What a good film displaying the untold story of the group (more so the individual) responsible for deciding Nazi messages during the war that ultimately was the reason behind victory. Edge of your seat stuff as they do a good job honing in on the thought process and stress of it all in Alan Turning who boldly goes against order to create a different way to accomplish the task and how it is such a huge affect not being able to get the credit and keeping it all a secret.
The only negative about this film was that the ending after the resolution was a bit rushed through as it still wasn’t clear the resolution. But, it was a very intriguing and great film all the way through. Very mystical and thrilling as it follows a passenger ship traveling to a new Earth that experiences issues that results in a passenger being woken up out of deep sleep too soon and he has to figure out how to navigate those issues alone, until he makes a dramatic decision that turns the film into an epic love story that dives deep into the meaning of making the most of the present.
An interesting and fun plot for an action comedy as it follows 2 high school aquantinces who reunite in unlikely circumstances as one tricks the other into helping on a CIA mission right before their 20 year high school reunion. The casting is great and the hilarious scenes are great mixture with the action all the way through. It’s not the best movie in the world and it’s just a silly action but it’s for an entertaining watch.
A very sweet coming of age story about two young girls whose lives get uprooted when their mother suddenly gets killed and they have to go live with their estranged father. It may not be the best plot development or acting but it’s a nice family film watch on a night with nothing to do. It will certainly warm your heart.
A little premature with this short series about the impact of major role players in the new highness in women’s basketball after the 2023 and 2024 seasons but still a good watch and really well done as they don’t make it all about Caitlin Clark, by mixing in some other superstars. The filming had a great retrospective. Also the way they interviewed them and brought family into it to have their upbringings paint them in a different light than superstars was refreshing and motivatingly cool.
Not at all what I thought this film would be. Here I was thinking it would be a typical apocalypse type film going into detail about the civil war plot and following a group of activists, but instead it follows closely a group of journalists on the front lines as they travel to the heart of it all to get a story from a main source. There is very little about whats going on around them and more on the importance of taking photos and getting full info from the scene and how beauty can be found in anything. This is more of a artistic piece that portrays amazing filming and slow motion impact moments.
What an emotional roller coaster of the portrayal of the story of the Von Erich wrestling family, as the plot all revolves around the meaning of wrestling to the family and how one should never give up and that providing for your family is so important that personal dreams need to be temporarily set aside, but it can permanently damage a family emotionally. The casting and filming is great. The plot was decent, but they could have spent more time on the upbringing of the brothers. However, it was edge of your seat entertainment all the way through with a decent climax.
On of the strangest plot's of a film I've ever seen, however, it was entertaining and very well done as more of a cinema masterpiece. It follows 2 former best friends who's tennis careers revolve around chasing the same girl and it all comes to light in flashbacks during a big match at the end of the film. This is more of a sexual art of a evolution of a triangle relationship combined with the beauty of the sport of tennis. Was it entertaining? Yes. Would I watch it again? Probably just to give it another chance.
Plain and simple this is just a stupid slap stick comedy that you have to have the taste for. However, if you get paste all the big production and at times bad acting, its a very entertaining watch as it follows 2 irresponsible brothers who post a ad for 2 respectful dates to their sister's wedding in order to avoid messing up yet another family function, but things don't go according to plan.
Because there was a 2nd movie, there had to be a 3rd to clear the air and finish things off, which they do a good job of in this one although the ending seemed rushed although resolved. It follows of course Elle again and her enjoying the summer of her senior year with Noah and Lee and how college decisions, as well as other decisions again bring drama but to a whole different level as this is of course a coming of age story with a young woman going off to college. This is more of a fun lose plot to make the audience remember all the good times with these characters and then ties it all together in the end with some full circle moments.
Most of this film is just ehhhhh, as the original is so good and left for it to be unnecessary for a sequel, but the last half ending made it all worthwhile as the tears were just as big as the ending to the original. The plot development is a bit drawn out and less comedy this time as the ending of #1 made this story to be a hard hitting romance, but it made it worth it as it basically teared down their relationship just to rebuild it to make the audience fall back in love. Very much a edge of your seat and decent watch.
No doubt the best baseball/sports movie ever about a young family in Iowa whose head of the household has a painful past with baseball which is brought to the present as an unknown presence summons him to plow his cornfield and build a baseball field that magically creates a way for him to confront his past and bring to light the true meaning of life in his present. The casting, plot, and development of that plot is portrayed as well as a beautiful orchestra.
Great great casting to tell a story in modern movie makings about one of the best and most impactful storylines in American sports as it follows the Jackie Robinson story in the midst of him rising through the ranks and the impact it made. The scenery and filming, along with the intensified scenes of conflicts due to the impact of the overall event, is what makes this film so good and worth watching multiple times. However, something felt off and therefore it's not a 10/10.
Totally unnecessary 4th film in this saga, but still an entertaining watch with great CGI and action scenes despite the plot essentially back tracking and not progressing forward the storyline. Basically its just a tribute to the original main character, Caesar, and reiterating what he stood for and re-creating it as it follows a group of apes hundreds on years later whose village gets taken by another group of apes who have falsified what Caesar's founding was, and the incarcerated apes have to found a way home to rebuild and along the way get help from unlikely foes who bring back the true meaning of the founding of it all. The character development was very good and so is the evolution of the film with the lengthy screen time, so it makes for a decent watch.
What a very cute and clever film for a teen rom-com as it follows 2 best friends, a girl and a boy, who both find the unlikeliest of matches while running a kissing booth. What seemed like it was going to be a cute little rom-com turns out to be a full blown cry your eyes out romance tale. The casting is very good and so is the plot development but get your tissues ready.
