Overall I really enjoyed this season. I can't remember the 1st one really well so I can't say whether I liked this one better or worse. I will say, I was disappointed that nearly episode seemed to focus more on politically charged messages than horror. To each his own. If they make a season 3 and focus more on politics, I'm guessing this show will be tabled for me much like AHS.
Season 2 did not disappoint!! I'm already anxious for season 3 :blush::blush:
Overall, this was not a bad series and it is one that will make you think from time to time. I really believe it could have soared had they extended the episodes (or at least had more than 7) and fleshed out the characters a bit more. I've never played the game so I cannot compare any of the mythos, I can only relate to the anime as it stands by itself.
All in all, not a complete waste of time. The episode length at least makes it for an easy binge.
Season 1 was a little dry but was still interesting due to the cast of characters. I really enjoyed the team of scientists that help out. In season 2, they really were not involved at all. Season 2 was dreadfully dull and the entire story arc could have been summarized into 2 or 3 episodes. The only thing truly entertaining was the display of food.
This was an excellent series! From start to finished I absolutely adored it! The characters were developed well, and the skating was simple eye candy. The ending certainly took me by surprise and I really hope there is a second season to continue these character's lives!
Overall I rather enjoyed the season. And it definitely felt like a prequel to something larger - especially with the multiple episodes that seemed disjointed with missing information I'm sure was lost somewhere on the cutting room floor. Hopefully there's a season 2 that's a bit more coherent like the 1st half of ssn 1.
This was much better than expected! Kind of a cross between Lord of the Flies, Dark, and Lost. Hopefully they do a second season! After that finale, I'd love to see where the next one goes.
Season 2 did not disappoint. I don't think I can wait until February to find out if season 3 is renewed...
This was a nice send off to a great series. I think Netflix did an amazing job of successfully tying up every loose thread imaginable. Though there were some quirky outcomes and some that just weren't fair, overall it was a great series ending.
Phenomenal first season and the best yet since Dare Devil first aired.
Phenomenal second season! The creators did a great job building up the characters while still focusing on the upside down. The events in the first season opened up a flood gate of questions and this season helped highlight and expand on the ramifications of their actions. Life cannot just go on as normal. There are consequences and it was great to see those portrayed realistically.
The introduction of Max I guess was inevitable considering their age and how eventually some of them will start dating. It will be interesting to see how their friendships survive in future seasons but I like how mature Dustin is watching his crush pair up with his best friend. Dustin and Steve's friendship is the best though and I hope they keep building that in future seasons.
The only episode I thought was a bomb was episode 7 Lost Sister. Unless they were using that as a tease to find interest in a spin-off, it was pointless. And if they wanted to show El's temptation to the dark side, we already saw that in season 1. If it's purpose was solely for another hairstyle change, there's MTV (for those that didn't grow up in the '80's, back then it really was Music Television). And please, in future seasons, please lose the slicked back '50's hairstyle for El...A Siouxie Sioux or Joan Jett hairstyle would look much better on her and would definitely hit the era more.
Over all, I want more please. :-)
The first episode is more than a bit dry and has led many of my friends to give up on the series. I myself almost didn't watch the second episode but I was tired and didn't feel like searching for another series to watch. And I'm glad i didn't because the second episode is where everything really started to formulate and it only improved from there on out. Overall, an absolutely amazing first season. I cannot wait to see what they come up with in season 2!
This was an amazing season and did not disappoint in the least. The writers did a phenomenal job of overlaying the individual story-lines and combining them into one believable mash-up without sacrificing their core beliefs just to get them all together in one room. It was also great to get to know The Hand a bit better and witness their internal struggles. (Now to learn more about The Chaste after all the nuggets of information dropped within...But I digress.)
As with each individual series, this one starts slow introducing the basic plot lines and converging them through solid exposition, and gradually increases in momentum until it's climax, ending with a neat and tidy wrap-up that will leave viewers wanting more. A lot more.
Overall I think the season was ok. It was too formulaic and they tried to mimic the first movie way too much. Add to that cardboard acting/bad script and unlikable characters and you have a meh season. Some episodes were better than others but very low kill count for a series. If the writers need to know how to do a serial killer tv show, they should watch Harper's Island for inspiration.
Season 1 was amazing! My only regret is putting off watching this show for as long as I did...On to season 2!
Loved the first three seasons but this season just didn't work for me. Every time the show started to play out as horror, it fizzled just as quickly as it began ultimately turning into a drama (and a depressing one at that). This season was pretty boring and definitely not horror (I've seen more horrific episodes on Criminal Minds). Characters were good, and I like the returning actors but again...not a horror story in the least.
