This movie is everything you'd expect it to be. Which is exactly why I enjoyed it! (I do have a soft spot for disaster/creature features). Predictable plot, some decent tense moments, and just pure fun! See you later alligator :smile:
Am I the only one who thought this episode made no sense because we were missing a giant piece of the puzzle?
Oof that ending! And am I the only one that hates Wendy?
When I first read about them filming this my first reaction was why followed by please don't. Then after I saw the trailer I still held onto the why. I finally watched it and that sentiment still remains...why???? I've read the original Dark Phoenix saga. It may not be my favorite story arc like most fans but its a solid one and good for Jean Grey fans. It would be nice to see it done right on the big screen. Considering they have mucked up nearly every X-Men storyline and character over the years, I really was hoping they wouldn't touch this. But they did.
The only characters interesting to watch were Magneto and Vuk (she's the bad guy). Otherwise, the special effects were spot on. But for a storyline that was supposed to be filled with action, it was rather dull.
I wanted to be wrong and like this. But I really just can't. It wasn't a waste of time, but it's definitely forgettable.
Two episodes down and this series has yet to disappoint me. Great mystery so far immersed in one of the best sci-fi series I have seen in ages.
That last shot with the three of them in the elevator skyrockets this episode to the top!
the worst part of this episode...losing Charlie... :-(
Another excellent episode! My only complaint was the use of stop action filming in the last fight scene...It just felt out completely of place and cheapened the shot. Other than that, I'm very happy with the season so far.
With Netflix I always expect great things and they always deliver. With this episode, they exceeded my expectations. Phenomenal start to the series!!
The ending was...disheartening to say the least. But also a very nice set up for a third season.
Despite the ultimate ending, Tamerlane's fall was beautifully shot.
Am I the only one that thinks that Jade is just an idiot?!?
When they went on the boat, I knew that was his point. I really, really, really wanted to be wrong...
Loved the first episode and here comes this one making it even better!! The jumps back in time really add dimension to the characters and explain so much as to the motivations of the original team. Can't wait to find out more!!
This movie was so terrible it was actually good. Nice and entertaining and complete brain-free.
I'm finding Sam and Robbie to be the most 2 dimensional, boring storyline ever...
This series definitely improves with every episode. I'm glad that I hung in there. Heres hoping they continue to improve. :-)
The entire dark Josie storyline could have been epic but it truly fell flat. The humor they tried to infuse in the season felt forced most of the time. I had higher hopes...Here's to bigger hopes that the next season tries to forget the last bad episodes and carry on in a better direction.
Such a fun romp! I could see this being a series too.
Actions have consequences...with his coworkers, and with the inmates they interview. This is going to be a very hard lesson for Holden. Recent events knocked him down a peg. It will be interesting to see how this develops.
Watching this movie only illustrates how important it is not to listen to advertising...especially when it comes to critics and movies. Early on, after the funeral I had expected this to be a ghost story. Most ghost stories are slow burns as the suspense builds. Hours after leaving the theater, I'm still waiting for the suspense to build.
If they had turned this movie into a drama centering around the deaths in the family and how they dealt with the tragedy, it would have been a phenomenal drama. Left as it is, it fails miserably.
Each episode gets better and better. Love the pink backpack :-)
Excellent mini series all around. Almost makes me want to run out and grab the book to read (but that list is considerably longer than my movie list). If the last episode doesn't convince you of her guilt, I'm not sure what will. Ultimately it is a shame she never ran off with Jeremiah but that wouldn't have made a good story now would it?
Definitely better than the first 2 episodes but I do find it tedious to continually watch teenage dramas that portray cheerleading and football as the only high school activity for the lead actors.
Though they are all just lambs to the slaughter, that was one character I hoped would make it...
The first episode is more than a bit dry and has led many of my friends to give up on the series. I myself almost didn't watch the second episode but I was tired and didn't feel like searching for another series to watch. And I'm glad i didn't because the second episode is where everything really started to formulate and it only improved from there on out. Overall, an absolutely amazing first season. I cannot wait to see what they come up with in season 2!
Well that was torture (and I love musicals). Sorry...Xena and Buffy set the bar way out of reach for this catastrophe.
hmmm...lock of hair = paternity test...
great start for the show! much better than the letdown Scream series (season 1) I just binge watched