What a fun show and quick show to watch that will allow your mind to go to a fantasy yet realistic land as you watch for the couples shop for their dream home in cool locatios.
Again like the 2nd film, the time gap between films starts with some unanswered questions but once you get past that the film very good and entertaining. Again the filming of the apes is very good, but this time the casting was a bit better. This one unlike the 2nd one did give the audience some deeper insight into apes history and into Caesar and also the start of the apocalypse. It’s a bit drawn out the film but it makes for a great somewhat fulfilling end.
Other than this sequence being nearly 10 years into the future from where #1 left off and therefore leaving a lot of unanswered questions it was really well done and entertaining. The plot development and acting/cgi of the apes was really impressive and fun to watch in action. However the casting I don’t think was that great. This story line follows the beginning of a big war between the humans and apes as they discover they both still exist after the apocalypse which makes for a edge of your seat conflict that builds up and ends with a great plot twist and action scene.
What an iconic slap stick comedy sports drama featuring one of the best slap stick comedy actors in Adam Sandler as it follows a young man who's passionate about hockey that has to some how come up with some cash really quick to save his grandma's house; and then a unique opportunity comes up for that occasion. Its a good heartfelt plot but of course it is a slap stick comedy which has great LOL moments all the way through and the way they blend all the types together is brilliant production.
What a cute idea of a film to make a rom-com out of old cliche in potential romantic partners being out of each other's leagues as this follows a more so nerdy unattractive young man who attracts a model-esc woman and how they both navigate the relationship which shows off the moral of the story being self-esteem plays a big role in a person's attractiveness. Its funny, quirky, sweet; everything you ant in a typical rom-com, but certainly not a cinematic masterpiece.
Really good watch emotional film about the pride of bomb sniffing dogs and their handlers in the Marines as it follows a decorated veteran's true story of how she fought to adopt her Marine dog after going through hell together. Its a short and sweet kind of film but it does a good job of plot development enough to get the audience to connect with the characters and story. Its got some good edge of your seat scenes but will mostly glue you to your seat for the heartwarming bond.
What a very cute heartwarming tv show about a young English couple who go on a journey of adopting children which has the audience experience their relationship grow as well. The acting is very good, it’s funny, the plot is well scripted and it’s of course heart warming.
What a phenomenal sports documentary that covers the New England Patriots rise to legendary status through Belichick and Brady. Unlike some sports documentaries on monumental pieces of sports history/teams, this one actually has most all the key people participating in the interview process. Noting more special about how it was made compared to others, but what makes it great is that this is a story that was finally delve into that all sports fans are either appalled by or fascinated by and will keep any of one of them on the edge of their seat.
What a great / interesting idea for a TV series as it follows a successful American football coach who takes a job as a head coach of a soccer club in England in order to get away from his problems at home, only to discover that the job was not as it seemed it would be. The casting is brilliant in this heartfelt comedy that would have been nice to last longer than 3 seasons, but 3 seasons seemed appropriate. Its not a spectacle by any means, but certainly a good time binge worthy show.
A very good thriller idea as this follows, a tracker/bounty hunter, who is his own team other than two people who help him as he is a four higher contractor by people who need help finding a lost individual or are in other kind of trouble. Each episode is a different story. However, there is a underlying story developing here early on that really makes the audience fall in love with the main character even more. The casting is just average and the show doesn’t take your breath away, but it is a good entertaining watch that keeps you on the edge of your seat, but doesn’t have many cliff hangers, as each episode is a new story.
Only negative about this movie is that it is a little too long. Certainly feels a little dragged out however, the plot development is very good and keeps you entertained the whole time. This follows the incredible true story about a young man who wins a chance to become a race car driver, after being one of the best online Sim racers. It is certainly a unique story in the racing world. The casting is very good and you definitely get a good sense for getting to know each key character, which really helps you in. The filming is really cool how it integrates the impact of the video game simulator and real life. Certainly a great watch for this kids generation in racingcertainly would watch it again. Very entertaining.
Just a solid, cute family like film based around a dad and his daughter as he somehow ends up being the soul swing boat of the presidential campaign. Very fictional, but at the same time could be true. Unlike some movies that have a political base this movie is very central and doesn’t sway to either side. It is a heartwarming film as it is showing a struggling dad and his daughter how the daughter takes care of him And wants him to be better but also about how ugly the political presidential election can get. The plot development is spot on and it is very easy and entertaining to follow.
What a great idea of a plot for a baseball movie that blends romance into it as it follows a big time major league picture who is in the middle of one of his best games of all time as he reminisces over the timetable of him and his current girlfriend, and whether or not, he should retire and go spend time with her. I love these type of movies that go through a whole storyline based around one event in the whole movie. Of course, Kevin Costner is always a great casting, and other were as well. This movie really puts into words and actions of how the game of baseball truly is the pastime and it is romantic.
What a great heartwarming, family film about a father and his two children who go and buy a zoo with a new home after the recent death of the mother to rejuvenate things. The lead up and plot development is quick, but instructive as it quickly gets in to the thick of the plot and gives the audience a great pleasurable film that is heartwarming. All the characters are casted really well and they’re very likable for the audience.
What a great action packed dark humor film following all/most of the villains from DC as they are given a second chance but first have to complete a dangerous mission under the watchful eyes of the government. The target/villain in is very unique and hooks the audience right in. The character introductions are well done and help with the plot development and audience attraction towards them. Great action/stunts as always.
