite episode of the show so far. I was shocked to see Oswald shoot Butch, I truly didn't see that coming and while I am sad to see Butch go (again and maybe even for real this time) it was nice to see Oswald getting back to his true nature because he was a little lost on that after the whole love thing with Ed. Also, speaking of Ed, the stabbing between him and Lee, tragic and fitting, can't wait how Hugo will 'fix' them.
And to top it of, the ending, Bruce and Jim standing by that big light, foreshadowing what's to come, goosebumps. I can't wait to see what will happen in the next (and sadly final) season.
episode title should have been: A total let down.
The show started so good and lost everything along the way. Charlotte was a let down already as A for having no realistic motive to target the girls but that was nothing compared to the reveal of A.D. No real motive to target all of the girls. No emotion. Nothing.
Nothing against the acting though. Thumbs up to Troian, she did a great job portraying both Spencer and Alex
Best part about the episode: MONA! Absolute queen.
and that fun bit the moms did, hinting back to the basement but not telling us anything!
It would've been best to stop after Mona was revealed as the original A. After that it went spiraling down.
Charles, FBI, working with his teenage half sister to bring down a cult. Ridiculous.
Cheryl has her stuffed dead brother hidden in a weird dungeon part of the house but leaves him sitting there under a mere blanket while she throws a party upstairs. Ridiculous.
Archie and Veronica both know Reggie gets beaten by his dad and don't inform any adults or police about it. Ridiculous.
This show is so silly but somehow I can't quit. I'm too invested now.
Erica is comedy gold! Steve and Dustin, yes yes yes, add Robin to the mix YES. And Alexei, o my god can we keep him! One episode of him and he already melted my heart.
I love how this season is extremely dark and extremely light at the same time.
